26/11/2025: Honestly, I didn't find anything extremely exciting, the place was a bit subdued and the cold pizzas were passed off as lukewarm.

28/10/2025: Much worse. At 10 pm they start taking everything off your table even if you haven't finished. I was finishing the last rolls while everyone else had their plates and glasses taken away with wine still inside. I paid for the wine off the menu. You have to leave by 10:30 pm even if you haven't finished. The waiters look at you suspiciously and are in a hurry. I don't recommend it and I won't be going back.

16/11/2025: Il Cantiere is a welcoming and vibrant little place. It's not very large, but it's warm and homey. The street and urban-style furnishings, mostly made from recycled materials, give it a youthful and light-hearted feel, typical of a contemporary art venue. The service is attentive and courteous. You can enjoy a delicious platter of cured meats or veggies, crostini, and various fried foods, accompanied by a good glass of wine, a beer, or another drink. The products offered are excellent, and the fried sage is a must-try. They also actively organize interesting musical evenings and cultural events aimed at promoting art and creativity. They also host language tandems to foster cross-cultural exchange. In short, a very stimulating atmosphere, yet with a lighthearted and original touch. I highly recommend it for a different kind of evening.

10/12/2025: We had a graduation lunch and it was fantastic: excellent food, impeccable service, and extremely helpful and friendly staff, even though we had exceeded the scheduled/agreed time. The owner was extremely helpful from the start and took great care of us. I hope to see him again every time I'm in Pescara!

20/11/2025: I fell in love with this place for its enchanting fairytale atmosphere, you can feel the sense of history and of a family that has always loved it.

23/09/2025: It's been a while since I've been there, but after paying €2.30 for a simple round Margherita pizza, which wasn't very tasty either, I don't think I'll be back. I asked later where the prices were displayed, and they were between the entrance door and the drinks refrigerator, barely visible. Perhaps it's no coincidence that it's out of sight, given the prices.

28/07/2025: I went into this bar for a coffee. They ask if you want a drop of water with your coffee, and then you find 1.20 for the coffee on your bill, which is fine. Then, shamefully, they charge you 0.30 cents for the water with your coffee. It's never happened to me anywhere in Italy.

25/11/2025: Looks, tone of voice, everything to tell you you'd be better off moving. The coffee was drinkable, but left "sludgy" by the machine, which clearly needed descaling. The cake was too cold. The young assistant tried to improve the service, but was drawn into the rude owner's shop talk, using language best forgotten. P.S. (in response to the bar owner's reply) Everything I wrote in the review is true. Perhaps the owner wasn't in the mood—we're all human—perhaps it was early on a Sunday morning and therefore not the best time of day... However, I believe that a customer, especially a new one, should be greeted with kindness and helpfulness, and not in the terrible way I've described with absolute sincerity. I'm certain this isn't the lady's usual behavior with the majority of customers, because if that were the case, the customer base would have drastically decreased. Hospitality and helpfulness are essential requirements for any business dealing with the public, so they must always be there to be considered as such. I hope the lady will review her behavior and her commitment to customers in general, to providing courteous and helpful service, without distinction. Kind regards.

19/09/2025: Excessively long wait times: we had to cancel several orders for this very reason. Neither liquids nor bread were delivered during the wait. Furthermore, there is only one restroom for men and women, often with long lines, and the toilet didn't flush. The food is good, but without adequate service, the experience is unsatisfactory, especially since quality arrosticini can be found at many other places. Prices are in the medium-high range. Parking is very difficult to find.
