06/08/2025: The atmosphere is pleasantly rustic, with everything you could possibly need, but the most important thing is... the pizza! Baked by a true Neapolitan pizza chef, it's truly EXCEPTIONAL in its variety of flavors! If you have room for a dessert at the end of the meal, I highly recommend the unmissable Babà filled with a variety of flavors! In my opinion, it deserves 5 stars!

07/05/2025: Conosco le peschine e di solito prendo quelle a colazione, sono buonissime, le migliori di tutte , nei dintorni... Ma c'è un MA...l'ultima volta ho voluto provare la loro brioche alla panna...con mia grande sorpresa, visto il nome e la fama della pasticceria la panna non era panna vera, ma panna vegetale!!! Incredibileee, ma come mai mi chiedo? Una persona a cui piace la panna, perché dovrebbe prendere un pezzo di brioche secca , neanche fatta bene e immaginare un qualsiasi sapore all'interno? Perché la panna vegetale non sa di nulla naturalmente. Da una pasticceria che si rispetti, ci si aspettano almeno ingredienti di qualità. La prossima volta solo peschine!!!

23/08/2025: While the food is decent (nothing better), the rest ruins everything. The atmosphere is cold and messy: LED lights, cold and warm pendant lights, no tablecloth, white paper napkins... basically, the opposite of what you'd expect from an Umbrian osteria. The service is a disaster. Some examples: welcome crostini served while we were eating our first course, cutlery not changed (the waitress took it off our plate and put it on the table), the table next to ours used as a storage area for piles of dirty plates cleared from other tables—absurd! The wine list is also a bit of a disaster if you're a wine lover. Despite the manager's friendliness, unfortunately, I can't really recommend it. Especially if you're looking for a nice, intimate place to eat and drink well. The bill isn't particularly high, at least, but I think you can find better in Assisi.

22/08/2025: COMMENT OUTBREAK In chronological order: Reservation only outside, with one table left unoccupied all night... When we arrived, our table (for 4) was located at the entrance of a building that immediately evokes a sense of uncertainty, prompting constant checks to make sure no neighbors are coming out... perhaps with their trash can ready to be unloaded. The uncertainty is also symbolized by the slope of the street (~60°), where they use a rudimentary pallet to level the table, essential to prevent water from spilling. The chairs were slanted, much to the delight of the sciatic nerve. So far, so good; now the disaster begins. The proposal seems genuine at first glance, and we are ready. The order is simple and direct, and I see the notebook with legible words. We also kindly ask for an ashtray. The cured meats appetizer arrives, spoiler alert --> the torta testo disappointed me, but not because of the quality; I wasn't familiar with it, so I'll leave that aside. The cured meats are modest, as is the price. Time passes, we're getting to know each other, there's no reason to argue, and for four entrees, the delay is starting to matter. 38 minutes after the cured meats, the entrees and the ashtray are missing. At the stroke of the hour, the service shows up with a blank notebook and empty hands. The order hasn't been sent, so we send everything back. 15 minutes later, the dishes arrive, honestly. The pasta isn't homemade, but the sauce is tasty. The house dessert is good, perhaps undercooked. My only two for the food seems punitive, but deserved due to the context. The bill isn't given at the table... and luckily, it forces me to stretch my legs. The bill doesn't get discounted. In my opinion, the bitters ordered after the mess were at least worth it. I'll pass and hang up.

01/09/2025: Excellent pastries, but the savory treats are also excellent. The owner works with his hands, his mind, and his heart! Something that's unfortunately not a given these days. If you're passing through Assisi, stop by! It's centrally located yet incredibly quiet, perfect for relaxing for a few minutes before continuing your tour of this beautiful town.

21/08/2025: A trattoria with room options in Santa Maria degli Angeli, 3 km from Assisi. I stayed for two, one night with breakfast, and then dined there that evening. I had a very good set menu with a choice of starters, main courses, and side dishes. Breakfast was served at our tables. In addition to drinks (coffee, cappuccino, etc.), we also found croissants and braided pastries, toast, yogurt, jam, and Nutella on the table. The place is very charming, with a stone structure and just a few km from Assisi. It was my first time there, but I'll definitely be back. I recommend it to anyone visiting Assisi. The staff was very professional and friendly.

31/08/2025: We stayed at Da Angelo to celebrate our parents' golden wedding anniversary and everything was perfect!! Delicious food, comfortable and super quiet room, beautiful pool, very kind staff! A fantastic view! Surrounded by greenery but only 4 minutes from the center of Assisi (with a very convenient shuttle)! You can't miss it!!!! ♥️

27/08/2025: Located right in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. Very beautiful, especially in the evening. Good food, excellent starters, but I wasn't entirely impressed with the platters, especially the quantity. Cheese was nonexistent. Overall, above average. For a simple dinner, it's more than adequate.

27/08/2025: I have been all over Europe and to Italy 5 times. Never have I had such a sublime meal as at Osteria Pozzo Della Mensa. The ravioli was amazing and the rolled pork wrapped in guanciale, lightly dusted with rock salt before plating, was bursting with flavor. You don’t want to miss out on this restaurant. VERY highly recommend!,

26/08/2025: I'll recount my less than happy experience. The super-kind and helpful staff were welcoming and prompt, and the restaurant is located on a small, secluded street, thus ensuring a certain degree of privacy at the outdoor tables. However, the food, unfortunately, is a real letdown: the quality/price ratio is embarrassing, to say the least. I found myself paying €18 for three lamb chops (which didn't even have much meat) on a bed of citrus fruit that was completely insubstantial and didn't match the meat at all. The desserts made up for it a bit, but again, they were mediocre and certainly not worthy of the price. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone looking for a pleasant evening in Assisi.
