24/08/2025: First time in Castelmezzano and the first place we ate. We arrived for lunch after 3:20 PM, but were still welcomed and served. The strascinati and peperoni cruschi were excellent. The antipasto frittatine and the house wine were very good. Fair prices and trattoria-style portions, finally!

02/09/2025: Hello, I'm thrilled to visit this elegant, renovated, family-run café. When I come to Lagonegro with my family, I love the gelato, which my children adore, as does my husband. New, innovative flavors reflect the creativity of the owner, Mr. Andrea, who is always friendly, personable, and cheerful, like his entire family. We have many cafés in Rome; in Lagonegro, a café in the city center is well-decorated, bright, and pleasant, and also offers excellent breakfasts with a variety of croissants. Excellent service, great atmosphere. 10/10

06/09/2025: I'd give it 6 stars if I could. The staff are friendly and professional, and the dishes are traditional Lucanian. Vegetables, meat, and wine are locally sourced. Both the first and second courses are excellent, and the veal, in particular, is so good and flavorful, cooked simply with rosemary. The desserts are excellent, what more could I ask for? Highly recommended!

28/08/2025: Delicious pizza 😍 I love the one with creamy potatoes and sausage! Nice place... unfortunately, however, the last time I was there they made us sit outside. We ate and then asked for something else but they made it clear to us in a very unkind way that it wasn't possible as they had to seat other people waiting (a family)... they had probably booked but had forgotten.... We didn't like this behavior at all... in fact, we won't be back again! The only shame is that we liked the pizza... As for the rest, we will definitely find better elsewhere!

We spent a special weekend with lunch and an overnight stay, plus a fun horseback trek with the impeccable guidance of instructor Franco and his special horses! Thank you, Anna and Franco, for this experience that we will definitely repeat! Highly recommended.

19/06/2025: I have been a guest of Pierfaone on the occasion of some weddings, including, recently, mine! I can confirm the very high quality and professionalism of the service as well as the food, very difficult to find elsewhere. The location is beautiful and well-kept, as well as being suggestive in winter and welcoming in summer. Both for events and for staying, the climate is mild and fresh even in summer. Absolutely and warmly recommended. Thanks in particular to Donato and Daniele who were impeccable as well as to the rest of the staff, from the first to the last available, kind and very prepared!

You are greeted by the atavistic uncertainties of those who, believing that there is a reason to be in San Chirico Nuovo or Tolve, ask, "Did you come because you have relatives here?", but you leave with the conviction that these places, the people and animals that inhabit them, are a treasure to be treasured and discovered. All around is the silent and respectful futuristic elegance of windmills, placed to guard ancestral paths, traversed by horses, foxes, wild boars, cows, and mythological figures.

13/07/2025: This is an authentic country retreat, a genuine farm with the soothing sound of cicadas, crickets, birdsong, mooing and neighing, and cowbells. Far from glossy postcards of "cover-worthy" farmhouses, here you can experience the kindness of the hosts and their amazing cuisine, made with local products and their own livestock. A clean, grass-fringed pool with a sweeping view of wheat fields, spacious, cool, and clean rooms. The owners' dogs are incredibly sweet and contribute to the homely, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for those who want to truly unplug from the frenetic pace of the city. Lovers of cheap shabby chic should refrain.

18/08/2025: We tried this restaurant, which we found among those offered by The Fork while we were in the Lagonegro area. Excellent, fresh dishes and excellent quality. Those who book through The Fork must request the discount multiple times before it is applied, and there are some variations in dishes between The Fork and the restaurant menus, likely due to seasonal variations, but the restaurant is excellent. Honest review.

14/08/2025: The pasta with cruschi peppers and sausage was a standout. The appetizer and grilled meat don't even get one star.

10/09/2025: I had a sandwich, and the bread was industrial. Given the location, I would have expected something made with artisanal bread. The service was slow.

08/09/2025: When paying, they only give you a bill for the total amount, without itemizing the items. The amount seemed suspicious to me, so I asked for a breakdown. It was provided to me, but each item was only listed as a drink/food. With four people, it's hard to check. Still, I found it suspicious and asked for a check. Mistakes can happen, no problem. But the owner immediately raised her voice at me and made me look like an annoying tourist in front of the whole restaurant. Incredibly arrogant. I still asked for an explanation, and I had to listen to unbelievable things before another colleague got involved. She acknowledged the mistake, apologized, and refunded the difference. Even so, the prices are listed inaccurately (e.g., we paid €4 for a hot dog, but the price on the menu is different). A trap for tourists. Avoid and don't go there!

22/08/2025: Great place! The food is really good, and the excellent plating makes the experience even better! I had a truly delicious caprese... Not to mention the pizza, one of the best in Potenza. The service was impeccable: the waiters were professional and attentive to the customers' needs, truly excellent! The atmosphere is charming and well-kept. There's also a very comfortable outdoor space.

22/07/2025: It deserves the highest rating. Friendliness, professionalism, and kindness are something else entirely. I highly recommend it.
