31/03/2024: Excellent sandwiches. As for wines, I recommend the Vernaccia Selection, the others are too acidic for my tastes. After a tasting of a trio (blend, Chianti, Vernaccia Riserva) I left the place with an acidity in my stomach that I'm not used to. Bicarbonate is not included in the trio, unfortunately.

Elegant and discreet environment, staff of rare kindness and delicious dishes: bruschetta with cherry tomatoes and basil, spaghetti with artichokes and mint, tagliatelle with baked potatoes and coffee with cantucci biscuits. All excellent, served in a truly pleasant and relaxing environment. Highly recommended

Locale molto accogliente con pochissimi posti a sedere che offre un ottima varietà di vini accompagnati da bruschette di assoluta qualità. Abbiamo optato per la degustazione che permette di scegliere 5 bruschette a testa diverse: una più buona dell'altra. Menzione d'onore per la bruschetta con la lingua e quella con la salsiccia. Personale gentile e cordiale e prezzo in linea con la qualità degli ingredienti.

Locale elegante, con alcuni dettagli che rovinano la bellezza del posto (tanti ventilatori, che immagino necessari nel periodo estivo). Piatti molto curati: noi abbiamo preso una tagliata che si scioglieva in bocca, ma i cappellacci niente di eccezionale. Per concludere un tiramisù che ci ha lasciato l’amaro in bocca. Conto alto rispetto a quanto mangiato.

02/04/2024: 5 star experience. Baccano is the place to be in San Gimignano if you are looking for a proper Toscan hospitality and welcoming experience. Superb food at a family run restaurant with top quality and very adjusted prices. We were the last ones to leave the place as we were feeling like at home.

01/04/2024: We are from Rome, and there were 6 of us on April 1st 2024, we had 6 starters of 4 types, all very good and generous. We shared three mixed grills with chips, excellent meat and plenty of it. Both the waiter Giovanni and the owner were very nice. Total spend €150 with coffee and limoncello. Highly recommended.

03/04/2024: The food was ok - very dry bread served with the main meal. No condiments on the table. We had a salad and some pasta, small portions - maybe tourist size? But tasted ok. When we left we were charged €3 for napkins.. when I questioned the charge I was told it was for napkins and service is different. Overall, nothing special given there are so many others around, so I’d shop around before going here.

30/03/2024: Nice and kind of fancy atmosphere with nice attendants. Nice food, nice environment and fair price. We spent 73 euros for 2 carbonara, one ossobuco and half litter of the house wine. It was more than enough. We barely finished our food

10/01/2024: We stopped for lunch, intimate and welcoming environment, friendly waiters. Average dishes. Excellent desserts. The only flaw in my opinion are the tables that are too close together which gives the crowded and sticky effect.
