14/08/2024: It's a beautiful place, everything is very nice and clean. History and culture reflect the owners, beauty is everywhere. Nature...has a life of its own. There is a wonderful view. Hills, vineyards, olive groves, bell towers and much more, with a beautiful light at any time, the moon rising through the trees, a sky full of stars and a wonderful silence. Mrs. Anna seems to perceive your desires even from afar and spoils you, but her collaborators are no less so. It's beautiful!!!
Every meal is taken care of in detail, with local products of the highest quality and... excellent wines. There is still a lot to say, but to understand you have to go.
My holiday ended today and I can say that the reality far exceeded even the best expectations. Thanks for everything and we'll see you again soon.

13/07/2024: Brilliant small restaurant just off the main tourist routes in Orvieto.
Delicious food - shared antipasto of local specialties, then tagliatelle with rabbit and gnocchi with aubergines.
Friendly and humorous service.
Lunch included entry to the amazing tunnels under the restaurant.
We were the only customers, and I cannot understand why- please walk an extra 100 yards to enjoy this lovely local restaurant and its fascinating extra feature.
10/07/2024: We arrived with a large party without reservation on a weeknight. The staff accommodated us by opening up a new section of the restaurant which was very kind. Our server helped explain the food and brought dishes to the kids early as they were very hungry. The food quality was spotty… the labyrinth appetizer was very good. We ordered a variety of pastas and mains. The special of the day, gnocchi, was very soft and airy. My son loved it and ordered 2 plates. The pasta primavera was solid. The umbrichili with white boar ragout was extremely salty and nearly inedible. My husband’s umbrichili amatriciana was also on the salty side and just ok. I would give the food 3.5 stars if I had the option as some of our party loved their dish and others not so much. The service and atmosphere though were excellent. After dinner we were invited to explore the underground caverns which were very fun for the kids. Worth a visit.

01/08/2024: Excellent trattoria with very tasty typical dishes located near Via Emilia near a very pretty hamlet. Worth trying both in winter and summer (they have a very pleasant outdoor garden).

12/08/2024: The place is small but very characteristic. The service was friendly, fast and satisfying. The carbonara (number one) is not just a course written on the menu but it is so in name and in fact, as are the ravioli which were fantastic.

02/08/2024: Fantastic dinner. Michelin recommended with original and creative cooking. Not fancy fine dining (like a Michelin star) but incredibly well cooked with top ingredients. Unique and original cooking style. Any foodie would enjoy. Service and wine recommendation great. Viewing from the street be aware that its a bistro at the front but the posh restaurant tables are hidden in the rear. Thank you for such a lovely meal. Do go.

Arriving without a reservation, we were told there was no room. Obviously understandable, except that we were the ones who instantly indicated that the table in front was becoming available

26/07/2024: Location straordinaria. Dettagli curatissimi. Sala interna bellissima, terrazza esterna splendida. Personale veloce, preparato, gentile. Bar per aperitivo con prodotti fatti loro squisiti.
Insomma, c'è tutto quanto per fare il grande passo.
Compresa la cucina. Ovviamente non è la stagione migliore per il tartufo ma proprio per questo abbiamo potuto apprezzare ancor di più la mano di Alice, davvero niente male (per me superlativi gli gnocchi). Oltre il gusto sa anche "giocare" molto bene con le consistenze e con l'estetica dei piatti.
Buonissima anche la carta dei vini.
Ovviamente i 4 su 5 sono perchè già lo paragono agli stellati locali (anzi rispetto ad un paio è già superiore)

Let me start by saying that we were lucky enough to be guests of our friends from Foligno for a special evening; guests who already know the estate and the property well. This affected the review... I don't think so because I would have written the following anyway.
There are some special places.... which rightly.... can be defined as "places of the soul"... among which the Tenuta di San Pietro a Pettine rightfully belongs.
Location, food experience, attentive and precise service, professionalism, environment, refinement... all elements that bring La Cucina and the Tenuta di San Pietro a Pettine in general... into the TOP list of places seen and tried in Umbria.
Very talented chef.... dishes that manage to mix tradition with innovation and creativity.... very good!
A round of applause to all the very young staff of the restaurant and to the TOP level Sommelier!
Very high level throughout ... with a "gem" above all .... the rural Romanesque church that stands inside the property perfectly renovated and restored by Carlo and his family .... a jewel returned to the community in fact .... because it is always accessible!
We had the pleasure of meeting Carlo... "Chapeau!!!" ... we will definitely see each other again!
