08/07/2026: We had a wonderful meal, an exceptional platter with homemade cheeses, and perfect service!!! Two young people run this restaurant, and they also sell local products. The wine selection is exceptional. We ordered a platter and soups. Authentic flavors of a region they help promote with great love for the ingredients. We'll definitely be back! And then there's the priceless view of the Lucanian Dolomites!
08/07/2026: Peperusko is much more than a restaurant🫶 it's a place where you can truly feel the passion behind every detail. The two brothers who run it are incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely talented. You can immediately see that they have an exceptional eye for beauty and quality.
Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, with each ingredient carefully selected 👌🏻 Nothing feels random; every element on the plate has its purpose. It was an absolute pleasure to eat here, and you can tell that they cook with both skill and heart.
A special mention for the atmosphere as well it perfectly reflects their great taste and attention to detail.
And one last tip: don't leave without asking them to show you their drone footage of the surrounding region. It's absolutely breathtaking and made us appreciate the beauty of the area even more.

28/05/2026: We felt right at home... We were incredibly late for a very long bike ride that had been miscalculated. They were super kind and professional, understanding and receptive, and always very polite and courteous. We ate wonderfully, and above all, the food was truly local. I can only express our utmost gratitude and satisfaction!!!! Well done 👏🏻

07/05/2026: Excellent pizza, and the owner and staff were friendly. The place was clean and well-kept! I highly recommend it!
23/04/2026: It was the only place open at night, yet we have been greeted politely by the owners, received excellent service to be seated in the room across the path. Any item we ordered was served pretty quickly and we didn't expect how good it was. Pizza was really delicious, think crust. Fresh ingredients, lovely mozzarella. Thumbs up 👍👍

27/06/2026: A trattoria where you can enjoy local Lucanian cuisine.
A normal atmosphere.
The food is good.
One of the two nights we dined there, they forgot our outdoor reservation. They apologized and brought us bruschetta for the inconvenience.
26/06/2026: Excellent welcome. Quaint. Homely. The only flaw... I'd add a little veal and lamb to the mixed meats, rather than just all pork.

For breakfast or a coffee throughout the day to get you through aperitivo (the Verbo they recommended was excellent).
But here, the real difference is the courtesy and extreme friendliness!!!
You can't help but fall in love with this charming little bar and its people.
You made our holiday in Castelmezzano unforgettable thanks to you, the charm of Castelmezzano, and the innate friendliness of its inhabitants.

28/05/2026: A small café where you can enjoy a good coffee and admire the views of the Lucanian Dolomites. The bar is stocked with a wide variety of spirits, and you can also enjoy delicious croissants and a good breakfast. Prices are moderate, and the staff is helpful and friendly. There's also a small, elevated room accessed by a staircase, and a smaller room with comfortable seating where you can relax or read a book.

17/05/2026: I can't comment on the food, but I have practically zero tact regarding the hospitality and the ability to resolve a problem. A customer who travels 100 km to see you shouldn't be turned away just because he asks for an hour's early lunch. Or rather, there are ways and means. You could have tried to find a solution. You're obviously quite full. Enjoy your life.
03/05/2026: Located in a stunning location, that's all that's good, though.
The staff is haughty and not at all courteous; the girls are improvised (definitely not trained) because they have no idea what it means to serve a customer.
They don't allow dogs (in 2026, I think everyone knows that dogs are considered family members and more polite than certain humans).
Food: Again, nothing special; in fact, you can eat better at some local trattorias.
We ate meager portions of both first and second courses.
But the highlight was the pasta on a cream (broth) of legumes and the artichoke literally boiled with a quenelle of ricotta, which, I mean, isn't haute cuisine.
The meat was incredibly tough; the other first course called for hazelnuts, but only molecules of the latter were found.
Strascinati: ugh... here, an annoying cream cheese, who knows who combined it with the other ingredients?
Bread is only available upon request.
They know how to set the prices right.

20/07/2025: Dopo la passeggiata dei sette sassi da spadino si recupera tutte le calorie perse nella passeggiata 😁😁😁😁.. tutto buonissimo ma quello che mi è rimasto nel cuore sono le patate arreganate che la chef mi ha gentilmente spiegato come le condiva....unici tutto il personale
03/07/2025: Tutto fantastico! Menù semplice, con prodotti tipici e dal sapore fantastico! Antipasto, ordinato per una persona, ci abbiamo mangiato tranquillamente in 2. Il ragù alla salsiccia pezzente che condiva il primo era saporitissimo. E la cottura della carne che abbiamo preso come secondo era azzeccatissima, e soprattutto la carne era di ottima qualità. Anche il servizio è stato molto attento e gentile.
