15/12/2025: A small and nice place in the historic center of Pomarico (Matera), quality and price go hand in hand, the pizza is delicious, even the sweet one with Nutella is exceptional, then in addition to pizza, there are sandwiches and other alternatives for all tastes, even the desserts are good, they are from a pastry shop in the same town, go there!

30/12/2025: I went to D-Food in Lavello and I have to say it was an incredible experience. I tried the Murtadell burgers and also the Mac N'sacc: truly 10/10. The meat and flavors were super balanced, everything was perfectly made, and the quality was evident at first bite. The fries were also really, really good: crispy, flavorful, and perfect with the burgers. I'm from Germany, and honestly, there are very few burger shops that can match this level. Everything was truly super, super, super delicious. I'll definitely be back—highly recommended!

04/04/2026: As a true Bari native who has stayed in Lagopesole, I can honestly say that "Lo Sfizio" is better than a Michelin-starred restaurant. Absolutely 5 stars!

01/04/2026: We were greeted very kindly by the owner, who recommended local dishes and answered our questions. The peperoni cruschi were perfectly crunchy, and the pasta was delicious. Excellent value. The restaurant is part of one of the "American houses" described by Carlo Levi and is adorned with horned masks and other references to local culture. 06/06/2025: Very nice restaurant with good food and very friendly service. A very warm welcome from the kitchen, good Prosecco, and a fantastic dessert (caramel cocoa tart)! We'd be happy to go back! The waiter made a real effort to speak Italian slowly, so we were able to understand him well despite our holiday Italian. So much more pleasant than being spoken to in English despite having limited Italian skills :)

01/06/2026: Proprietary craft brewery in the center of Matera, managed directly by the brewery, the place is very nice and has an outdoor terrace. The guys are all kind and attentive to the needs of the customers, we tried the Belgian strong ale and it won us over, due to various commitments we were unable to try the cuisine, but chef Matteo, also in his role as publican, will be able to advise you best, next time we will try his creations; there was also a refrigerator with their beers available at the time; two pieces of advice: If possible, try to guarantee more or less the entire line for takeaway (I understand that it's not easy, but the potential is there). Then, if you can, open a little earlier, we are fighting everywhere to guarantee excellent drinks even in the mid-afternoon, where possible. Highly recommended.

31/05/2026: I visited Birrificio 79 in Matera and had a truly wonderful experience. The craft beer is excellent, fresh, and flavorful, with a variety of styles to suit every taste. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, perfect for an evening with friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this place to anyone who loves good beer! 🍺

11/06/2026: If there's a place where good humor rises along with the dough, it's this out-of-this-world pizzeria, capable of catapulting you into orbit with the first bite. Phenomenal appetizers: bruschetta that smells of heaven, pettole as light as cosmic clouds. Excellent wine, quality perceived throughout, from the welcome to the coffee, super-clean bathrooms. From what I understand, this place is a must-try for the people of Matera because it was packed, yet we were very comfortable and received kind and efficient service.

30/05/2026: Never again... sky-high prices.... 2 very simple pizzas, 2 medium-sized, poor-quality pizzas... the lady at the cashier looked like she was three million euros in debt... all for only €42.50... we're exaggerating a bit!!!!

09/10/2025: An excellent lunch with genuine, homemade ingredients, delicious handmade pasta and sautéed country vegetables... a quiet atmosphere, perfect service, and a warm and friendly welcome.

20/08/2025: I've been to this restaurant and I must say it was a truly pleasant experience. The welcome was warm and professional, the atmosphere elegant and comfortable, perfect for a dinner as a couple or with friends. The dishes were prepared with great attention to the quality of the ingredients and presentation: each course was tasty, balanced, and beautifully served. The friendly and helpful staff made everything even more enjoyable, attentive without ever being intrusive. Excellent value for money. A place definitely worth trying, and one I'll gladly return to!

06/05/2026: All in all, a nice place... we happened to be passing through and decided to stop. Honestly, we thought we'd spend a little less, considering we're in the middle of Basilicata and the trattorias and agriturismi here are cheap and the food is good. But all in all, the food was good, so it's fine.

03/05/2026: Excellent experience at this agriturismo and farm. Very helpful staff, authentic and tasty food: the veal and cooked vegetables were delicious, as was the pasta. The price was more than fair for the amount of food. We'll definitely be back! MARIN
