08/08/2025: - Service: Self-service, with plastic cutlery and food served in traditional poke bowls. The waiter at the entrance explains the service and gives you menus, then you can sit wherever you like. There's a device at the table that, once you've ordered (return to the waiter at the counter), lets you know when your food is ready. Overall, the service was fairly quick and the waiter was very friendly. - Cuisine: The restaurant offers a variety of local dishes at reasonable prices but of good quality. For our appetizer, we tried the "cialledda" from Matera, a bread-based dish topped with tomato sauce, cucumber, tomatoes, and basil; it was very refreshing on the hot day. For our first course, we tried the orecchiette with turnip tops and crusco peppers (€9) and the cavatelli with pezzente sausage and cardoncelli mushrooms (€9), both of which were very popular, but I especially enjoyed the mushrooms in the second course. Finally, for dessert, we had "sporcamuss," a delicate yet crunchy puff pastry with custard. - Atmosphere: Quiet, quite cool, and informal. - Venue: Very simple, yet characteristic. Entirely carved out of stone, with typical cave decorations and ornaments scattered throughout. There are about twenty tables, but only inside. - Location: Sasso Caveoso, a short walk from many attractions and panoramic bridges, such as the Pascoli lookout. - Opinion: The quality of the food, the reasonable price, and above all, the availability of tables without waiting are definitely the restaurant's strong points.

03/08/2025: Ovviamente la lication è molto bella, ma offrono cibo di qualità e servizio veloce, anche se non hanno il servizio al tavolo per ora. Tutto davvero buono: antipasto prodotti tipici, tagliata, salsiccia, patata al forno, vino rosso locale. Molto disponile e gentile il personale. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

07/07/2025: Best place in all of Matera for an excellent vegan breakfast/snack. Various options including croissants to be filled on the spot, braids with jam and walnuts, tiles with chocolate cream, all produced on site. Excellent coffee and cappuccino with vegetable drink. My favorite place for a sweet break. The owners are always kind and polite. Something not to be taken for granted. I highly recommend.

07/07/2025: On the occasion of a weekend in Melfi for two consecutive days we preferred to dine at Mario. Excellent crispy pizza with a particularly good flavor, very kind staff reasonable price. What can I say I recommend you try it to believe it. Good pizza to everyone.

06/07/2025: One of the best dining experiences we have had. All aspects 5 star. Food, innovative, delicate, delicious, outstanding. Ambience/atmosphere, perfect. Wine list, exceptional. Service, perfect. We spent a lot on wine, but, one good bottle of wine and two courses for two would cost about 250 euros- worth it

28/06/2025: Food was ok but for a “nice restaurant” not worth the price. Service was lovely. We were sat outside as the restaurant was booked out - we inquired a week prior to book and was already this way apparently. The whole dinner felt a bit drawn out. I got bitten by mosquitoes.

26/06/2025: A small, unassuming, no-nonsense neighborhood restaurant where you can eat excellent pizzas. They're good-sized (the regular one is sufficient), plentiful, and the price is more than affordable, at around €7 per pizza. A thoughtful touch at the end of the meal: a small glass of homemade cherry and a small treat. The owners are attentive, as is the little waitress. What we also appreciated was that they allowed us to be served after 10:30 p.m.

08/08/2025: Amazing food, very affordable prices. There were four of us; we each had an appetizer, a first course, and a second course, followed by dessert and three coffees. Wine and plenty of water were also included. In total, we spent €132.50. Highly recommended.

30/07/2025: Unfortunately, we often return to places where we actually think we've found healthy, excellent cuisine, not crafty, but made with farmer's products (this is Agriturismo). That's not the case!! Many products are frozen and preserved (maybe it's necessary? I don't know). I've visited the place several times, but it's difficult to maintain the values of the first few times. I read reviews of excellent places, but I think after so many years of traveling, so many restaurants, so much culture of excellent and healthy food, maybe I'm too picky, or maybe I'm just a crafty person who thinks the customer doesn't understand, or doesn't know enough about food to distinguish it from frozen, or industrially produced, etc. That's a good thing.!! So we need to remember that AGRITURISMO means healthy, ancient cuisine and local flavors.

06/04/2025: THE artists' den..... the fruit of the "SICK" fantasy of the owner (her words 😱), the name comes from the mix of the myth of the brigands and the artist of the house... the PIZZA MAKER. This place immersed in the splendid town of Rapolla (and not RAPALLO) is a place really worth trying, the imagination in the pizzas is dictated by the PARTICULARITY of their owners... UNIQUE doughs ✅
