08/05/2026: Beautifully restored restaurant but quiet atmosphere in early May. Great views, wonderful side garden, good service, reasonably priced local wines. Personal view so dont let it put you off, as this is an attempt at innovative fine dining - chef-ified and de-rusticated. Calabria...but food didn't really do it for us. Pasta itself good... but soggy ravioli (split or intentional? unsure) and powdered mint spinkled artichoke pasta creation mainly lemon flavoured. Both veal and lamb rib chops seemed slow cooked...odd choice for these cuts rendering a grey meat albeit with intense sauces to restore. Prefer de-chef-ified re-rusticated Calabria.

25/04/2026: Typical Civita cuisine revisited in the style of Chef Gregorio Buccolieri, a welcoming atmosphere, a beautiful garden area with outdoor dining options, and friendly and professional staff. Excellent service and a good wine list, the cuisine is delicate and tasty. The meatballs with creamed carrots are delicious. Homemade leavened and baked goods are also available. The menu changes with the seasons and the carefully selected ingredients. Good value, reservations recommended.

11/05/2026: After three evenings in Tropea, we found a restaurant that was worth it. Excellent food and great local wine, as well as perfect service. The restaurant is a bit out of the center and without a terrace, but it is worth visiting.

28/05/2026: Welcoming atmosphere, delicious pizza (and more), and above all, fantastic staff! The owners are young people with a strong desire to do things and do them well. Their enthusiasm and determination make you feel immediately welcomed and at home. Here you'll find carefully selected ingredients, always fresh, and... everything, absolutely everything, made by their own hands. A true experience. I highly recommend it.

10/09/2025: Delicious croissants with generous fillings, bought almost every night for breakfast the next day and because they're so addictive. The ice cream is also no joke, and it's delicious, too.

02/05/2026: We stayed for two days at the La Fontanella farmhouse in Nuppolara (Papasidero), a family-run business run with passion by Mr. Matteo and his wife, along with their four wonderful and tireless children. From the first moment, we were immersed in nature, surrounded by tranquility and authenticity. We had the pleasure of tasting traditional flavors, prepared with love and great skill, which made every meal a special experience. During our stay, we also experienced moments of pure adventure, such as rafting on the Lao River, led by the extraordinary and professional guides Danilo and Emanuele, who made the experience safe and unforgettable. Mr. Matteo also accompanied us on a charming trek in Campo Tenese, searching for truffles, together with Briciola, their affectionate dog with an exceptional nose: an authentic and fun experience that brought us even closer to the territory. What makes this place truly special is the atmosphere: you can feel the simplicity of genuine things, those that have great human value. Work is never lacking here, but it's always accompanied by a smile and the desire to make every guest feel at home. In a very short time, you feel part of a large extended family, where the welcome is spontaneous and sincere. It's a magical place that we recommend to anyone who wants to relax surrounded by nature and enjoy authentic experiences, including outdoor activities and warm hospitality. When I made a specific request for food intolerances, they took great care to address the issue, unlike any other restaurant. 11/03/2026: Near Alargon Castle, this restaurant has a small but well-maintained and clean atmosphere. No complaints, and parking is convenient because it's right next to the restaurant. The prices are fair, perfectly in line with the offerings. A lovely dinner for a refined palate! Recommended.
