27/12/2025: We came to visit Matera and were looking for a place to stop for lunch. We couldn't have chosen a better place; we opted for seafood. They were truly excellent. The quality-price ratio is unbeatable. Highly recommended.
25/11/2025: Today at lunch, I saw all the positive reviews that inspired me to try this restaurant. I can say that the quality of the ingredients and the preparation are truly excellent. We had two portions of cardoon pie, one parmigiana, and one fried artichoke, along with three bottles of water for €24. The dining room is welcoming and clean. You can use the restroom. Highly recommended.

16/11/2025: I ended up here by accident, and I don't regret it. The service was very friendly and customer-oriented. The Black Angus was deliciously prepared and well-served. It's a short walk from the highway rest stop. I'll definitely be back if I have the chance.

19/01/2026: We were there for a birthday celebration. They have wonderful dishes for fish lovers. Even for those who don't prefer fish, their menu is excellent. We really enjoyed it. The waiters and all the staff are friendly. Thank you so much!
11/12/2025: Beautiful venue, excellent service, good food, and well-cooked dishes. The reinterpretation of traditional classics is noteworthy. I'd recommend a staircase with a handrail that allows access from the street above, and a little more detail on the individual dishes on the menu (not all of us are from Giarrossa or Luponio 😂).
I'll definitely be back.

22/01/2026: Super quaint, with truly exquisite dishes. The service was impeccable, and we felt pampered from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to sample Matera's traditional dishes in a unique and refined restaurant. We shared delicious first courses such as orecchiette and paccheri with cod, and sampled the traditional crapiata and pignata with mutton. The cured meats were also excellent, as were the wine and desserts. The restaurant also has a cinema room with beautiful historical images of the city.

06/01/2026: Spurred by the good reviews and confident that wherever you go in Matera you'll eat well, we dined at Annina 1937.
I think the kitchen needs some work. You can't call a batter wrapped around cod tempura, which should be crispy, not soggy.
I hate overcooked pasta, and messing up a simple dish with two ingredients is difficult. I paid without batting an eyelid; I wasn't asked if I had a good meal. I would have said, "Absolutely not."
It's a shame, the place is beautiful, and the girl in the dining room is kind.
