The dry aged ribeye, spaghetti carbonara, Maccheroni amatriciama, Tirimasu, and gelato were fantastic. Marco was our server and did a fantastic job. We went on our last night, but if we had the chance, would gladly go again. We’re glad we chose Il Vineto as our last dinner in Rome!

Our concierge at the Bristol, knowing this was a special evening, made a reservation at Il Vineto. He was right, it was the perfect night! Our waiter was fun, the food was fabulous and the ambience was the best of Rome. We were with dear Roman friends who have very high expectations of their Italian restaurants and I’l Vineto passed their test… not easy.

The food was excellent, not cheap, but we thought that the price is fair given the quality. Service was friendly and joyful. The reason it is getting 3 stars and not 5 is what everyone complains about -- they are trying really hard to get more money off you: upselling is a bit annoying but somehow acceptable, but the pressure to give a tip on top of charging 10% service is underhanded are ruins the whole experience. OWNERS, PLEASE STOP THIS!

05/04/2024: We went in Nov/23. It was the best pasta we ate during our stay in Rome. The dishes are not expensive, my wife and I had dinner for less than 30 euros.
21/03/2024: Very good food and very kind staff. There are so many types of salads, you are spoiled for choice. The pizzas are typical Roman, with low dough but at the same time very soft. Highly recommended!
