11/11/2025: Exceeded all expectations! The cuisine is elaborate, yet unpretentious. The highlight is the chef's skill in harmonizing the ingredients used, all of which are of evident quality and freshness. Kudos to the chef and the entire team, efficient and friendly. Considering the quality, the value for money is also excellent. We'll definitely return and recommend it.

02/11/2025: 🗓️Last ​​weekend in Basilicata, we had dinner at the "Sotto la Torre" restaurant in Satriano di Lucania. 🤵‍♂️The hospitality and skill of the staff, both in serving and explaining the dishes served—all expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and with balanced flavors—made it a pleasant discovery. I think it deserves greater recognition, not only from locals but also from tourists like us. And why not, in my opinion, it also deserves some recognition. 🏆 Here's what we were delighted with. Welcome aperitif: Peperone crusco with ricotta mousse and duck speck. Paired with: Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. And from their bread: Peperone crusco, Sesame white bread, Turmeric and Ferrandina olives, Cuttlefish ink. Cuttlefish egg in a crust of its ink on a potato mousse, stracciatella, Stigliano pistachio, and a dusting of beetroot. Dry-marinated salmon with: Zucchini with mint, passion fruit dressing. Accompanied by: Watermelon sgroppino. Podolica beef tartare with: tuna sauce, almonds, capers, and balsamic vinegar. Slow-cooked egg on a cheese fondue, savory crumble, truffle, and cardoncelli mushrooms from the Lucanian mountains. Saffron Carnaroli rice with: Red shrimp tartare, buffalo mozzarella sauce, raspberry caviar, and parsley powder. Double-cooked octopus on a roasted pepper sauce, purple potato mousse, and sweet and sour Tropea onion. All accompanied by Verbo Bianco, from the cellars of Venosa. 2024 Small pastries with: Melon sphere, Pineapple, Carrot mousse, Creamy ricotta and mango. And to finish, Cheesecake mousse with berries. 🧳 If you're near Satriano di Lucania, you can't miss it. 😋 You won't regret it. 🤩

02/11/2025: Very good pizza, the dough is not among my favorites but abundant toppings well cooked very tasty, the comfortable room but in my opinion the spotlights are too strong and cold light given the place, a more relaxing light would be needed, the impeccable service, kindness and availability are top as are the prices four pizzas for three two beers and a bottle of water € 41 it also took 1 euro off us we had a great time the place is enchanting it really looks like a nativity scene we will be back Thank you!!

28/08/2025: We went to Iris on a trip to the Anzi observatory. The staff made us feel welcome and served us drinks before opening time so that we were comfortable. Food was great. Highly recommend if you are heading up to the observatory to stop here for a bite first.

20/08/2025: Diner was good. Everything was delicous. But the biscotti they also sell in various flavours were the best I ever had! I kid you not!

01/11/2025: Horrible place with horrible customer service. Walked in with my pregnant fiancé after a long day driving the place was completely empty besides 1 table and they wouldn’t let us sit we even offered to go outside and they still wouldn’t take us. Extremely horrible people running this place I wouldn’t recommend for a second. In response to below - the whole restaurant was empty besides 1 table of 2 people. We would’ve gladly sat outside and eaten but you did not want our business. Horrible service. I worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and would never have treated a customer this way.

10/12/2025: Entering the restaurant immediately takes you into a different dimension. The atmosphere is warm. The walls are adorned with photos and trophies, testaments to Mimmo's admirable achievements in his dual role as host and cyclist. The staff is friendly and the service is impeccable; Mimmo himself greets you at your table, eager to engage in conversation. The food is good quality and well-cooked, easily digestible. Definitely a pleasant stop in the city.

08/12/2025: If you're passing through that side of the park, you can't miss this very typical osteria. You need to call to reserve, but once you get a table, you enter the owner's home, a very kind elderly woman who prepares countless exquisite cod dishes. The service and atmosphere are quite basic, but these aspects can easily be overlooked. The generous appetizers will fill you up. Excellent value.
