22/09/2025: Service: The wine we wanted to drink, which the staff said was a great decision, wasn't available. The bottle that we then ordered was brought to us open, but we couldn't even test it first, so we had to pour the first glass ourselves. The waiter had problems speaking english and was not flexible at all with the dish selection, since many dishes weren't available. We had to pay inside at the register, so with all that in mind, why does one have to pay cover charge? Food: The mozarella in the caprese salad was very jewy and the olive oil and aceto balsamico came in plastic bags, again why cover charge? The fish was okay but bland. The gnocchi were mushy and the shrimp sauce tasted frozen with a weird rotten fish aftertaste. Also the shrimps were cut open and there were scissors of other sea animals in the dish. We had to return it because it was inedible.

19/09/2025: Fish dishes have an unpleasant smell and terrible flavor. The only redeeming feature is the service.

04/10/2025: It's a nice place to stay in the summer, a nice place to stop on the beach or along the seafront.

20/08/2025: Terrible experience! We arrived for lunch... a 3.5-hour wait for a mussel stew that smelled rotten even from a distance... a truly embarrassing smell, just like the fried calamari skewers. The kitchen failed!!!

07/11/2025: We went for an aperitif at the Lo Scalo restaurant. It had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and was very clean. We sat inside, which was well-heated, and ordered the platter of cured meats and cheeses. The flavors were excellent, authentic, and of high quality. The fried gnocco was SUPERB!!!! The seafood spaghetti was delicious, as were the fillet steak and the pizza. In short, everything was perfect. The kindness of the waiter and the sweetness of the owner were unique on Lake Maggiore. We'll gladly return to be pampered again. Highly recommended.

07/10/2025: The rudest waiter at the entire lake, and the service was commensurate. It's actually unimaginable that when we asked for antipasti, we were shown an empty plate at the next table as a sample...

20/09/2025: We had breakfast at this bar. The owner is a history encyclopedia. He gave us a tour and directions for visiting Palermo that not even an expert tour guide would provide.

08/11/2025: The mussels with pepper sauce and the seafood first course were delicious. The waiters were very kind, and the setting was splendid, right by the sea and overlooking the boats. Highly recommended!

08/11/2025: 15 euro for 2 average pistachio croissants and 2 regular cappuccinos. Switched the prices when we questioned the high charge too. Had the cheek to ask for a tip for counter service too. Wouldn’t recommend.

28/07/2025: The setting was stunning, the view magnificent. Slow service, but the real sore point was the food. Improperly cooked, poor quality food. It's a shame, because in the past, it was a guarantee.

24/03/2025: Con l’amico Luca siamo stati ospiti nella Hostaria Orcobacco di Borgomanero giovedì sera. La scelta è stata fatta in base a commenti positivi che abbiamo raccolto da amici e che ci hanno invitato a provarlo. Il locale all’esterno è anonimo ma entrando si percepisce un’atmosfera piacevole, l’ambiente carino, i tavoli ben disposti e temperatura gradevole, dato che c’è una bella stufa in ceramica. Il menù è esposto su una lavagna a tutta parete, si compone di 3 antipasti, 3 primi, 3 secondi e 3 dolci. Discorda da quello inserito sul sito dove vi sono 4 secondi. La nostra scelta è ricaduta su: Flan di topinambur con fonduta di toma Maccagno, il flan aveva un gusto appena appena accennato, la fonduta ha dato un po’ di tono. Crema di vongole veraci con pane croccante alle erbe e crumble di guanciale, al mio amico piacciono i toni decisi per cui lo ha apprezzato. Agnolotti ripieni di gorgonzola riserva con pere decana e burro alla maggiorana, la pasta piuttosto spessa (va a gusti) il gorgonzola riserva sovrastava il piatto. Petto d'anatra con purè di pastinaca, salsa al whisky e amarene, purtroppo ho dovuto far togliere le amarene per una mia problematica ed il piatto è stato inevitabilmente trasformato. La carne era cotta, il purè era ben eseguito, il tutto di mio gradimento. Tiramisù classico, purtroppo non ci siamo proprio… i savoiardi erano asciutti e con troppo mascarpone. Una vera delusione. Servizio cortese e molto presente. Il conto ammonta a 104 euro, con due calici di franciacorta, i prezzi del menu sono tutti esposti sul sito. È un locale da provare.

07/12/2025: We're customers and we were very disappointed. Among the pizzas we ordered, there was a Scaccione with speck. We asked to replace it with bresaola. Well, we were charged for the extra. We think this is unfair and we won't be going back, because it wasn't an extra, but a substitution.

03/12/2025: The restaurant is definitely worth it. The raclette was excellent and plentiful, so much so that we didn't get dessert... Too bad, we'll try next time!

19/10/2025: The ambiance and location are phenomenal. The restaurant perfectly complements the beautiful harbor. The food was delicious and well-prepared from start to finish. The waiter was friendly, took our orders very carefully, and was attentive to any special requests. Relaxing music played in the background, making us feel very comfortable. Even the bathroom was one of the most beautiful I've seen in Italy! My only (minor) criticism: In such an upscale restaurant, I would expect the waiters to be appropriately dressed. Our waiter was walking around in a T-shirt, while his colleague served his guests in a hoodie.

16/10/2025: Excellent restaurant overlooking the Porto Ercole harbor. Refined and beautifully presented seafood dishes.

15/12/2025: Perfect service. I loved the seafood pasta dinner, the appetizer, and the ice cream and tiramisu dessert… Franco was very professional, polite, and smiling; honestly, the best waiter and service I've ever experienced. I recommend him to everyone. It's absolutely worth the price. Thank you again.

05/12/2025: My carbonara wasn’t just swimming in sauce it was drowning in it. Plus the sauce was not equal to others I have had. I love CARBONARA but this wouldn’t make my top ten list. The waiter was nice. He did ask me why I hand eaten the bacon. Well, it just wasn’t right for me. You on the other hand might like it. They had indoor and outdoor seating. The hostess was nice. They did have a nice wine selection. The name IL VINETO means the vineyard.

07/12/2025: Introduction: We were a group of 10. Apparently, it's not always easy to find restaurants open on Saturdays, and we were lucky enough to find this one. It hosted us for two hours, where we had several dishes, including pasta with shrimp or tagliatelle as a starter, main courses like fried seafood, specials of the day, pizzas, and even desserts. Everything was delicious... especially the wines (I recommend the red), and it was also very fast. Since we were a large group, we were worried we'd have a wait, but we didn't. The staff who served us were really kind, from the moment we asked for information until payment. My only complaint is about the pasta portions: small compared to our usual portions, but that doesn't mean it wasn't still good.

01/06/2025: È un bellissimo posto, abbiamo mangiato benissimo, siamo stati serviti da Fabio, molto disponibile e gentile, c'è una lista dei vini e dei liquori, mai vista prima esempio la pagina dei gin con decine di marche di gin e c'è anche un ampio parcheggio. Intendo tornarci e lo raccomando.

27/04/2025: Storico ristorante della zona. Molto frequentato, sale ampie e spaziose, servizio notevole, personale rapido. Specialità di pesce ma anche carne. Bere da varie cantine rinnomate. Prezzi no mono reddito, ma ci sta. Parcheggio ampio e in loco. Conviene prenotazione. Struttura consigliata. Aprile 2025.
