01/07/2024: Excellent restaurant, at the foot of the Pollino in Basilicata. I recommend the tasting menu to be able to savor the many dishes created by the chef-philosopher-patron FEDERICO VALICENTI. The appetizers are very delicious (the Cruschi peppers cooked well: crunchy and not burnt... coming from a Calabrian who married a Lucanian 35 years ago😁). The 9 INGREDIENT CAKE is remarkable... ingredients that I will never remember. Two tastings of first courses (perhaps I would have liked them more abundant... considering my passion for pasta). And two tastings of tender and tasty meat... Watch out for the CHEF 🤣... after each course he approaches to explain: the name of the dish, the ingredients and the PHILOSOPHY that led him to create that particular dish... yes, because "CREATION" is deals with. What to say? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... I celebrated my wedding anniversary there this June 1st... and it was worth it (a few little curves to get there😁🤣😁). 30/06/2024: Non è un semplice ristorante, è un'esperienza culturale più ampia, in ogni piatto Federico Valicenti ci mette una storia e ogni storia ha il suo piatto. Preso in un'occasione il suo menù degustazione (€40) di "cucina dialettale", una cucina di gusto ma ancor di più di pensiero, indispensabile per affacciarsi sul suo piccolo, grande mondo antico, in una seconda visita nella settimana di permanenza sul Pollino abbiamo scelto alla carta: menzione per il "grattonato", che veniva servito come antipasto ai matrimoni d'antan qui a Terranova, una trippa di ovino con fegato&cuore in un buon brodo di manzo, con cacio&uovo non rappresi (e qui sta l'abilità del cuoco); la "rahatana", una grande arancia fritta con dentro carne di maiale, cruschi, vincotto e cannella, di gran impatto scenico. Si pranza anche sulla terrazza, bella balconata sulla valle verde, con sguardo che spazia dalla Timpa di San Lorenzo alla Serra di Crispo, creste dolci, rassicuranti. Lo chef ti accompagna nel percorso, e questo è il grande valore aggiunto, imperdibile.

10/08/2024: Da premettere, non sono un amante del sushi. Il Torii Sushi Restaurant mi ha fatto cambiare idea. Ho veramente provato piacere gustando i piatti proposti. Se avessi dovuto esprimere voti in una giuria avrei dato 10 al servizio, 10 alla preparazione e 10+ ai sapori dei piatti davvero squisiti. Ci ritornerò

For work we decide to stop here for a lunch and discover original flavours, good food and a very nice place. We decide to opt for two appetizers "cob appetizer and homemade appetizer" accompanied by the excellent, very, very good bread. Two first courses (abundant) I would like to point out because today they tend to make small plates. Pappardelle with sausage ragù (also phenomenal because they make their own pappardella) and equally excellent strascinati with cacio and peppers.
We complete the meal with two cuts of veal with rocket and parmesan flakes cooked rare... fantastic. If you pass by here remember to stop because it's worth it. Book 👍. Look at the menu because the prices are excellent

24/08/2024: Consumed 2 approximate granitas with tasteless cedar syrup, also expensive. 50m away there is a small ice cream shop that offers delicious products at reasonable prices. An experience absolutely not to be repeated.

13/08/2024: As tourists we arrived in Anzi, parked the car at the beginning of the town... and after a walk in the historic centre..... we arrived in front of the restaurant. It was lunch time, we asked if there was room, they let us sit... and talking about this and that, it turned out that our car was parked at the opposite end of where we were. The manager immediately warned us that it was far away and that if we wanted, she would have us take one of their cars to pick it up. So we did. IT WAS TRULY A VERY SPECIAL AND USEFUL ATTENTION TO CUSTOMERS. Then we made our choices from the menu... and with great pleasure we had the opportunity to taste tasty and professionally prepared dishes with excellent quality raw materials. All enjoyed by all the guests... appetizers, first courses and second courses. THE ATTENTIVE, CAREFUL AND DISCREET SERVICE. A RESTAURANT TO BE RECOMMENDED TO ALL THOSE WHO WANT TO SAVOR ANCIENT TASTES.

In wild nature, surrounded by olive trees and lulled by the sound of cicadas...you can relax by the swimming pool. You can also taste traditional dishes of Italian cuisine prepared on site with seasonal products.
Dario's welcome is magnificent.
I recommend this place.

21/08/2024: We arrived without booking on the "advice" of the hotelier where we slept because in his restaurant he didn't have anything to prepare for us having "the warehouse empty" due to our lack of half board choice, but we can't stop thanking the chef for letting us meet two people kind, welcoming, available like Mrs. Lillina and her husband. With expert hands she prepared a delicious dinner that was not at all improvised but was the result of that ancient but much maligned sense of hospitality by chatty hosts and then that holding back with sympathy and grace that together with the the goodness of the dishes demands a return...because what more do you want? a Lucanian! was the answer, yes but authentic and genuine (and as good as Mrs. Lillina)
18/08/2024: All tastes that don't justify the price. The first one wasn't even brought to us, due to problems related to water but without any discount on the final bill (30 euros each). The second course (cod with cruschi peppers) was always a little taste. The service was terrible, the waitress brought us coffees that we had never ordered, insisting in a not very polite tone on the fact that we had ordered them. From an osteria I would expect more generous portions or at least proportionate to the price.

Arriviamo in perfetto orario e nessuno del personale ci degna della minima considerazione. Sala piena zeppa di clienti dell'Hotel San Martino di cui La Locanda è il ristorante. Attendiamo fino a che non veniamo indirizzate verso un tavolo tristissimo in un angolo lontanissimo dalla zona all'aperto, tra due pareti soffocanti, data la calura del momento.
Ora..se il ristorante non può garantire il tavolo prenotato, non è il caso che prenda prenotazioni. Oltretutto l'ambiente è quello della mensa dell'oratorio del mio paese quando c'è la sagra. Quindi triste esperienza che ci siamo lasciate alle spalle senza sederci al tavolo. E mai più ritorneremo. Pessima, pessima esperienza.
10/07/2024: Il ristorante di pesce è tra i migliori in cui abbiam mai mangiato. I piatti non solo erano preparati con qualità eccelsa dei prodotti, ma anche con cura per l’impiattamento. Servizio attento e cordiale. Grande attenzione alle intolleranze: mia moglie è celiaca ed ha potuto gustare un ottimo risotto e un polipo su un friccando’ agrodolce che non lasciava scampo: se lo è gustato tutto! Io ho preso la ceviche di ricciola e gambero rosso: spaziale. Per non parlare delle seppie ripiene: le più buone che abbia mai mangiato. Un piatto delicato, strutturato e solo all’apparenza semplice. L’ambiente è molto carino: con un albero (quercia) che adorna il giardino rendendolo magico. Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente. Un’ottima cena.

05/05/2024: Last night I went to eat a pizza in this pizzeria and I can say that it was a pleasant surprise, friendly and nice staff, more than satisfactory pizza, good service and excellent quality and price, for two people we spent 22 euros for two on pizza, drinks and cover charge and the lady also offered us coffee. I will definitely return, recommended

26/08/2024: One of the best meals of recent years. After the exceptional appetizer based on typical Lucanian products we were already full, but we couldn't give up a nice plate of grilled lamb (extraordinary). Cozy place and very kind staff. We'll be back...
