I ended up here by chance and thought the food was great. A menu for €30 including 1/2 liter of wine and water. Everything was good. Can recommend the restaurant. However, you should be hungry.

Prepared with love as well as great skill! Of those who believe in their work and do it with passion and commitment! Who truly puts their soul into it! Flavors that are now rare, unobtainable! But what Sisina manages to harness in those delicious and genuine dishes! Very famous and particular but I didn't like the obligation to eat what the cook proposed. I prefer to choose not only how much but also what to eat. The service is excellent and the value for money is good

Excellent structure, excellent food with typical local dishes and excellent hospitality in a delightful town in the Lucanian hinterland, Aliano where Carlo Levi lived.

Così come dal titolo della recensione, mangiare dalla signora Sisina, significa percorrere un tratto della cucina lucana. Tutto molto buono e genuino. Che dire .. complimenti.

I was born in Aliano, I live in Rome but since I still have my paternal/maternal home here I return every 40/50 days together with a fellow villager of mine who also resides in Rome. We meet up with some childhood friends and often meet up with "Sisina the peasant" and her spouse with whom we have known each other since we were born. This review may also be biased (I confess). But I can assure you that you will find the best, nothing but 5 stars!!! You can't put more! Flavors of the past guaranteed!!!! Exceptional hospitality... Sisina also participated in the "proof of the cook" - Antonella Clerici's broadcast. All you have to do is come to Aliano (Gagliano for Carlo Levi in ​​his "CHRIST STOPPED AT EBOLI").

Il posto si trova in centro Aliano. Per noi è stato un'esperienza un po' inaspettata. Dopo aver fatto un giro nel paese volevamo mangiare un piatto di pasta, non avevamo tanta fame. Il proprietario ci ha portato personalmente al suo ristorante, dopo che lo avevamo incontrato casualmente per strada, e abbiamo pensato fosse una bella coincidenza. Non ci ha detto fino a inizio pranzo che la proposta unica è menu fisso di 30 euro ( tra le altre cose, a dirla tutta la recensione di una settimana fa diceva 25 euro). I piatti sono buoni e sicuramente se avete tanta fame è molto soddisfacente. Pero noi non avevamo molta fame, abbiamo mangiato antipasti e un primo diviso in due e comunque ci ha fatto pagare 25 euro, dicendo che le spese per mantenere il locale sono tante.
