Trattoria Casa Mia In Bologna

A truly authentic Italian trattoria — exactly the real deal! 😊 The octopus was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

This trattoria is located under the porticoes, a few hundred meters from Porta Saragozza (BO). It seats about twenty in the small indoor dining room and another twenty on the outdoor terrace right under the porticoes (perhaps a little too noisy due to the traffic on Via Saragozza). A friendly and smiling young woman (owner?) welcomes you and leads you to the table inside. The menu is typically Bolognese, ranging from cold cuts to lasagna (unfortunately only available on Saturdays and Sundays), tortellini, meatballs, and a Bolognese cutlet. We opted for a tortellino in parmesan fondue and a Bolognese cutlet with a side of puntarelle, and a house Sangiovese in a carafe. (We wanted to eat light; Emilian cuisine is notoriously overwhelming.) What can I say... Everything was amazing, from the welcome, to the dishes, to the wine. Will we be back? Definitely to try the rest of the menu.

My dad and I went there by chance. We found it on Maps and read the menu outside as soon as we arrived. It offers a lunch menu (Monday to Friday) for €14 per person, including a first course, second course, and cover charge. I was amazed by the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the friendliness of the brunette who looked after us. Added to the "food" section of my saved places on Maps, so if I ever come back, I'll already know where to go ;)

Amazing reward meal after climbing the nearby San Luca porticos. We didn't have a reservation, but gratefully, they were still able to seat the two of us. Everything was perfect, the weekend-special lasagna was perfect. As was the ragu pasta -- pure perfection. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat. Make to you make a reservation, you might not be as lucky as we were!

The green lasagna was very appetizing and the staff were friendly and attentive. I'd gladly come again!

A quaint restaurant on Via Saragozza in Bologna. Fabulous food, carefully prepared, impeccable service by highly professional, courteous, and cheerful young women. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

Excellent restaurant in Bologna, definitely worth the 15-minute walk from the city center. I was nearby visiting a fortified Renaissance gate. I had braised broccoli with cilantro as a starter and then the local dish known as spaghetti Bolognese with a mixed salad. Very good, and the waitress was very helpful. A must-try.

Stopped here for lunch on the walk back from Saint Luca and had a small bite to eat. An asparagus pasta dish and the chocolate cake, both were utterly delicious. It was being enjoyed by locals and tourists. Bologna has so many places to eat and this an example of a great little one.
