24/12/2023: Make a reservation here, because there are only 8 tables! And don't be fooled by the outside. Because once inside, you will be greeted by the sweetest and friendliest people in this restaurant. They serve certified meat from the Tuscan Chianina breed (Florence region). The fantastic T-bone (Bistecca) is also available in other and cheaper varieties. Order 1 large one of 1kg for 2 people and, after your inspection, it will be prepared on the BBQ in the middle of the restaurant. Fantastic! Please note, the price is a bit higher. But totally worth it. Because this is the best steak I have eaten in Tuscany!!! Tip: You can park directly next to the building, at the back.

03/10/2023: As a starter we had three types of tartare which were really very good. For the main course we had the steak with truffle honey. I ordered mine medium and it arrived quite bloody and very cold. Unfortunately it's a shame for €40. Tasted good, it was something new. For dessert I had a tangerine sorbet which was incredibly tasty and refreshing! The waiting time is very long. On average we waited 30-45 minutes. The service was very friendly and speaks good English.

06/04/2024: Isolated and cute. Parking available. Good lunch. 2 first courses, trio [consisting of tagliatelle with wild boar, mushrooms and pici with hare] and tagliatelle with mushrooms. 2 seconds, grilled wild boar and ribs. 1 dessert. Water, wine, coffee and bitters. For two, Euro 75. Nice staff and good food.

01/04/2024: Very beautiful place, well-kept, welcoming, the large fireplace in the center of the fabulous room. The staff was super friendly and attentive to requests made. Delicious soups and amazing tagliatelle with mushrooms. Too bad it's about 300km away otherwise we would have gone often. Il Castagno da Nichi Super Recommended

15/01/2024: Difficile emettere un giudizio netto. Facciamo allora che scrivo separatamente gli aspetti che ci sono piaciuti e quelli meno graditi. La sala è una bomboniera, arredata con grande gusto, il servizio è attentissimo, professionale e "avvolgente" (anche troppo, qualcuno potrebbe dire, ma non è una critica). Il menù è molto bello e lascia nella indecisione sulla scelta, perchè si ha la sensazione che anche i piatti non scelti avrebbero meritato. Una selezione di salumi davvero eccezionale ed abbondante, con una presentazione che insiste nell'esaltarne la qualità ed un primo di taglierini cotti alla perfezione. Come secondi abbiamo preso un filetto di maiale ed un piatto di lingua. Ottima la lingua mentre il filetto era abbastanza duro, ma in entrambi i piatti ( e presumiamo in tutto il menù) si verifica una tendenza comune ai ristoranti "presuntosi" e cioè la somma di ingredienti che nel piatto sono in presenza talmente secondaria da non essere gustati ma fanno tanto effetto nella loro elencazione. Abbiamo richiesto 4 bicchieri di vino, ottimo peraltro e ci è stato offerto un cognac finale eccezionale. Ma 4 piatti e 4 vini hanno portato il conto a 150 €. I piatti sono, nella loro maggioranza, compresi tra 20 e 30 €. Più in generale è stata poco gradevole la sensazione di essere ammessi alla mensa degli Dei e serviti con le materie prime più esclusive dell'universo mondo. Ripeto, le materie prime erano davvero ottime, ma non è piacevole essere commensali "sottostanti". Certo, può essere un limite nostro, ma per evitarlo, in futuro, non ci ritorneremo. Con un po' di dispiacere perchè le carni sono davvero di grande selezione.

Only the side vegetables were very tasty. It might be difficult for vegetarians to find something on the menu.

19/03/2024: I have been to eat here several times, as a couple, with friends or even with children and grandparents. The place is full of things, both inside and outside, so it may not be a problem. The service is very fast, the menu is limited and makes the task of the waiters easier, some simple appetizers, chicken and chips, normal or spicy, alternatively two hamburger options. Usually the cockerel is tasty and good. Tonight mine was raw, even if it was hot, the only parts I could eat were the breast and the wings, the thighs and thighs were raw, they even leaked pink liquid onto the plate. Not bad, of the three dishes ordered only mine was like this and for once it fits. Even the desserts are simple like the rest of the menu. This is also reflected in the bill which does not give negative surprises, on the contrary, it encourages us to return, which is what we regularly do.

25/02/2024: Limoncino restaurant. On the road to go towards Valle Benedetta, in a quiet and natural context, you come across this typical Tuscan restaurant. The choice of dishes is essential to guarantee their quality which, as per Tuscan tradition, are very genuine and are also appreciated in quantity. Even vegetarians and vegans will find options for their meals. The environment is very nice and well-kept. Advised!

Congratulations for the well-kept typical environment that puts you in the right mental atmosphere...compliments to the dishes I ate, potatoes and chicken well cooked and hot presented in a refined and tempting way, the red beer drunk cold with enthusiasm together was very good to the rest of the dishes. The service for me was rather quick and very delicate as I like it. Honestly, I have never been there and I'm not a regular customer, for how I felt, for how I ate and the cost of everything I feel very satisfied and I think I will recommend it and will go back Thanks for the evening

25/02/2024: di ritorno da piombino , ci siamo fermati per caso in questo ristorante pizzeria per cenare , ma scelta fu piu azzeccata... abbiamo ordinato 2 fiorentine, tenere gustosissime e cotte alla perfezione... il locale e' spartano , ma accogliente, il personale e' gentilissimo, e la qualita' del cibo , ottima....il conto per le portate che abbiamo ordinato e' stato onestissimo...da ritornarci assolutamente.
