11/05/2025: A stone's throw from the center and the pedestrian area, the restaurant has a characteristic atmosphere, with stone walls and arches inserted in a modern environment with an exposed pizza oven. The menu is extensive, with local dishes well reinterpreted in a creative way. The baked bread is exceptional, the fried cod in tempura with crusco pepper and caramelized onions, the broad beans and chicory and the breaded chicken thigh with side dish are excellent. The pizza is of a good standard, offered in many interesting variations.
The panna cotta was good, but the tiramisu was sublime, even with the chocolate flakes in the cream, one of the best I've ever eaten.
The venue has only one room; it is advisable to book. Fast and precise service; for starter, first (or second) dessert and drinks (wine and beer), €25.

05/05/2025: Posto da visitare, tutto quello che c'è da uno antipasto centrale oppure carne grigliata, pasta, risotto, patate al forno, verdure grigliata, tutto e buonissimo.
Attenzione dei lavoratori veloce, cortese ed amabili.
Io provo ad arrivare ogni 1 - 2 settimane per pranzo.
Dovete prenotare, quasi sempre e pieno, io vi consiglio questo..... Se volete assaggiare una vera cucina, andate a mangiare in questo posto.
03/05/2025: Awsome, fullly recommended. The waiters didnt spoke a word on english, but they made sure we understand eachother with translate.
We had appitizer and first dish, and we ware full. The dishes are big and tasty.
On top of that excellent bottle of white wine for 10 eur.

03/05/2025: During my recent trip to Potenza I had the pleasure of dining at Crusco's, a true temple of Lucanian cuisine. The experience was exceptional from every point of view. The warm and refined atmosphere of the place immediately put me at ease, but it was the food that completely stole the show. I tasted a series of typical Lucanian dishes, prepared with genuine ingredients and great attention to tradition. The real protagonist of the evening was the gold of Senise - the famous Cruschi peppers - crunchy, tasty and used creatively in several courses. The staff were friendly and helpful, ready to tell the story behind each dish. I recommend it to anyone who wants to live a gastronomic experience linked to the territory, between intense flavors and sincere hospitality.
I will definitely be back!

08/04/2025: Let me start by saying that I gave 5 stars because more cannot be given and any comment from me would be superfluous. We went for lunch and chose the "dialect" tasting menu, a true delicacy, each dish paired with local products; unique and different dishes from the usual. The owner who is also the chef is an extraordinary person, as well as being a good Chef he is very cultured. He explained the contents and its history to us dish by dish, even going as far as the history of the peoples who preceded us and who brought cultures and customs to our territories. It was a pleasure to listen to Mr.'s stories. Federico inherent to his dishes and the territory, his ideas, we need more people like Mr. Federico. I remember his words "ours is a fantastic territory full of raw materials, we just need to know how to exploit them".
Furthermore, from the restaurant you can admire the peaks of the Pollino, today they were also whitewashed and when observing them you could smell the oak wood burning in the fireplaces. I highly recommend trying this experience.

La Baita is a welcoming, warm and perfect structure for those seeking relaxation and authenticity. The family atmosphere is perceived from the first moment, also thanks to the kindness and helpfulness of the managers.
But the real strong point are the dishes, prepared with love and skill according to local tradition. The portions are generous and the flavor takes you back in time, like a Sunday family lunch. From cured meats to cheeses, through homemade pasta and local meats, each dish is a genuine and satisfying experience.
A place where you feel at home, surrounded by the beauty of the landscape and the scents of authentic cuisine.
Highly recommended for those looking for real flavors and a regenerating break.
To return, without a doubt.
