18/05/2025: Great spot for a little aperativo. We caught the jazz trio in the cisterns at the right time. Paired with a good sandwich and 2.50€ prosecco and wine between 3.5-7€, this was a great space to spend the afternoon.

17/05/2025: I agree with the comment above: the prices displayed on Google aren't the same in 2022 and you still haven't changed it, it's not serious. In France, you get fines for prices displayed that aren't correct!! It's misleading for customers, and yes, the server also only offers cash payment; he'll only take card payments if that's all you have!!! Luckily, my focaccia was good!

03/06/2025: We discovered the restaurant by chance while wandering around the city. Hidden, accessed by narrow steps from an alley. It is an experiential family restaurant with an amazing selection of delicacies. Highly recommended.

05/06/2025: There are lots of places to eat in San Gimignano, with a mix of touristy spots on the main streets. But head to the top of the town and turn off the main drag and you'll find La Mangiatoia tucked away round a quiet corner serving good quality Tuscan food for a fair price. Nice service by the owners and staff. Highly recommend. We had 2 pasta dishes and they were both excellent.

09/05/2025: We were the only clients in the restaurant so it was quiet and the only sound from the kitchen was… microwave. And it tasted as microwave food… misleading high rate in google this time… coperto 2 eur per person and not even olive oil was served to pizza… avoid this place.

02/05/2025: Tuvimos un gran tiempo aquí. La comida es excelente, vino también. Probamos 3 tipos de sándwiches, la mejor parte fue miel con tartuffo que puedes comprar para casa. Deberías venir aquí si visitas San Gimignano.

07/05/2025: Wollten zunächst an der Theke einen Kaffee und Capuccino bestellen, um dann aus dem lecker aussehenden Köstlichkeiten auszuwählen. Die Dame an der Kaffeemaschine - vermulich die Senior Chefin- verweigerte jedoch die Bestellung mit der Aussage: "Nur mit Essen." Das ganze in einem Ton, dass wir uns umgedreht haben und gegangen sind. --- Die sind schon reich. Die brauchen unsere Bestellung nicht und auch Freundlichkeit ist hier Luxus. - Also ein Grund, sich den Besuch dort zu überlegen. Es gibt noch andere Läden.

04/05/2025: We were in San Gimignano on May 2nd. We were looking for a place to drink a glass of wine and eat something. We stopped here, attracted by the fact that local kids were sitting at a table, a guarantee of a place that was not purely touristy. In fact it was a very welcome surprise!!! Excellent wine, delicious food and warm welcome. Compliments!!!

01/05/2025: Not only is the location prefect, with a breathtaking view across the valley to San Gimignano but the room was lovely and hospitality exceptional Francesca is a wonderful host full of useful local information such as restaurants and things to do and see in the town and provides a service second to none, along with her parents, who live in the building next to the accommodation. Francesca and her husband are residents of San Gimignano so can tell you all you need to know about the town They all combined to make our visit so memorable and we can’t thank them enough And breakfast in the sunshine with that view? Marvellous!’

26/04/2025: Amazing cooking class with Leonardo and wine tasting with Dario who were welcoming, polite and very informative. The whole experience was superb and the scenery of Podere La Marronaia is spectacular. Highly recommend and will be back next visit!!

22/05/2025: The place is family run and really welcoming, it feels like home. The attentive service and, even though it was full, the waiters were always smiling and available. The food was delicious, the Gran Tagliere with excellent local products, as were the first courses. The price was honest, considering the other places in the center. I absolutely recommend going there, I will definitely be back!

02/06/2025: Disaster the food except the pizza. The pizza is decent. Ravioli is not good, nothing inside. Suckling pig a bit cold. Not many variety although the pizza has a lot of variety. Risotto weird taste.

23/05/2025: Suprisingly bad for San Gimignano. Quasi creative, but really just ruined dishes. I have a feeling this is run just for quick money. The pastas had strange ingredients added that covered the main flavor, for example mushrooms in one ragu and olives in another. The baby got cold pasta with cold ragu. Visually not appealing. Also one of the more expensive lunches bottom line.
