This place is definitely one of the best places to have focaccia in Matera! There’s not much seating inside, but if you’re lucky, you might get a spot.

Discovered by chance....super friendly, welcoming, and always smiling staff. Exquisite artisanal specialties at a great price. Impeccably clean. I recommend going to this bakery rather than spending triple the price on processed food on the main street. Greetings from Tropea

Everything you eat there is delicious. And the staff is very kind.

We stopped by for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the variety and authenticity of both sweet and savory products. We ordered delicious freshly filled croissants and a loaf of Matera bread to take away. The baker was very kind, explaining the history of bread and how to best preserve it. Just a stone's throw from the historic center, I recommend a visit for a taste of authenticity from times gone by, different from the touristy bakeries found downtown.

Excellent bakery in Matera, also open on Sundays. Very welcoming staff and delicious products. We tried the bread and the "scorsette materane" (a real treat, especially the orange one). Highly recommended!
