06/04/2026: Our hotel recommended us pizza, and we were quite pleased with the food, the staff, the ambiance, and the value for money. We also extend a special thanks because, in the absence of a taxi, the owner volunteered to take us to the hotel, even though the driver had assured us we'd find a taxi later. Highly recommended.

16/03/2026: We were passing through Bergamo and while looking at Google Maps, I noticed this place I'd saved a long time ago, recommended by Nicolò Balini. We decided to try this kebab, and it didn't disappoint. The place is located right on a busy street, unfortunately there aren't many parking spaces available. Fortunately, we found a white one in front, even though all the other spots were blue. The place looks small from the outside, but in reality, in addition to the upper floor, there's also a lower level where they seated us since the place was practically full. Despite being late service, we noticed particular attention to cleanliness, including the bathrooms, which were well stocked with soap and paper towels. Overall, we were also surprised by the overall beauty of the place, which appears well-kept and nicely decorated. The menu is very extensive; as you can see from the photos, there's plenty to choose from, and the prices aren't at all excessive, even considering the quality. I have to admit, we may have been lucky because within 15 minutes we ordered and received a falafel sandwich and a pizza, even though our neighbors at the table were complaining about having been waiting over 40 minutes for a sandwich. I'm obviously writing about my personal experience, which was more than positive. Having ordered a kebab pizza, I chose the sandwich with falafel, which I thought were excellent. The only negative was that the inside of the sandwich was cold, so I don't know if it had actually been made a while ago and wasn't reheated, or if there was a hitch along the way. The portions are certainly generous, the bread is good, and so is the toppings; the white sauce was very popular. The kebab pizza was also good, thin and crispy, although it was very soft in some areas, I think due to the dough. In total we spent 25 euros for the falafel sandwich menu, the pizza and a bottle of water, although I realized now looking at the photos, that 12 euros for the menu with 1 euro for water and 11 euros for the pizza should make 24 euros.

09/01/2026: Excellent food, clean atmosphere, and friendly staff. We were a large group of nine. We ate a lot and enjoyed everything. Even our vegetarian friend enjoyed it and had a wide selection to choose from. Congratulations! We'll definitely be back.

07/01/2026: I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant because the food is excellent, the staff is welcoming and very cheerful, and the dining room is beautifully decorated. But most importantly, it offers both meat-based and vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu. I'd say it's a 10/10! PS: For anyone looking for a recommendation, the standouts are the FUFU and the SPICY BEEF PIRI PIRI. Thanks again to the staff, and see you next time.

19/12/2025: We just had a great experience dining in Trattoria Valmarana. Both of our servers were really nice and the food was incredible! I wasn’t sure what to order and the pasta recommendation that server gave was so delicious! It was probably the best pasta I’ve ever had 🥹 Would definitely recommend 😊

20/03/2026: A Magical Experience It was truly a wonderful evening, a birthday present for my partner, who thoroughly enjoyed it. The venue is incredibly exclusive, located inside a historic Florentine villa, Villa Bardini, which is worth a visit in itself. The service was impeccable: the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes and describing the wines and their pairings. We chose the "La Via di Mezzo" menu, featuring eight courses with a selection of seven wines. Each course was a discovery, a visual and gustatory experience. Personally, I was struck by the elegance and simplicity of the Beetroot: it was almost a sin to eat it. The Jerusalem Artichoke, Stravecchio, and Coffee Risotto, on the other hand, recalled the latte I drank as a boy before class. Among the desserts, the Brunelleschi Cupola with chocolate, black cherries, and ricotta was a truly delicious treat. The wine pairings were all spot-on; The wines didn't overpower the dishes, but complemented them, enriching the experience. Finally, a wonderful surprise: the view from the villa's terrace of Brunelleschi's Dome and a 200-degree panorama of Florence that rivals even Piazzale Michelangelo. This restaurant has all the credentials for a Michelin star, even if these days it's become a somewhat overused and sometimes "misleading" accolade. Many congratulations again to the Chef and all the staff!

20/03/2026: Recommended to us by staff at a local winery, we first appreciated the approach, which is summed up in the menu's introduction (see photo). Everything was good, with the artichoke steamed in apple cider vinegar being exceptional (according to those who ate it). We appreciated the value for money. Recommended.

19/02/2026: A very warm welcome. We ordered wine, appetizers, and pizzas. Everything was delicious, the pizzas were made right in front of us. The waitress speaks good English, and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommended.

10/02/2026: Everything was absolutely delicious. The appetizer was a dream, and the pizza was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend trying the tiramisu — it’s the best I’ve ever eaten. The only small thing I would change is the lighting; a bit dimmer would make the atmosphere feel more romantic.

07/04/2026: A wonderful discovery 🤩 It's become my favorite restaurant in Riva. A charming location with tables surrounded by sandstone rock and dishes crafted with perfect flavor combinations. We left full and very satisfied. The staff was extremely kind and professional! If you want to eat well and make a good impression, choose "La Berlera."

10/04/2026: I was disappointed! If all you do is burgers and hots dogs and fries, then you need to do it really well! For $18 USD for a burger and fries, this did not live up at all, unfortunately. The fries were ok, but not great. But the burger was so bland and had no flavor at all. Tasted like ground beef on a bun with no salt or anything. I was so sad as I was hoping to really like this place and to feel like a got a good burger fix. I hope this feedback is helpful.

Recommended for anyone who truly wants to try something different and delve into REAL vegetarian-vegan cuisine, not just the cheesy dishes or vegan imitations of meat or fish. The dishes are all balanced and very enjoyable (special mention goes to the fantastic dessert and the risotto). The five-course menu is perfect for discovering unusual ingredients and techniques. The service is extremely polite, elegant, and always smiling. The restaurant is very elegant, and you can sense the refinement and harmony. It's wonderful to go "blind" and be surprised, with an equally unique wine list and a selection of teas, kombucha, water kefir, and liqueurs (including non-alcoholic ones). I'll definitely be back (as a super omnivore, finally a real alternative that makes me want to come back and try again)!
