09/10/2025: We discovered this restaurant by chance, but it truly surprised us: all the dishes were spectacular, the place is beautiful, and you can tell it has a lot of history. The service was excellent and fast. We were pleasantly surprised, highly recommend it, and will definitely be back!

08/10/2025: First of all, don't trust Maps' directions to get to this place because it sends you down a dead-end street where it's difficult to get out... pay attention to the signs on the main road! Let's get to the restaurant... everything is very good, with refined, quality ingredients. The place is beautiful; we ate in the "cantine" (large cellar), but the main room also seemed very nice, albeit a bit of a maze with multiple floors. The kitchen is open, and many people work there, well-organized, and fast: the dishes came out in a few minutes despite it being packed. The wait staff seemed a bit stressed and frenetic, probably because it was busy and the kitchen was working at a fast pace, so they had to rush around quite a bit. All in all, a nice place with good food, but it didn't allow me to fully enjoy what it offered, not giving me the tranquility that a "Sunday lunch" deserves!

25/07/2025: A truly positive experience, the venue was perfect in every way, and the staff were exceptional. Carmine and Giovanni are fantastic people. I highly recommend them to everyone. The panoramic terrace offers a view of San Luca.

04/09/2025: Set amongst the postcard perfect backdrop of Monte Velino, this is without doubt a textbook hidden gem quaint town restaurant. If the drive to Rosciolo dei Marsi isn’t spectacular enough, it is matched with an equally spectacular dining experience at Locanda dell’Arco. The cuisine is a far cry from the usual suspects found in most abruzzese restaurants… this is next level. The restaurant is run by a young husband and wife team, with the husband heading the kitchen. The Chef has brought his Piemontese culinary roots into the heart of Abruzzo, with a menu that respects both tradition but also with a flair of innovation. The menu is small and hand written, ensuring it’s align with what’s seasonal and available at its best. The wine is in a league of its own, expect small batch barolo, barbera d’asti and barbaresco, amongst many others, all hand picked by the passionate couple. The chef’s wife, who leads the service, highly recommended the carpaccio di manzo with mandarin and basil sorbet. Let’s just say, I drove 2 hours to arrive at this restaurant and would travel 2 hours again just for this dish. Refreshing, clean and refined, without being pretentious, it set the pace for what was to be a memorable meal. As a Piemontese should be, the chef is famed for his risotto, today it was zafferanno with liquorice, his signature dish I apparently. No this is not something i would ever order without a recommendation, so I’m lucky I asked. This was without doubt the best risotto I’ver ever had, it wasn’t to be expected in a small remote town in the middle of Abruzzo, but this was just spectacular. To finish, another Piemontese classic, bonet. A chocolate and amaretto dessert that was probably the best spoon of food I’ve had in a very long time in an Italian restaurant. Luckily we ordered two of the same as it would be criminal to share. The desserts are truly outstanding and if I was a guts, I’d probably would have ordered two! The experience at Locanda was unexpectedly exceptional. The staff, the meal, the location, this is a restaurant that begs to be revisited and well worth a day dream even from Rome! Thank you Locanda dell’Arco for a memorable experience.

13/09/2025: If you come to Castel di Sangro, you absolutely have to stop and eat here. A very well-kept restaurant, with attentive and fast staff, and excellent food. Excellent value. My partner and I (we're parents, so we came with our young daughter) split a €24 appetizer and then ordered two first courses. My pappardelle with porcini mushrooms were spectacular. Finally, a lemon sorbet to refresh the palate. A highly recommended place for new parents. The bathroom also has a changing table for emergencies.

15/09/2025: I had lunch at Rifugio d'Abruzzo last week, and it was a flawless experience. Both the staff in the dining room and the kitchen made the meal perfect. Excellent food and excellent service, congratulations to you!

26/08/2025: To make our return from vacation less depressing, we decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant, and like St. Paul on the road to Damascus, we were stunned. The location is stunning, completely immersed in nature, and exudes a sense of peace and serenity. The dining room is meticulously designed, yet never cold or impersonal. The cuisine is excellent, with raw ingredients treated with respect, highlighted, yet never overpowered by "baroque" artifice. Attention to presentation is also key; in the end, appearance counts. But the service?!?! The service, guys, was truly superb. Mirko was perfect. Service was so professional, yet never cold or distant, I can barely remember him, and I've been to a few restaurants like that. So, if you want to learn the trade, don't waste your time; go to Mirko, watch him, and listen to him. This is how you should work.

16/09/2025: A fantastic experience: a curious and carefully crafted menu, attention to raw ingredients, and attentive service, all in an eclectic setting that exudes an artistic blend of futuristic research and tradition. A gastronomic gem in the Marsica region that I recommend to everyone, especially those who want to experience the raw, sincere, and authentic soul of the local tradition.

05/09/2025: The restaurant presents itself as a fine dining establishment, but the dishes belie this. We ordered a vegetarian platter... which wasn't vegetarian (with cured meats!). The gnocchi were completely tasteless. The pinsa was practically raw. If anything, the drinks were even worse: we were recommended a white wine that was completely unsuitable for dinner, very sweet and warm, and their own beer bore little resemblance to an IPA. The desserts we ordered were initially criticized because we didn't choose local ones... and then they never arrived. To top it all off, the POS didn't work.

14/09/2025: The food and service were just amazing! I think we’ll come to Pescara again just to have the food at this place. Everything was so delicious and perfect.

06/09/2025: It was a real discovery: very good traditional local cuisine, trattoria-style prices, and generous portions. It's a casual place; I personally only had the house antipasti and was satisfied. We'll gladly return. The restaurant is located in an older building and doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but I recommend it; it's worth it.

12/09/2025: I recently visited this pizzeria and was shocked by how easy their pizza was to digest. I ordered at least 5.6 pieces, but I could have eaten just as many. The digestibility and lightness of the dough were truly exceptional, not to mention the raw ingredients... truly excellent! I was worried it would be a typical tourist pizzeria given its location, but I was immediately proven wrong. Theirs is pure magic. I'll definitely be back to try it again soon.
