09/05/2025: We went on a trip out of town with the family... a place surrounded by greenery a few km from Guardia Perticara, as soon as we arrived a girl welcomed us with a beautiful smile and we immediately felt at home... a delicious appetizer that immediately filled us up so much that we couldn't finish the very good first courses, the gem was that they made my girls feel really at home by allowing them to say hello to the chef in the kitchen... in fact here I asked my daughter what was the best thing about the trip day he replied "the best thing was that the girl took me into the kitchen behind the counter and behind the cash register" just for this thank you very much We will return to taste the second courses 😁

09/06/2025: Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante perché consigliato dal nostro B&B, il personale è stato gentilissimo ed il locale è carino con terrazza vista mare, peccato per il pesce fritto, l antipasto è stato buono ma il fritto di calamari e di acciughe sembrava bollito, molto mollo non croccante. È veramente stato deludente. Per il resto ci siamo trovati bene.

La selezione è vasta e i proprietari sono esperti e passionali. Ma ciò che rende questo posto veramente speciale sono i proprietari stessi: gentili, accoglienti e con un gusto impeccabile nell'arredo. L'atmosfera è piccola e dunque calda e invitante, perfetta per una serata speciale o semplicemente per godersi una cena. È un'esperienza che vi lascerà con il sorriso e la voglia di tornare presto. Cinque stelle senza dubbio!

05/06/2025: We found it by chance and we couldn’t be more lucky. A traditional more than 20m deep cave turned into the paradise of dining. The atmosphere is charmingly sophisticated, yet simple. The food is traditional with a sleight of innovation: we had pane cencio, pure of fave and cicoria, pasta with baccalà and fericelli al ragù di pezzente, tiramisù and a stunning icecream with almonds wild finocchietto and fugues. Finishing touch the liquor of Paolo, the most welcoming and jovial waiter we have met. Hospitality makes you feel at home naturally (not the fake American way). We ended the evening in the small cinema room at the bottom, watching little fragments of movies shot in Matera in the course of the years: mementos of how much has stayed intact while restoring this invaluable place. An absolute value for the money. A must go.

26/05/2025: Unfriendly waiter, the pasta was still raw, had to send it back twice but it stayed raw. The waiter who apologized for the pasta was friendly. Luckily we didn't have to pay for the pasta.
