28/10/2025: Excellent service and lovely atmosphere in San Gimignano. I'll be dreaming of the beef tartare with caramelized onions — wild boar pappardelle, lamb chops, tiramisu and of course, wine were also all delicious. We considered going back again the next night to try all new dishes. Definitely a wonderful choice for dinner!

Ristorante Da Pode all' Hotel Sovestro

16/10/2025: A beautiful hotel with 40 rooms. Our room on the first floor (thanks for fulfilling our request) was spacious with plenty of room and a small west-facing balcony. The bathroom had plenty of counter space. Everything was very clean. The staff was professional and very helpful at the reception. The hotel's value for money was good, but we found the restaurant's price to be too high. Although it has been awarded a Michelin star in recent years, the food didn't impress us.
Therefore, it didn't give it full marks.

26/11/2025: Good evening, we discovered this restaurant by chance, and after the first night we returned, albeit with pleasure, the second. It's the restaurant we like: simple but superbly prepared ingredients, helpful but not invasive service. If we return to San Gimignano, this will definitely be our restaurant! We love you.
22/11/2025: Good food, but the quality-price ratio is poor. €75 per person for a set menu, and by the end you're almost still hungry, and a bit too much. Good service. Good food quality. Wrong price.

25/09/2025: We stayed at Villa Ducci in August 2025 (with our small dog). I can fully recommend Villa Ducci. The entire staff was always very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast buffet and dinner were excellent! Even our special dietary requests were accommodated. Our small dog was never a problem. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back.

10/10/2025: I would definitely come back if the communication was a bit better we ordered a starter for two thinking that it would cost us 28€ all together but after receiving the bill we felt a bit confused and unfortunately disappointed because of a language barrier. The wine is wonderful but the starter that we ordered was underwhelming and seemed a bit pricey for what we had initially expected. Overall service was wonderful but please check twice before ordering because we felt confused.
06/10/2025: This osteria is amazing! Amazing food (including tartare de Manzano, pizza, etc.) and a huge, fantastic wine selection at reasonable prices.
The service was fantastic, with Giuseppe being a very friendly and, above all, knowledgeable wine connoisseur. We'll be back... Best, Ines & Tom

06/10/2025: Average food. The sliced meat wasn't worth anything, but the pasta was very tasty. The place wasn't lively. The biggest downside was that they didn't have cold beer. They sold us a beer that was too cold, saying it was cold... Honestly, it kind of spoiled our dinner.
02/10/2025: A very pleasant lunch at Osteria San Giovanni. The dishes were excellent, but the waiter said the pasta was house-made, which I don't believe it was. In any case, the prices are good, and it was worth it.

02/11/2025: Reheated food!!
We ordered pici with ragù and they were clearly reheated: you could see it (as you can see in the photo), but more importantly, you could taste and smell it. When we asked for fresh pici, we were told that wasn't possible. Furthermore, the ragù wasn't the best, so its current rating is overrated.
26/10/2025: There were six of us, and we were all very happy with the food.
The flavors felt just like homemade — we’ll definitely come back next time we’re in town!

Unfortunately, prices are in line with inflation.
The food isn't bad; I especially recommend the first courses. We weren't entirely impressed with the cheeses.
08/11/2025: Molto buono! The lasagna was a bit different but it was amazingly good. As well as the steak.
The chef and staff are very accommodating. They even cooked something for my 20month old baby to enjoy.
I love that they have a baby station inside the bathroom which makes it easier for moms to change their babies' while visiting the beautiful San Gimignano.
Worth taking a reservation here!

08/09/2025: A beautiful vineyard with good wine and olive oil. We spent some time here on our way to San Gimignano and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it as a place worth visiting.
