25/08/2025: Following the Michelin Guide, I visited Aqua in Riva del Garda. Ambience & Location The restaurant is located directly on the water and impresses with its large window front and a pleasant color scheme of blue and white tones. The atmosphere is calming. However, the tables and chairs wobbled a bit, and the seating is exclusively designed for round four-seaters, which limits flexibility. Service Unfortunately, the service was not up to the standard one would expect from a restaurant of this standard. Although only three tables were occupied, we sat at our tables for 10-15 minutes without a greeting, menu, water, or any other kind of attention. Even the pre-booked option of a decorated table—which is offered via the website for an additional charge—was not implemented. This seems unprofessional and disappointing. The service was generally slow: sometimes served from the left, sometimes from the right, dishes were sometimes announced, sometimes placed without comment. We had to refill our own water several times. Particularly irritating: The selected vintage champagne was repeatedly referred to as "wine" and served in a red wine glass – a clear lack of service training here. Finally, there was also an error on the bill, which was only corrected after a request and a long wait. Cuisine The cuisine, however, was convincing: The 9-course menu was very harmonious in terms of flavor, expertly prepared, and attractively presented on high-quality china. The amuse-bouches were also harmoniously integrated. The expected culinary standards were met here. Conclusion While the kitchen delivers on its promises, the service falls significantly short of expectations. For a restaurant with this level of service, the service should be more professional, structured, and attentive. Overall, the evening was not a complete success. 24/08/2025: Michelin-starred restaurant. This is the perfect place if you want to dine in a modern and refined setting, with a pleasant lake view and very attentive service. The dishes in the tasting menu (vegetarian and seafood) won us over—and at times surprised us—with their beauty and flavor. The portions were minimal, as expected, except for the pasta with meat sauce, which I ordered for my toddler, and which was a huge hit!

16/08/2025: Excellent dinner! We stumbled upon it by chance but immediately fell in love, so much so that we returned the next day. We were impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in preparing the dishes. On the first day (a little heavy from the previous days), we ordered a salad. It was rich and tasty (not ordinary for a salad). On the second day, we opted for the burger with local meat, which was also excellent! We were also very tempted by the pizza, but unfortunately, we were already out of time. If we return to Selva, we will definitely return. Unparalleled value for money.

05/08/2025: Very disappointing service in all aspects, very high prices, decent food, we had a pizza, burnt, with buffalo mozzarella added for three euros, plus we had a decent salad not too good, we waited half an hour for two dishes that could have been done in 15 minutes, we also asked for a bottle of tap water and the waitress replied that she could not give it to us, so she gave us a bottle without a reusable seal, cost €4.20, a cost that not even sealed bottles have, The day before we went to the restaurant opposite where they gave us tap water without problems, plus there is a fountain a short distance from the restaurant that invites tourists to drink the mountain water, I do not recommend this place, plus the total for two dishes and a water plus the cover charge of €2.50 per person with only placemats and without bread was €40

01/09/2025: We had a wonderful stay at this hotel at the end of August, two families with teenage children. The hotel has everything you need: a pool, a hot tub, and a lovely spa. The breakfast was good and complete, as was the dinner, with good quality and variety. The staff was helpful. There's also a games area with ping pong, billiards, and foosball. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms. The only reason I didn't give the room 5 stars is the lack of a bidet, which, given the hotel's recent renovation and the spacious bathroom...it wasn't a bad thing...since a bidet is a VERY USEFUL feature! Otherwise, everything was perfect.
