It wasn't the first time we came to have lunch at this restaurant. The place is nice, the food is quality and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Even though it was Easter Sunday, which is notoriously to be avoided due to too many people and the risk of poorer service, we had a good time. The restaurant was obviously full but we still ate well and at a fair price. We will definitely be back.

Friendly and easy-going place, quick service (despite the Easter crowd) and above all kind, abundant and tasty cuisine that respects tradition, affordable price, very generous owner towards children.
I recommend stopping for refreshments if you want to live a Bolognese experience both in terms of tasting and hospitality.
Last but not least, a place that supports research into epilepsy.

We book a table for 22 people (a school group on a trip to Bologna with 4 teachers). 7 students decide not to have dinner (they are still asked to pay cover, I understand if the place was full, but it wasn't at 7.30pm). 15 students eat and we decide to take 4 portions of each first course (4 first courses, therefore 16 dishes in total, served in 4 baking dishes). The portions arrive very quickly (the pasta was probably pre-cooked) and of low quality (nothing but Bolognese sauce). I ask for bread but it's not on the menu (not bad, I order 4 tigelle which I obviously pay for). Not to mention the wine, paid separately, €15 per person for those who have dined (I have been frequenting Bologna for years, the quality/food price offered is not from Bologna, water at €3.50 not even in Portofino). The person in charge of the tables orders us to clear out quickly (even though we had to collect the money of 15 students). The typical Emilian welcome, not even by a long shot (I say this as a Ligurian, let alone). The only positive note is that the place and the outside are beautiful.

Warm and welcoming environment, amazing food, kind staff who put you in a good mood and an extraordinary atmosphere.
I will definitely return to eat at the historic Lambrusco inn - it is a place to absolutely visit, preferably with friends and a desire to eat typical local cuisine.
