09/01/2026: Some meals stay with you, and this was one of them. From the moment we arrived we felt warmly welcomed, and that feeling stayed with us throughout the whole evening. We began with the arancini, which were simply exceptional — crisp on the outside and full of flavour inside. The pasta with cavolo nero was deeply comforting and beautifully balanced. For mains, the veal cheek was outstanding: meltingly tender, rich and soulful, while the mixed grill was perfectly cooked, full of flavour and seasoned with real care and respect for the ingredients. Dessert was just as special. The orange parfait was fresh and elegant, and the homemade dessert of the day was a true little surprise — simple, honest and delicious, just like the food you hope to find in a place like this. What really makes this restaurant shine is the people. The staff were genuinely kind, attentive and proud of what they serve. Combined with a lovely selection of local wines and a warm, relaxed atmosphere, it felt like discovering a little hidden gem in Assisi. This is the kind of place you remember long after the meal is finished. Highly, highly recommended ❤️

18/03/2026: Quaint and very friendly staff... but we were cold, there's not much choice (depends on your tastes and the kids!), we had reservations for 7:30 pm and dined at 8:30 (it wasn't even busy!). The lentil soup isn't soup... Overall, a pleasant evening, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it. The quality/price ratio is quite good. Maybe it's 3.5 stars...

17/11/2025: A wide selection of seafood dishes and the chef's suggestions are featured prominently on the menu. Unfortunately, the main course wasn't cooked sufficiently, and our full wine cooler was accidentally removed. The place gets very busy on weekends. Very friendly and helpful staff.

14/02/2026: The restaurant is tucked away, but easy to find. It's charming and has been expertly renovated to preserve its ancient features. The welcome and service were excellent, fast and friendly. From appetizers to desserts, everything was top-notch. They even let us try the extra virgin olive oil from the Il Melograno farm on our bread—a truly excellent start! I absolutely have to highlight the excellent grilled chicken, the baked potatoes, and the baked onions. Everything was cooked to perfection and had an unforgettable flavor. High-quality ingredients! The desserts are excellent. And to finish on a high note, the house amaro, kindly offered by the owner. It's not at all touristy, which was my fear. RECOMMENDED!!

18/12/2025: For Koreans who haven't visited Italy before, this is a restaurant catering to locals, not tourists. It's located up the stairs in an alley near a square with a fountain. The only downside is that the stairs might be a bit difficult for those with mobility issues. I'm not sure if my husband is Italian, so I'm used to salty food, but I've seen some reviews complaining about the saltiness, but for me, it wasn't salty at all and was delicious. This was the best salad I've had throughout my travels in Italy, and the meats were, without a doubt, delicious. The price is incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food, the space is spacious and clean, and the service is excellent. This is a must-visit restaurant when you're in Assisi. Be sure to try the salad. It's fresh, and you can mix it up with a little salt, pepper, olive oil, and Venegal sauce. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, I've attached a photo so you can see what I mean. I had the mixed pork steak, and my husband had the beef steak, and both were excellent. The quality is top-notch. In Italy, they usually offer coffee after you're finished eating at a restaurant. Restaurant coffees tend to be lackluster, but this one was truly delicious. Adding the sugar that comes with your espresso makes it a perfect after-dinner treat. You can pay for your meal by standing up and approaching the waiter. The total bill came to around 71 euros, which is a good value for the quality.

07/04/2026: A historic osteria in Bologna's Gessi Park, spacious, informal, and family-friendly. Traditional and local dishes with a carefully selected selection of ingredients and a comprehensive wine list. An excellent place to spend a quiet evening with friends or family, suitable for small or medium-sized groups. Reservations are required for dinner after 10 p.m. and to arrange a menu.

30/03/2026: Nice little place, but slow service, despite the kindness of the staff, who were quite helpful but unfortunately very inexperienced! Average food, but the desserts deserve a mention.

27/11/2025: We had dinner last night to celebrate my birthday, and the experience was simply unforgettable. Chef Enea demonstrated extraordinary kindness, professionalism, and helpfulness, opening the restaurant especially for us on a closed day and taking care of every detail. Impeccable, creative, and exquisite dishes made the dinner unforgettable. A special thanks also to Nicoletta, who created the perfect atmosphere with a stunning and elegant setting. Her kindness also accompanied us throughout the evening, making everything even more perfect. We will definitely be back!!! Highly recommended.

14/11/2025: Where to start? The cheese and meat board was out of this world good! Andre was our waiter every time and was simply amazing. Always super friendly. We met the chef each evening when we went and sad to go but he was sooooo accommodating and kind and really a genius in the kitchen. It was a smaller venue perfect for.dat night. HUGE selection of wines ranging from 30 euros a bottle up to finer French wines for 900 euros so your experience is only dictated by your budget. We felt like we were treated like family. I cant say enough great things about the ambience and food and drink here.

23/03/2026: Exceptional location, courteous and attentive staff. Service and food were in keeping with the setting. Overall, an absolutely pleasant experience. The tour of the cellar and excavations completed the experience. I'll be back soon.

04/04/2026: We stopped for a quick lunch and ordered the 13 euro menu. I'd say it was plentiful and good... the staff were welcoming and super friendly... a rarity... congratulations!

14/03/2026: We only visited the restaurant as passing tourists, two couples, and ordered the tourist menu. The price was excellent, and the food was very tasty and well-portioned. The kitchen was spotless, and the restrooms were well-maintained. The young people at the tables were extremely courteous, extremely polite, and attentive. The owner's daughter, who is also a talented chef, was friendly and empathetic at the counter. Perfectly family-run, highly recommended. Reservations are recommended due to the large number of guests.

17/10/2025: We stopped by in May during our honeymoon and discovered a wonderful shop! The lady who welcomed us was incredibly kind and gracious: she let us taste everything with great enthusiasm, without ever making us feel in the way. The products, especially the wild boar ones, are exceptional! Congratulations for the quality and the welcome. Furthermore, with great courtesy, all the products we purchased were vacuum-packed for our return trip to Padua. Impeccable service, attentive to every detail. We will definitely be back! 28/09/2025: The best torta al testo in Assisi! Excellent quality ingredients, and one of the best torta al testo I've ever eaten. Fair prices, and friendly and welcoming owners who are committed to maintaining the high quality of their products. Definitely not to be missed.

05/04/2026: Good hotel. I don't think it's a true 3-star because the room is a bit bare. But everything else is excellent. They also accept dogs. The only criticism was about the room; the rest of the service was excellent. I hope to come in the summer to enjoy the pool. Thank you.

08/03/2026: A must-visit on our trips to Assisi. We've only tried the restaurant and it's great. The food is good and plentiful. There are always two or more vegetarian options for the main courses. You feel right at home, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

26/03/2026: Disappointing service and ho hum rooms at a quiet hotel. We weren't exactly welcomed upon arrival or at aperitif time at the bar, and continued to feel like we were infringing on the locals' experience via our presence here. Room was about what I expected for this type of hotel, with a shared toilet/shower arrangement and a satisfactory bed, with little space to stash luggage, etc. The room did have a lovely view of the the local fortress and one of Subasio's valleys, which did add considerable appeal to the space. I can't say I was disappointed in the room furnishings as it's par for what I've seen across Italy for the price, but this was the only location out of seven hotels I've visited in Italy, where I didn't really feel welcomed.
