16/10/2025: We visited this beautiful restaurant at the end of September. The place, as mentioned, is worth a visit despite the lackluster food and inattentive service. Speaking of the service: The waiter, along with another member of staff, two meters away from us, was moving chairs and talking loudly about where and how they would arrange a large group's table (I think 18 that evening), constantly pointing out why the group would be taking our seats, which was quite annoying for those trying to enjoy a meal. The prosecco we ordered arrived without a cooler and without letting one of us taste it. We got our hands wet when picking it up and pouring it, as we didn't have a napkin to wrap the bottle. Finally, the attitude towards foreign customers and us Italians was different, favoring the former. I understand that perhaps they were loyal customers, but feeling less "important" doesn't please anyone. The truffle dishes were all made with truffle sauce, which dominated the mushroom flavor and overpowered the dishes with oil. The truffle-infused egg was truly awful, and the cheeseboard consisted of a selection of "double" cheeses, two of each type, which was bizarre, as it seemed like it was meant to be shared rather than a tour of local haunts. The bill was reasonable; in fact, I'd say it was affordable. I'm giving it 5 stars because the location is amazing and there's definitely room for improvement.

16/10/2025: An excellent experience, traditional Umbrian cuisine in every way, with a variety of pastas and sauces to suit every taste. Generous portions served on hand-painted plates. The service is attentive and fast, never intrusive. Truffle dishes and homemade desserts are also available. The area is covered by several nearby parking lots. Recommended for those who want to taste authentic Umbrian cuisine!

04/10/2025: A truly charming two-level restaurant just off Todi's main square. It's nice to be right behind the Rocca park, where you can take a wonderful stroll. We were lucky enough to try the bruschetta with freshly pressed olive oil today—it was spectacular. The menu offers a wide selection of delicious dishes, from appetizers to first and second courses, with an excellent wine selection. I highly recommend the chickpea and porcini mushroom soup—it's spectacular!

19/10/2025: Everything about this dinner was perfect. Great local spot with traditional Italian food. The lamb and Guinia foil were excellent. Do try the namesake Picchilo Verde appetizer plate (safe among two people) homemade ravioli was amazing. Pistachio cake was chefs kiss to end the meal. Very affordable. Was super busy, but the service was still outstanding. We did have this dish, but sat next to the open fire where steaks are cooked. Smelled so delicious

17/10/2025: We were completely satisfied with the dinner! The service was prompt and very courteous; the restaurant is located on the ground floor of a historic building, and the rooms have very impressive high ceilings. We enjoyed every course, from the appetizer (the green woodpecker) to the desserts, including the first courses, especially the tagliatelle with truffle. In addition to the dishes, we ordered two bottles of water and half a liter of wine, for a total of €30, a bill we found very reasonable. We recommend ☺️

03/11/2025: Great experience... We came to Orvieto for a short trip. At lunchtime, we looked for a restaurant and found Trattoria dell'Orso. We ate very well, everything was truly delicious. The staff was kind and attentive. Highly recommended. P.S. The background music was also perfect.

22/09/2025: An authentic and genuine culinary experience, far from the chaos of the city and immersed in the tranquility of the Umbrian countryside, Ristorante Pizzeria San Bartolomeo, located on the Strada Statale della Contessa, is a stop well worth considering. San Bartolomeo's strong point is undoubtedly its cuisine, firmly rooted in local traditions with a wide array of dishes, from classic Umbrian first courses featuring homemade pasta to grilled meat main courses (they also serve pizza, but I haven't tried it). The restaurant's atmosphere is rustic, welcoming, and familiar. The staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful. The atmosphere is typical of old-fashioned trattorias. The quality-price ratio is excellent, with prices fair and appropriate for the quality and size of the portions. The service is quick and attentive.

22/10/2025: Let's forget it... Since you enter and find the sign at the cash register saying "POS not working" (coincidentally), I should have left. Then, a good morning is always appreciated, and they even seem free. Sandwiches: all there in plain sight, wrapped in plastic. At first bite, they seem rubbery, then you realize they really are rubber! They "attempt" to heat them up without asking if we preferred them hot or cold... Maybe it was a commendable attempt to revive them. Coffee.... The value for money is more consistent at the vending machines. Oh... table service is not included. And oh well, that's a policy at all Autogrill restaurants... oh no, it wasn't. Now that I know, I won't go back, should I ever have another chance. I'm sorry.

17/10/2025: Beautiful ambiance, very friendly staff, and excellent food. We had pork skewers and lamb chops, respectively, and were impressed by both the preparation and the quality of the meat.

17/08/2025: The appetizers are excellent and very generous. For this reason, I recommend ordering a medium appetizer, even if you're serving four people, or you risk not being able to eat the rest. The service was impeccable: even when we belatedly told the waiter that my father was allergic to a certain ingredient in the appetizer we'd already been served, the owner offered us an entire second appetizer just for him. As for dessert, I recommend the tiramisu.
