24/04/2025: Not a bad atmosphere, even if the restaurant is located in a side street hidden under an arch. We had lunch at Easter in the 2pm shift. There was a shift before 12pm and I saw a table of about 10 people asked to leave the table because it was after 2pm and they were waiting for a group of 10 people... who never arrived. They actually made us wait outside the restaurant until 2pm, even though there were two free tables. Once inside they evidently forgot about us. We had to ask several times first to get the menu and then to say what we wanted. Furthermore, whoever was supposed to bring us things forgot the coke... but they were nice. The food was good and all in all we had a nice afternoon

18/05/2025: Wonderful place in the center of Assisi, we ate on the terrace, refined and excellent food, the staff......what can I say fantastic, and since it was my birthday cake with a candle. We can't wait to go back. Today was the first time. Thank you !!!!!!!

30/03/2025: We had dinner at Locanda del Podestà and we were thrilled! The stringozzi alla norcina were spectacular, with a creamy and tasty sauce, and the cold cuts were of the highest quality, fresh and tasty. The staff was very kind, always attentive and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere of the place is warm and welcoming, perfect for a pleasant day in Assisi. Highly recommended for those who want to taste the real Umbrian cuisine!

10/05/2025: Location right in the centre, very friendly staff. Restaurant for meat lovers, the menu is not very varied.. I took the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms in sauce but I made a mistake in ordering it because they don't make it well cooked as I like it (I had it put back on the plate). Good, salty bread, Apulian type. Very good baked potatoes. Excellent caprese cake.

07/05/2025: Locale forse dall’atmosfera un po’ “freddina” ma la nostra è stata una fermata breve per un apericena che tutto sommato ci ha soddisfatto, sia i prodotti che la qualità, accompagnato da due clici di vino “generosi” per la quantità: dalle nostri parti ne servono di meno…. Servizio cortese e veloce, poche persone all’interno visto anche l’orario, abbiamo apprezzato che anche senza prenotazione ci hanno fatto accomodare senza alcun problema.

21/04/2025: Invited by the good reviews we booked. We entered the restaurant and were the first customers; Despite this, there was a bit of a wait between the starter and the first course. In the end, to pay the bill, we were asked to pay in cash because there was no line for the POS. It is certainly not a disservice due to them, but it would have been correct to notify before dinner. If I didn't have enough cash I would have had to go to an ATM. The food, neither high nor low, neutral dinner.

27/04/2025: note to keep in mind that the vast majority of the food is home-grown vegetables, meats, cheeses, oil etc The dishes are cooked in an extremely tasty way with very balanced ingredients The service is extremely attentive, kind and fast I went for lunch on April 25 with a full restaurant, but despite this they were very fast The view over the Assisi valley is wonderful

27/04/2025: We were lucky enough to dine in this wonderful restaurant, refined dishes with raw materials of the highest quality and produced entirely by the owner of the structure. Highly recommended to enjoy true Umbrian cuisine, the structure is aesthetically wonderful. We will return without a shadow of a doubt.

02/05/2025: Family atmosphere, dated place, with a thousand "ancient" objects, on the hill. Fast, friendly and tidy service. Waitress thorough with explanations. The food is worth 10. Nettle tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms to try. The platter with excellent cured meats and crescentine, fabulous grilled meat. Price quality online. Highly recommended!

21/02/2025: Castello di Petrata will always have a special place in my heart, from the friendly service to the magnificent scenery and great kitchen staff. We organised our wedding party here and everything was done to perfection. I cannot wait to be a guest here on someone else their party (invite me). Definitly a 5/5 stars place, if you ever have the chance you should visit it!
