08/04/2026: This restaurant gave me a unique and memorable experience, with a mix of both positives and a few drawbacks. Let’s start with the atmosphere. Despite being located in the busy city of Venice, the restaurant offers a calm, quiet, and very traditional setting. It truly feels like an old, classic Italian restaurant, which creates a very pleasant and relaxing vibe. Regarding the food, I ordered lasagna, and it was excellent, very flavorful and clearly prepared with a high level of skill. However, we also ordered a seafood shell pasta, and unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked and quite hard. We double-checked it ourselves before saying anything, and it was clearly not cooked properly compared to other pasta dishes we’ve had. This situation had both a negative and a positive side. The downside was that the staff did not acknowledge that the pasta was undercooked and instead explained it as the style of Italian pasta, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, they replaced the dish without any issue, and the second pasta was perfectly cooked and enjoyable. I also tried their beer, which was good and fairly standard. In terms of pricing, it’s similar to other restaurants in Venice. As expected, Venice in general tends to be a bit more expensive compared to other Italian cities. Overall, despite the small issue, the atmosphere and the quality of some dishes make this place worth trying.

06/04/2026: We loved the location and the wine list, and the service started off well. Unfortunately, the food was shockingly bland—easily one of the most tasteless meals I’ve had in the past decade. The scallops had absolutely no flavor, the squid was only acceptable thanks to its natural taste, and the veal tenderloin was neither tender nor particularly enjoyable. After the first two appetizers, any hope of an enjoyable meal had already disappeared. However, as we were both hungry and tired, we simply finished the dinner without further expectations. At the end, we chose to share a constructive comment—because this is, after all, how serious establishments refine and improve. What followed was more surprising than the meal itself. A gentleman who introduced himself as the owner responded with visible irritation, dismissing our feedback entirely and making it clear we were not welcome. This kind of reaction is not only unnecessary, but also quite revealing. It is always disappointing to see a beautiful setting paired with such a lack of both culinary expression and professional courtesy. One might come for the view—but it would be wise not to expect the same standard from the kitchen, or the hospitality.
