A very pleasant spot, perfect for observing the street scene from the terrace. The service was very professional; Pablo, in particular, provided excellent service. The food is very good, and they have delicious local dishes.

The food is good, the place is traditional, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the prices are moderately high. A very beautiful, unique location, with a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. Recommended!

It's a top rating; everything was perfect. The staff was courteous and helpful, the food was flavorful and faithful to Lucanian tradition. I was very impressed by the location, created by joining three 600-year-old cisterns and revitalized through a restoration and redevelopment project by the Belgian architecture firm Architecten De Vylder Vinck, as the owner explained.
The price was a bit high, but since I was very hungry, I found the prices generally in line with restaurants throughout Italy.

We ordered two pasta dishes: pork rolls and a chicken set for the child. One pasta dish with salmon was delicious, but the pork and the other pasta were unremarkable. The flavor was okay at best, and the portions were small. For the price of €20 per dish, I wouldn't recommend it.
On the plus side, the location and the very knowledgeable and friendly service.

Entering this restaurant is like stepping into another era, into an atmosphere so magical and captivating that you gently lose track of time. Dining inside an ancient cistern in the Sassi is an experience that fills your eyes with wonder, but it's the cuisine that steals your heart: the flavors and tastes of the dishes were simply excellent. A huge thank you to all the staff, not only incredibly competent and knowledgeable, but also capable of making you feel truly welcomed and pampered throughout the dinner. It was an unforgettable evening in Matera, one of those special places that stays with you and where, without a doubt, I would return with my eyes closed!
