Food didn’t wow me… you’re paying for the view and noticed that it was mainly tourists dining. The server was good and attentive but didn’t feel that what we paid the food was lacking. Also bees kept coming to our table.

The view is spectacular. If you sit by the seaside, you get a panoramic view of about 220 degrees.
The staff are very attentive, and I think the seafood will suit Japanese palates.

Highly recommended.
In the magnificent setting of Punta della Dogana in the Dorsoduro district, behind the Basilica of La Salute on the Giudecca Canal Riviera in the heart of the San Marco basin, you'll find the Lineadombra restaurant, where goods arriving by sea were once stored.
Veneto is a region rich in history, art, and traditions. Its cuisine adapts to the season and makes use of local products from the Rialto Market, where the atmosphere of spice merchants still lingers. Fresh fish arrives from the lagoon and nearby seas, and vegetables come from the gardens of Sant'Erasmo Island. Thus, the seasons dictate the rhythm of its menu, which acquires new aromas and flavors each time.
The fish and seafood of the day are the absolute stars of the main courses and the pasta (excellent). Its cuisine fuses tradition and innovation. Venetian rice is also a key ingredient, and northern polenta is reinvented. The kitchen team prepares its artisanal bread daily, using high-quality ingredients; an excellent prelude to what follows, such as their octopus or their fresh, homemade pasta.
Their wine cellar is a major plus for wine connoisseurs. After years of research since 2004, they boast a remarkable wine list, internationally recognized by Wine Spectator, with over 1,000 labels. They offer a wide and varied selection of young wines, thanks to the rich terroir of the Veneto region, as well as historic vintages and vertical tastings of wines aged over 10 years.
The staff welcomes you with warmth and professionalism. Rosella served us wonderfully, explaining each dish, its ingredients, the techniques, and its intriguing combinations.
Tables can be reserved by phone, email, or at reception, as we did after discovering it while strolling along the tranquil Dorsoduro Riviera. Reserving a table by the water for two people incurs an €80 supplement, which is explained when you make your reservation. If the weather is bad and dinner is moved indoors, that supplement is refunded. We were fortunate to have such a beautiful location, a privileged table, excellent service, and the thoughtful gesture of being reimbursed for the supplement.
Not to mention its indoor dining rooms, a splendid terrace with an unparalleled panoramic view of the Giudecca Canal and the Palladian churches of El Redentore and San Giorgio makes it a unique corner of Venice, far from the hustle and bustle. You only hear the murmur of the lagoon and watch the maritime life go by.

This restaurant is truly a spectacular place. The terrace right on the water creates an unforgettable setting and makes the whole experience feel very special.
We celebrated our daughter's birthday here, and it could not have been a more memorable location. We had a beautiful, cozy table, but I would strongly recommend making a reservation at least 2–3 weeks in advance, especially if you would like a table on the terrace.
The food was creative and delicious, the wine list was outstanding, and the service was excellent from start to finish.
A perfect place for a special celebration. We will always remember this wonderful evening in Venice.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we booked a table next to water. You need to pay more for a table next to water - is worth because the view is magnificent. The service was a little fast and you have the feeling they want you to move out fast to get new people. Is a time of 2 hours for service but the waiters are pushing harder to reduce this time - this will be the negative point of the night. The food is good , I will say medium plus, with some improvement potentially on combining the souse with the rest of food.
Overall a nice evening and I nice place to go and listen the waves when drinking a good wine.

I would give this restaurant a fair 3 stars. The scallops were sandy and bland. The management took forever to bring the dishes, long awkward waiting. Even the bill took forever to pay. They brought the bill and forgot about us until we reminded them that we want to pay to make our way. I picked this place as a birthday celebration but our request wasn’t taken into consideration even though it was confirmed by the stuff. Eventually the little surprise didn’t happen and I had to remind them and order a second dessert for a written happy birthday on the dish. Also, they gave us an ice cream with a candle, albeit not what we requested and the ice cream itself was good, they did not provide utensils. Overall the experience wasn’t great and I wouldn’t recommend

The place has an incredible view and magic, very friendly but slow service due to lack of staff, and dishes that leave much to be desired or are downright bad, like the completely overcooked beef.

Outdoor dinner, exceptional view, very good appetizers, so-so main courses (too much spice?)
Young waiters, long beards, earrings, unironed uniforms, and tennis shoes, and the usual place that invests heavily in the food but undervalues the dining room. What a shame...
