15/02/2026: THE charm of lightness "Nanninella" Innovation at the service of lightness. This is the only way to summarize, or perhaps it should be, the inspiration of owner and "Pizza Chef," Raffaele Boccia. Such is his mastery in making his masterpieces so rare and melt-in-the-mouth. A synthesis and antithesis, he grew up under the tutelage of four generations of bakers, from whom he inhaled the fascination of the secrets of water, flour, and sourdough starter directly in the field, studying with masters of leavening like Rolando Morandin and in London with the celebrated chef Jamie Oliver. His obsessive attention to cooking and the perfect pairings with toppings, which have earned him university teaching positions, make him a reliable choice from the menu. 7.5-degree view Tradition in evolution. A multifaceted space with an intense, contemporary, and sophisticated atmosphere—in its furnishings, colors, and LED lighting—that draws on the familiarity of old-fashioned Italian trattorias to make guests feel at ease. The interior, with fake greenery hanging from the walls and ceiling, a bouquet of flowers on the marble table, chairs with an elaborately carved floral motif, and a floor made of large gray tiles with a matte finish, contribute to a clean, modern look. However, the non-unique character of the space and the clear separation of the dining room from the spacious and beautiful oven area perhaps detracts from the latter and does little to enhance the transparency. 9.5% preparation Tradition and innovation at the service of lightness with highly hydrated doughs, 70-75% for contemporary styles, meticulous management of the gluten network, and methodical use of cold water and kneading techniques result in pizzas with ample, even air pockets that yield to the bite without stretching. It features the champion's signature, perfectly blending triple leavening (dough, dough balls, and a small pan) and strong flours, allowing the gases to escape to the max, resulting in a large, even crust and a Guinness-caliber softness. The fried foods are delicious, with no oil on the surface, a good breading, and toppings with sauces that don't overpower the flavor. 8 Ingredients A proposal based on meticulous research into excellent raw materials, often sourced from small artisans and farmers in Campania. The main ingredients include: San Marzano DOP tomatoes and semi-dried cherry tomatoes (both red and yellow) for intense and flavorful bases. The dairy products include a selection of buffalo mozzarella DOP, fior di latte, smoked provola, and specialties such as "mistobufala." The condiments are flavored extra virgin olive oil and lemon zest for citrus notes. Service 8 The table setting is consistent with the menu. 15/02/2026: Calling Nanninella a pizzeria is incorrect. It's a sublime experience. The pizza is unparalleled, and Raffaele and his staff have created an Eden of quality, values, courtesy, and love. We've tried many of the best-known and most renowned pizzerias, but Nanninella rightfully deserves top spot. Don't forget to finish with the desserts, which will let you experience the exceptional wisdom and knowledge Raffaele has gained by combining experience abroad with Italian tradition and his capacity for study and innovation. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

08/04/2026: I stopped by for breakfast. The atmosphere was a bit chaotic, probably because many local Italians were coming here for a quick espresso and a chat with friends before work. But that's a good sign that it's not an expensive tourist trap. The staff were very friendly and noticed tourists who spoke little or no Italian and responded in English. The pastries were still warm and really delicious, but the espresso was a bit strong for my taste. Pastries and espresso cost under €5. This cafe is definitely worth a visit!

01/02/2026: We'd heard good things about this trattoria, and I must say our expectations were not only met, but exceeded. A genuine place, one where you immediately sense the atmosphere of old-fashioned cooking, without frills but with plenty of substance. We started with the house antipasto: a lovely selection of small tastings of local produce and vegetables, all flavorful, authentic, and carefully prepared. Each dish spoke of the region, simple yet full of flavor. On the waiter's recommendation, we then chose the first courses, and what a perfect choice. The Genovese was rich, fragrant, and well-crafted, while the ragù with tomato sauce and minced goat meat had a bold, intense flavor, the kind you won't forget. The trofie with walnuts and lard were also excellent: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For our second course, we had a perfectly cooked roast veal, incredibly tender and uniquely flavorful, accompanied by a generous and well-made mix of meats. Quality meat, cooked to perfection. To round out the evening, coffee and amaro, as tradition dictates. All this with a perfectly reasonable bill, in fact, more than fair for what we ate. An authentic trattoria, where the food is truly good, leaving you full and satisfied, and eager to return. Highly recommended for those who love authentic cuisine, the kind that warms the stomach and the heart. 🍷🍖🍝
31/01/2026: We ordered a cut of meat. When it arrived at the table, the color wasn't convincing. We tasted a piece, immediately felt a strong tingling in our mouths, and realized something was wrong. We tried to smell it. As soon as we put the meat under our noses, an incredible stench struck us. We called the waiter, and told him to take it away immediately. A minute later, the owner arrived with that same meat in his hands without a plate. He was arrogant toward us, repeatedly telling us that the meat was good and that it was just our impression. He obviously wanted to murder us. We, scared, didn't listen to him and asked for the bill to leave. In the end, he even made us pay for that smelly, poisonous meat!! Being good people, we didn't complain, but we will forever give bad publicity to this restaurant!! P.S. There were 4 of us A small appetizer for two And that smelly sliced ​​steak plus a bottle of unpleasant, stale-tasting wine: €120.00 Terrible experience!!

19/09/2025: Gem of a restaurant! Probably the best meal we have enjoyed in Ischia and definitely the least expensive. If you want authentic Italian food prepared and served in a family-run restaurant, this is it! Plus it is close to a sandy beach. The lemon linguini, prawn risotto and zucchini flowers with ricotta were very special dishes. Six stars!!!!

14/03/2026: We had 3 nights booked at the hotel and had dinner one evening. What a beautiful experience. Delicious food, with outstanding service. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. The restaurant opens in the evenings, although Google states "closed". The dinner hours are specified from 19.00 to 23.00 hrs.
30/01/2026: Dinner experience on Thursday, January 29, 2026. I was hesitant to eat there because, being winter and the hotel undergoing renovations, there was scaffolding at all the restaurant windows. Aside from the two of us, when we arrived at 7:30 pm, there was only one other couple and their child. So, I preferred to disregard the atmosphere, because if tourists don't go in winter, it's not their fault, and renovations are inevitable for all buildings. So, we sat down anyway. And we were very glad we went. Everything was perfect! The waiter started by offering us a plate of delicious little bites. Then, I ordered the "Ricardo menu" and was first served a seafood platter with an assortment of beautifully prepared bites! My wife started with the lemon risotto. She loved it. Then my zucchini ravioli were delicious, and my wife had a veal escalope with lemon, which she also enjoyed. We shared a fruit panna cotta and a cappuccino. All of this was served with impeccable service. Thank you. Grazie!

02/11/2025: One of the most amazing restaurants I’ve ever been to with the kindest owners. The soup was like the most perfect soup I’ve ever had. It was better than chicken noodle soup. It was like some kind of combination of every culture that I’ve ever been to into one bowl and it hit the spot. Plus, they were open super late when everybody else turned me away.
