23/09/2025: I came here for the first time to order fries. I immediately received a warm welcome and coffee. They also asked if I wanted to order something to eat or if I wanted to grab a sandwich for the road. I had a delicious pasta meal. The service was excellent. I'll be back soon and happy to do so. If I could give them a 10***, they would have.

28/09/2025: Good Falanghina wine, excellent eggplant meatballs, and the gramigna pasta with sausage and cream was delicious. As for dessert, the cheesecake was particularly gelatinous, and the red fruits on top were shriveled from the cold. The service was very friendly.

18/08/2025: A historic restaurant in the center of Bologna. I went there fearing it had become a tourist-only place, but the tradition lives on! A varied selection of boiled meats, homemade pasta, and even the tortellini. The restaurant has both an indoor dining room and tables under the portico (a bit close together, but space is limited and there's a lot of customers). Reservations are required. Quick and friendly service. Prices are reasonable.

It's not a fancy restaurant, but the added value here is tradition, good food as it was once made: excellent tortellini, tagliatelle with amazing ragù, lasagna, zuppa inglese—everything is excellent. Everything is handmade by these two sisters, continuing the family tradition, bringing honor to the tradition and value of our city's food in Bologna. 05/09/2025: I was looking for a nice restaurant where we could eat the famous lasagna bolognese and we found la gigiona on the internet, too bad that when we arrived we were astonished because instead of a good restaurant we found ourselves in a luxury restaurant taking us back to the 80s in terms of location and also the food which disappointed me greatly.

16/09/2025: A stop during our campervan trip. I already knew it (I'd been there, but over 20 years ago), and since I was passing by around lunchtime, I wanted to try it. A lovely setting in the countryside, yet just a few minutes' drive from Bologna. It's an unpretentious trattoria, with good food. Prices are perhaps a little high (!?), but if you eat well, you can't complain. The staff and owner were very friendly, smiling, and helpful (which isn't always a given). So, in the end, we were quite satisfied.

26/09/2025: The restaurant is housed partly inside an old building and partly on a large, recently constructed brick veranda with a wooden ceiling and some paneling to dampen noise. Outside, there's a large garden with a few tables, unfortunately not used for lunch, I assume, due to lack of shade. In addition to the à la carte menu, a fixed-price menu is available for lunch; both dishes are good, as are the desserts. Parking is available on the street or in a small lot behind the restaurant, accessed by walking to the left of the entrance. The staff is friendly and helpful. Access is level.

11/10/2025: If you're looking for a place to eat in Bologna that feels like home and reflects true tradition, Antica Trattoria San Sisto is worth a visit, even though it's a bit out of town (near the Fiera area). The atmosphere is reminiscent of old-fashioned trattorias, unpretentious, but the experience is enhanced by the attentive and friendly staff (who are truly attentive, guiding you through your choices from start to finish). We recommend following their advice on the menu, especially the meats. The charcuterie and cheese platter is excellent to start. Then, opt for the mixed grill or the tagliata (sliced ​​meats). The quality of the meat is remarkable and perfectly cooked. I recommend accompanying everything with a side of grilled vegetables or potatoes. Despite the abundance and the good wine, the bill remained around €30-40 per person, truly excellent value for such a sumptuous dinner. A place that leaves you with a smile.
