13/01/2026: An average restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn't leave any particular impressions. The tagliata didn't live up to expectations; it's hard to even classify it. Basic service, pleasant atmosphere, two rooms, one more welcoming, the other less so... overall, the experience was rather unimpressive. It's a shame, because there are definitely better options in the Orvieto area.

07/01/2026: Great restaurant! The menu is consistent with the area and local traditions. The first courses were excellent, especially the tagliatelle. We really appreciated the quality of the pasta and its cooking. The service was fast and friendly. Reservations are recommended, as the place filled up quickly. Although the town is small and easy to navigate, the restaurant is conveniently located. A good choice considering the quality and price, even though ours was a quick and simple lunch.

02/06/2026: Disrespectful to tourists. I was alone, looking for good, authentic food, and waited over 30 minutes. The owner barely looked at me; other Italians called him over, telling him I was waiting. When he finally attended to me, even though there were two empty tables, he wouldn't let me sit down, saying he was waiting for other Italians to arrive. After waiting an hour, he said I would be seated in 30 minutes, but the restaurant closed in 15 minutes... I went to the restaurant next door, Al Pozzo, where the service was much better and the food was excellent.

03/04/2026: The truffle pasta at the restaurant recommended by the guide was delicious. However, ordering at an Italian restaurant felt a bit awkward. I clearly ordered just one pasta dish, but a fried egg came out with it, and the price was similar to the pasta. I was shocked. I don't know if I just mindlessly said okay, but it didn't feel good. I turned around thinking it was a relief since the food was good, but did they pull a trick on me for a moment? Anyway, make sure to check the box stating that you are only eating this when ordering.

03/04/2026: The dishes are both delicious and visually stunning, and truly exceptional. Some are even experimental, blending diverse culinary traditions with classic Italian cuisine. The interior is stylishly modern and very cozy, with chill jazz playing in the background. The staff is very friendly (especially with children)! Not overpriced! Update 2026 (8 years later): Nothing has changed! On the contrary, it might even be a touch better :)

16/05/2026: A pleasant surprise! We tried three different first courses, all plentiful and truly delicious! Congratulations! Small, well-kept, and very welcoming place. Close to the station, where parking is easy to find. The icing on the cake was the fresh, homemade desserts. Truly a wonderful surprise!!!

06/06/2026: Unfortunately, there was constant background music. The staff seemed a bit pushy. The wine list was extensive, but the food menu was rather sparse. The menu was only accessible via QR code or website. The rabbit was very tasty. The tiramisu was served in a regular cappuccino cup, so it wasn't much, yet still cost a hefty €7. The taste was only average. We have very different memories of the tiramisu we had in Spoleto.

30/05/2026: A quiet atmosphere, a refined restaurant, and attentive service. A varied menu featuring vegetarian and traditional options. Centrally located, reservations recommended. The Orvieto-style rabbit is delicious!

15/06/2026: The menu is varied and well-stocked, the staff is extremely friendly and approachable, and the atmosphere is welcoming.

15/06/2026: We were traveling from Ravenna to Caserta and found Terni to be the hub between the two cities and a great place to stop. Once we exited the E45 near Terni, we discovered "La Locanda del Poggio" down by the bridge on a Sunday, the restaurant and dining room being packed. We decided to stop to ask if there were any seats, and the very kind waiter Fabrizio was immediately available and seated us. The wait and service were very quick, considering the dining room was packed. We were served a fish-based first course, such as seafood scialatielli and fried calamari, as well as a first course with tomato sauce for our daughter. What can I say? Everything was plentiful (on average it takes three people to eat a single dish), from the first course, which satisfied our meal, to the second course, also fish, of excellent quality. Everything was fresh, like the homemade pasta and the fresh fish! We immediately immersed ourselves in a fantastic experience. We ate wonderfully, their cuisine was evocative, and the best thing that happened to us (perhaps because of my Apulian blood, like mine) was the presence of the owner Carmelo (from Crispiano, in the province of Taranto), who insisted on giving me two bottles of Umbrian wine without me even asking. These are the most interesting discoveries in life. A place run by extraordinary people. The prices are fair, 40 euros for three people. A truly excellent value for what we drank and ate, right down to the dessert and coffee (excellent). I congratulate you, Carmelo, and all your staff for making me feel at home. Despite the chaos in the restaurant on Sunday, customers certainly appreciate your quality and your cuisine!!!! Ad maiora.

15/06/2026: Truly spectacular. A flawless experience top to bottom. The food, the wine, the service…it’s a surprise they don’t have 3 Michelin stars already. Run by two brothers who have such deep passion that it’s contagious. Our server Andrea was a delight and extremely knowledgeable about anything on the menu, food or wine. The truffles are delicious and caught by the brothers. Ask them about their truffle hunting tour…it’s an unforgettable experience. You should absolutely go far out of your way to visit this special place without hesitation.

10/07/2026: I'm already longing for this restaurant; I'd return to Orvieto just for another dinner there. The dishes were delicious and high-quality. We were amazed that, despite serving traditional cuisine and offering average prices, it wasn't a touristy restaurant, which made the experience excellent. There was no chaos in the dining room, and the staff was particularly attentive to their customers, a rare sight these days. Antonio is uniquely friendly and genuine, very knowledgeable and attentive. On top of that, he made us laugh, and we enjoyed the dinner even more. Thanks to his advice, we were convinced to try the tagliatelle with truffle, and luckily we listened to him (we were hesitant because it's poorly prepared in our area). Finally, they were super helpful and kind, not only to us but also to Cesare, our son. Congratulations to this restaurant, which I hope always remains this authentic, simple, yet at the same time offers top-notch cuisine and service.

05/07/2026: We tried a variety of dishes, and they were all delicious, especially the rabbit ragù. Friendly and thorough service. The labyrinth of caves beneath the restaurant is amazing.
