The pizzas are excellent, and the prices are in line with those in the central area of Matera (generally high, check the menu). This is justified by the variety and quality of the food, the location, and the atmosphere. The location is central, so in the evening after dinner, you can enjoy a stroll through the historic center to digest your meal. Reservations are generally required, or you should arrive early for dinner.

I ordered a pizza with a contemporary dough, meaning a high, well-risen crust... Dear pizza chef, using an electric oven will always result in a raw crust, lacking the air bubbles so often praised on the menu. It cost over €13, and it's nothing like Vincenzo Capuano's Neapolitan pizza.

The food was really delicious but we did a reservation for 8 people and we get a table for 6 and had to squeeze us to fit there. For one pizza we replaced the ham with zucchini and get a surcharge of 2 € for that???
One of us eats glutenfree. He ordered Fries and was charged +2€. So he payed 8€ for Fries.
So the Food was good but the experience was not.

The restaurant is located in a pedestrian area in Matera, with parking available nearby. Filomena (the owner), her husband, and the team at the tables are very good. Cleanliness, quality, and quantity are excellent. Fair prices.

Excellent pizza. Different dough choices, from thinner to Neapolitan-style crusts. Many flavors on the menu. Gluten-free pizzas available.
The small but cozy interior features high-backed sofas that make for a more private dinner.
Friendly and fast service. Very welcoming.
