28/08/2024: I can’t remember the last time I was sad that a meal had finished, the food was that good! The restaurant has a wonderful setting covered in vintage tourism posters from all over the world, and as you walk down the stairs you walk past the open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work. The atmosphere is calm and even with a full restaurant it wasn’t loud. The service was impeccable, with the waiting staff on hand to help with menu recommendations and the appropriate wine to complement your dish choices. We went for three pasta dishes, the spinach gnocchi with sage and butter, the cannelloni ‘buca lapi’, and the fettuccine with veal ragu. They were all spectacular with the veal fettuccine the stand out dish for me. The menu offers a variety of Tuscan and Florentine dishes so what ever you choose you’re in for a great experience! Highly recommend!

22/08/2024: Siamo stati con tutta la famiglia a cena in questo ristorante suggeritoci dalla guida. E non potevamo trovare di meglio! I Primi sono ottimi, ma la carne davvero eccezionale. Unica pecca poca scelta per gli antipasti. Anche se quei pochi disponibili sono di buona qualità. Ci hanno suggerito un ottimo vino, servizio perfetto e cameriere gentile e simpatico! Ci tornerò sicuramente!

14/12/2024: Good morning. For years when we are in the area with the camper we always stop here with this nice family who runs the restaurant. I must say that here you can eat very well, particularly with Tuscan cuisine. We are in the VAL DI CHIANA, from which the famous CHIANINA comes. Last night Mara and I had dinner with 2 wonderful Florentine steaks paired with green beans and green beans all'uccelletto while drinking an excellent house red. I chose a dessert that approached the mouth on its own due to how delicious it was: grandmother's dessert. Fair spending, not exaggerated. 26/10/2024: I'm sorry dear Mr. Angelo, but this time it was a real disappointment... I have come several times during my holidays on Elba for 15 years now, on the evening of August 15th, 5 of us spent 330.00 euros for three VEGETABLE appetizers, two slices, a squid, two fish (almost 140.00 euros for them alone...) a bottle of "cheaper" wine and four coffees... a real exaggeration, surely there are much more expensive locations suggestive, on the sea, with excellent cuisine and lower prices... it pains me to say it but it was my last time at Pilade. Good continuation.

27/08/2024: Overall the food wasn't bad, but unfortunately the prices were ridiculously high for the raw materials used which, although of high quality, still remained extremely low cost ingredients (a puff pastry with cheese inside was €14), the service however waiter was friendly and was extremely slow with the first dish arriving an hour and fifteen minutes after our order. I wouldn't go back.

12/08/2024: Bad experience. I don't usually leave reviews, but this time I really have to. Unfortunately the food is really bad, the service perhaps even worse. They served us the pulled pork heated in the microwave but the worst thing was that it smelled more than bad and tasted even worse. We ate on benches at obscene wooden tables. We spent 30 euros each and they had the courage to charge us a cover charge for plastic plates, paper tablecloths, sitting on benches and at tables usually used at village festivals or in low-class canteens. I'm sure I've never eaten so bad in my entire life. Absolutely avoid.

03/12/2024: I was wondering why Italian shake hand with their own gesture when they eat delicious food. Today I got to know the reason it's just "natural phenomena" that god intended human being should do when they taste heavenly delicious food. Pizza and Pasta is the best taste in Firenze. Mamamia!

24/08/2024: Perfect experience! Excellent food accompanied by a selection of high quality wines. The place is taken care of down to the smallest details starting from the mise en place. Friendly and attentive staff, always ready to follow the customer course after course. If you are not a meat expert or don't know what to choose, they will be able to recommend the perfect dish according to your tastes and needs. A place that conquers not only for the location and the details, but above all for the excellent quality of the raw materials which give life to excellent, innovative dishes with a unique flavour.

23/08/2024: I was quite disappointed with my fire experience at the tower that I had heard so much about. As soon as the Florentine was brought to me, I was immediately struck by its impeccable presentation. However, once I started cutting and tasting it, I noticed that the meat wasn't up to par with the cost I paid. The taste of the Florentine was discreet, but I wasn't particularly impressed. What really disappointed me was the texture of the meat, which proved difficult to chew due to too many ribs. I found it difficult to fully enjoy it due to this inconvenience. I cannot deny that the service and atmosphere of the restaurant were good, but in the end, for me, the food is always the focal point of a restaurant dinner and unfortunately in this case it did not live up to expectations, also not giving importance to my comment. I hope that the restaurant can improve the quality of the meat offered to its customers in the future or that we at least do something to accommodate a dissatisfied customer.
