05/08/2025: We discovered this place by chance, and I was very pleased. We ordered many dishes, all of which were delicious. The pizza was excellent, the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came in generous portions at a great price. Their traditional pasta dish with cruschi and fried breadcrumbs was also delicious, the pasta and beans were special, and the fried fish was excellent. Special praise goes to the grilled ring I had; perfect is the only word I can give. The price was also reasonable for the quality of the ingredients. Special thanks to Rocco, the waiter who served us, always quick, kind, and smiling, something that is no longer a given. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back.

12/07/2025: Trattoria storia di Matera a un passo dal centro e dai Sassi. Ambiente ampio, familiare e accogliente. Personale gentile e molto attento. Piatti della cucina locale ottimi, molto curati in ogni dettaglio e abbondanti. Siamo stati veramente bene. Ristorante molto consigliato!!!

04/07/2025: Buona trattoria tradizionale. Probabilmente per forestieri ma non turistica vista la grande presenza di piatti tradizionali e anzi arcaici. Tenete presente che non si può prenotare quindi andate sul presto perché è un posto conosciuto. Ben presentato e buono il cibo. Scenografici e buoni i dessert. Servizio cortese e simpatico. Personalmente non gradisco che funghi e salsiccia vengano accompagnati dal pomodoro ma si tratta di gusti e la pasta nel complesso non era cattiva ma piuttosto non si sentiva il sapore di funghi e salsiccia. Prezzi un po’ alti ma siamo a Matera e se dovessi ripassare da quelle parti tornerei

13/07/2025: We stayed for a week in July at an excellent property surrounded by greenery, impeccably managed by the owners, and with an excellent restaurant serving delicious food. The property is located near the sea and a good base for visiting the beautiful surrounding towns.

12/05/2025: Un posto meraviglioso, immerso nella natura, pulito, con tutti confort e gli spazi per far giocare i bambini. La gestione familiare ci ha permesso di vivere in serenità il weekend, soddisfando qualsiasi nostra necessità. Colazione e soprattutto cene ottime, con materie prime scelte e a km zero. Cucina casereccia e molto saporita. Ci siamo stati per poter visitare Basilicata Alpaca. Straconsigliato.

18/02/2025: I was there last Sunday. Andrea immediately put us at ease and we let him advise us. Appetizers by the mile. 0 superlatives, fusilli with crusco pepper and caciocavallo pouring, sliced, melting in the mouth and sweet with a chocolate centre. A nice experience. I recommend it to you.

17/04/2025: A small pastry shop with great potential: Everything is handmade from the small pastries to the croissants, and above all to the fantastic cakes made with love and creativity, and this is what makes the difference. A few steps from the historic center of Matera, when you enter you are surrounded by tranquility and the welcome of the girls with a smile, that moment of a tasty croissant makes you feel good, and you feel the aroma of a good coffee while sitting at that small table looking out at the city traffic, it feels like being in Paris for a moment, magic takes you everywhere with the right person. Excellent service, courtesy and above all hearing "Good morning, what do you want" is the simplest thing you want to hear. Finally, while waiting you can admire small handcrafted objects that change depending on the season, unique pieces that you can buy if you want and take with you, placing it at home, perhaps in the living room, to display, you can remember that moment and perhaps return again and replicate a new experience of a sweet taste. 09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!
