12/08/2025: One of my favorite Pakistani and Indian restaurants in Bolzano. I even went into the kitchen, paying at the register. I was looking inside but all I could see was the entrance. The owner invited me in if I wanted to see. I took a look and was amazed by the cleanliness, the attention to the food, and the dedication of the cooks, all of Pakistani origin, who handled the food with dance-like movements, the result of long experience. Their movements were coordinated with a genuine love for their country's food. Naan and chapatis were made directly over an open fire in a terracotta tandoori tube oven, as is traditional. The cooks were super focused, quick but not stressed. Certain foods require quick, repetitive movements, and they showed no effort, but pride in doing it well, synchronized because their hands were literally in contact with the fire to make naan or polo tanduri. Perhaps I was impertinent because I looked every corner; the cleanliness and order inside the kitchen is to be commended, however. I often make up excuses to go into the kitchens of other restaurants, and I've seen some shocking things, completely unlike Gul's. They methodically clean after every job. You could tell the chefs themselves loved working in a clean and orderly environment. It's a family-run business, run by the father, brothers, and cousins. There are no chefs outside the family, so everyone has their own duties and responsibilities, whether one person succeeds or succeeds as a whole family. This is what makes this place tick, run with love and respect for its customers. I've eaten here several times, always very good. I've been eating here for years now, with friends who come from out of town, and everyone's happy. It's also my son's favorite restaurant, because as a child, he makes requests that might be annoying, but the owners are happy to fulfill every wish, without charging extra. They pride themselves on being able to involve you in the customer's choice of food, and they're open to small changes that aren't added to the bill. Many restaurants charge an extra €2 for every small request, but that's not the case here. The flavor is wonderful, and the spiciness level is adjusted upon request. Generous portions. Very reasonable prices, even low for the quality of the food and service. Passing the corner of Via Bottai and Via Streiter, you can smell the inviting aroma from afar. The smell of authentic food, freshly prepared with care. It's no coincidence that it's always busy. It's a favorite among Bolzano residents and tourists alike. It enjoys an excellent reputation among locals, who are critical of exotic restaurants because not all places are this clean, tasty, and affordable. The interior is very elegant, with tables outside under umbrellas. Many people, casual passers-by, are drawn in by the inviting aroma. The cuisine is true to its tradition, slightly modified for European palates. The atmosphere is always pleasant despite being always busy. The staff is very calm and unhurried, a quality not all restaurants manage to maintain. Sometimes you have to wait for a table to become available; it's best to book in advance, but the wait is rewarded with excellent dishes. After ordering, it takes no more than 10 minutes. The restaurant is always open, so the ingredients are always fresh; there's no pre-cooked or frozen food; fresh meat is delivered every morning from a halal van. Even though this restaurant has become famous and highly sought-after over the years, it hasn't raised its prices. The owners are very humble and polite. It's a great place for children because the tables are on the street, so there's no traffic. Dogs are welcome. Parking is available on nearby streets, but the central location is also within walking distance, allowing you to admire the old city.

21/08/2025: Nice place, especially the internal garden. The wait for the food was short, and there was a lot to choose from, perhaps even too much, since they have everything. The pizza was good and satisfying, as were the burgers. They were very good, although they didn't fill me up enough, but it was worth trying. The desserts are also recommended; I particularly enjoyed the chocolate mousse with raspberries, and the presentation was beautiful.

20/08/2025: We had a sandwich and cruasán with a burger, which were truly excellent. It's a shame that the lunch menu isn't the same as the dinner menu, which, as I've read, offers more options.

However, the food turned out to be much better than anticipated. Everything was well-cooked, flavorful, and served at the right temperature. The pizza, in particular, stood out—it was delicious, with a crisp base and balanced toppings that made it very enjoyable. While the restaurant may not have the atmosphere of a traditional dining spot, the quality of the dishes more than made up for it. 16/08/2025: We went for pizza during a trip to San Candido this week. It was truly amazing, one of the best we've ever had, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. If you can, go there, you won't be disappointed.

04/09/2025: We stayed at this inn during a short motorcycle trip. We were able to park the motorcycles in the hotel's own carport. There are also several guest parking spaces in front of the hotel. The inn's location is ideal for motorcycle or bicycle tours. Bolzano can be reached in about 30 minutes. The rooms were modern and exceptionally clean. Rooms can be booked with breakfast only or half board. Dinner a la carte is also available. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. For vegetarians, I would recommend the breakfast option and dinner a la carte. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

01/09/2025: Our review focuses on the restaurant, where we had lunch and had a truly top-notch experience, both in terms of food and service. My husband and I shared a portion of truly delicious spinach-filled schlutzkrapfen, followed by a plate of beef cheek with polenta and vegetables, and finally a plate of salmon with grilled vegetables—all beautifully presented and delicious. Congratulations!

24/06/2025: Just finished dinner. The pizza dough was fantastic, the ingredients excellent and well worked. Pizza remained hot until the last bite and beer cold until the last sip. Recommended to anyone who is in Merano.

12/08/2025: We ate very well! Grilled meat, of course, the house specialty, absolutely top-notch! Plus, fast and friendly service, with a magnificent view of the Arco mountains... a place worth a visit, or even more!

11/08/2025: It's been a staple on our lakeside menu for at least 30 years. Always new ideas and tried-and-true favorites. Reservations recommended. A few things have changed under the new management, but unfortunately not everything is better. Overall, though, it's still good.

12/06/2025: Acceptable quality/price ratio, lately the prices have risen considerably. Familiar and discreet atmosphere, very refined in its simplicity, full of history. The variety is not very wide being a typical Trentino trattoria. But everything is excellent, from the giardiniera to the carne salada, perhaps the best I have ever tasted, tender and tasty, you can cut it with a fork!! The apple and amaretti cake, the strudel, the wine and the coffee are good!!!

02/07/2025: Just isolated enough to eat with only the sound of grazing cows. The managers are thoughtful and courteous. Excellent cuisine for the quality of the ingredients, a remarkable mix of typical and original readings. A rich menu that leaves you wanting to return.

11/04/2025: Nonostante venga a Campiglio da moltssimi anni non conoscevo questo posto. Grazie ad un amico che mi ci ha portato sono stato al Palù ed ho scoperto un ambiente suggestivo incastonato nella natura sopra Campo Carlo Magno. Arredi in stile rifugio moderno di montagna ed accoglienza calorosa fanno presagire ottimi piatti. La cucina è buona anche se rispetto ai miei gusti forse mi aspettavo qualcosa di diverso, in prticolare per l'uovo come antipasto che lo credevo intero anzichè in forma liquida mescolato al resto del condimento. Il cervo buono ed il vino d'accompagnamento piacevole. Sono convinto che vi siano altri gustosi piatti da provare e per questo motivo vorrò tornarci. Il prezzo è nella media, direi congruo per la location e la qualità dell'offerta (€ 45-50 a testa contate di investirle).
