01/05/2026: I had the pleasure of dining at Casa Sgarra, and I have to say it was nothing short of sensational. The setting is extremely refined and elegant, but the surprising thing is that it never makes you feel wrong or out of place. The welcome is warm and they pamper you from start to finish, starting with the delicious welcome amuse-bouche. You can taste the passion and precision with which the dishes are prepared in every flavor. You taste each dish and it's natural to say, "Wow, what a blast!" For example: I'm not particularly fond of fish, yet the calamari as an appetizer was spectacular. The suckling pig was also wonderful, cooked and treated to perfection. My partner chose amberjack (for his main course) and was more than thrilled! The value for money is exceptional, especially considering the high quality of the cuisine. It's an experience I highly recommend and a place I would definitely return to with great pleasure.

The entire staff is very attentive to every detail, ensuring guests enjoy the food and feel comfortable in this restaurant. I will happily return to this place and will recommend it to others.

15/05/2026: Small place, with really good daily specials. We went for the burgers, but were charmed by the explanation of the daily specials. We had a pasta with mussel ragu and a fresh fish with really delicious vegetables. The waiter was really kind and a real polyglot, really impressive. The menu isn't super big, but that's a positive! They do they few dishes they have really good. The menu also has lovely illustrations! We shared a lemon cheesecake, which was also sublime.

09/04/2026: We returned to this magnificent restaurant for the second time, and once again, the experience was simply splendid. We chose the seafood tasting menu, consisting of four courses paired with glasses selected by the chef: a true culinary journey, thoughtful and harmonious, capable of surprising from start to finish. Among the dishes, the raw seafood appetizer was unforgettable: tuna and salmon carpaccio, oysters, shrimp, scampi, and caviar... a generous selection, enhanced by an excellent champagne, truly thrilling. The vanilla ice cream with salt, pepper, and oil was also surprising, paired with an exquisite passito wine: an original and perfectly executed combination. Special praise goes to the chef, also a sommelier, who paired each course with great skill and sensitivity: a fragrant and fruity New Zealand white wine was memorable. The service was impeccable: the staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and of rare kindness. We felt truly pampered throughout the evening. A restaurant we recommend without hesitation for special occasions, where quality, elegance, and hospitality meet in an excellent way.

Andrea and Barbara have the gift of understanding how precious the trust their guests place in choosing their restaurant is, and they truly understand the value of time! The time people choose to spend in their restaurant is the time needed to grow authentic products and prepare them with the necessary care. The restaurant is small (about 12 seats), with meticulous attention to detail. The menu is fixed and the same for all guests, and dinner is at 8:00 PM. Barbara prepares delicious vegetarian recipes using local products grown directly near the restaurant, while Andrea welcomes his guests with great warmth and kindness, introducing the restaurant, their daily activities, and each course with meticulous care, conveying all their love for growing products and their artisanal preparation according to ancient traditions. A wonderful experience. Thank you for what you do 😊!

Family-owned for generations, Ristorante Galli welcomes you like a long-lost cousin, surrounding you with warmth, love, and exquisite cuisine. “Super Nonno” greets you at the door and personally escorts you to your table, where an unforgettable feast begins: an amuse bouche to awaken your palate, freshly picked squash blossoms, lightly fried and dusted with powdered sugar; baby artichokes infused with mint; baccalà nestled in creamy potato; tiny Laguna shrimp served in a tender artichoke bowl; branzino baked in parchment; bigoli all’anatra; delicate ravioli crafted into perfect bites; and an amatriciana prepared à la minute that will make you swoon—and seriously consider moving to Italy. Nonno’s son, Carlo, expertly guides you through the menu while daughter Monica prepares each dish with care and precision. After a digestivo and a sweet treat, you leave feeling like royalty, already dreaming about your next visit.

25/04/2026: A fantastic experience amidst the winding roads of Abruzzo. After a motorcycle ride through Guardiagrele, Casoli, the Verde River springs in Fara San Martino, Palena, Campo di Giove, and Pacentro, we crossed the San Leonardo Pass and stopped for lunch at Locanda del Barone in San Vittorino (descending just before Caramanico). ​The restaurant is wonderful, with a beautifully landscaped outdoor garden, perfect for relaxing. Lunch was top-notch: on the owner's recommendation, we opted for three starters, all perfect. We then continued with superb handmade arrosticini and exceptional roast lamb. The dessert, a lemon tart, was also excellent. ​The value for money is amazing, with the bill being decidedly modest considering the high quality of the dishes. We wanted to show our biker friends from Bari the best of Abruzzo, and thanks to this lunch, we achieved perfection. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! Booking in advance is recommended.
