The restaurant itself is beautiful with its old-world charm, the service was very friendly and attentive, and above all, genuine and not at all pretentious. I'll definitely be back! 👍😊

22/07/2026: A wonderful experience in Riva del Garda. A historic restaurant in a magnificent setting. The dishes were excellent, both the first and second courses, with meticulous attention to detail in both the presentation and execution. The fruit gelato was a truly perfect finale. It's a shame the outdoor seating is in the middle of a sea of ​​tourists. The price is more than fair.

21/07/2026: A simple and welcoming terrace overlooking Lake Garda. Menu featuring only lake fish. Each dish showcases the flavors of the lake. Worth returning for dessert. Entree with polenta and coffee accompanied by biscuits. Returned after a year: Returned for dessert and were always satisfied. We tried the dessert. The three-course entrée was very much appreciated. Excellent value for money. Suggestion: change at least one course from the menu.

14/06/2026: Simply superb!!! Excellent food, very good service, reasonably priced, but not "cheap".

13/06/2026: We had lunch outside in a quiet, breezy, and peaceful square. The waitress, sincerely and genuinely courteous, served us impeccably. The wait times were compatible with the dishes ordered, and all eight diners were served simultaneously. The menu was well-structured, without overdoing the selection, yet capable of satisfying everyone's needs, from children to greedy adults. Perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dry, and didn't "wet" the paper on the plate. The paccheri with fish sauce were good, a little overcooked, but it's a matter of taste. The gnocchi were fabulous, as was the spaghetti with meatballs. The breading on the children's cutlets was one of the best I've ever tasted. The tiramisu was perfectly balanced, with the coffee not overpowering the cocoa and the soft yet consistent cream. The cheesecake was equally good. Prices were reasonable for the location and the quality of the ingredients. The place was clean, as were the bathrooms. Recommended stop for lunch or dinner away from the chaos of the alleys.

10/07/2026: Very good dinner with mostly Italian food. Outside was very nice in the summer - lots of tables in the garden but seems like that requires reservations. We ate inside and it was a nice atmosphere. Good food and nice portions, also had a salad which we have not seen in many places around here.

01/07/2026: My friends and I came to Mar Dolomit and discovered some exceptional speck dumplings. Soft, tasty, and authentic: the best we've tasted in Ortisei. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service friendly. We'll definitely be back!

01/07/2026: This year too, I visited Mike, the owner of Mar Dolomit: a wonderful welcome, attentive and very polite staff, and delicious dishes: canederli, potato gnocchi, Storo polenta, and melted cheese and porcini mushrooms. Excellent price. A sure thing in Ortisei, see you next time.

07/06/2026: For me, the best restaurant in the Vinschgau Valley, if not in all of South Tyrol. What Kevin Trafoier conjures up on the plates at this family-run establishment is unparalleled. The focus is on using primarily regional ingredients; you can taste what you're eating and manage the entire menu without feeling overstuffed. Add to that the charming service from father Jörg and the fantastic wine recommendations with insider tips from sommelier and mother Sonya. Not to mention the sensational desserts and chocolates from daughter Nathalie. The bistro at lunchtime is also highly recommended. There are three lovely rooms available for overnight stays. The restaurant, with its own parking lot, is also easily accessible by the Vinschgau Railway.

05/07/2026: This is the best goulash I've ever eaten! The grilled pork chop was also truly excellent, and the French fries won everyone over. Unfortunately, we arrived a little late and weren't able to try all the dishes we'd have liked, especially since the portions are so generous! It's really hard to find a restaurant that offers better value than this one. I highly recommend it!

12/07/2026: The restaurant's terrace is in a sublime location, nestled among the vineyards with the church tower a little further away. The restaurant is highly recommended for the location alone. We opted for the wine pairing menu. The food was delicious and the wines matched perfectly. The staff is very friendly and takes the time to explain everything regarding your served menu with wine or cocktail.
