02/08/2025: Yes, the view at sunset is beautiful. I came here for an aperitif. We had a bottle of prosecco, two Cokes, and a platter for €24... to me, the products were low-quality. The prosciutto seemed plasticized on the sides, and the bruschetta was mini-mini... it's bread... damn... give each person a slice, not half a tiny slice... Then we had prosciutto e coccole, and the quantity of prosciutto was also small... and I was shocked when I asked for fried chicken marinated in soy sauce for €12, which arrived very late... served on a miserable white plate with five mini pieces of fried chicken. The owner at McDonald's serves the same chicken with a salad and costs, I think, €2 or €3... A place that does a lot of tourist business, but pays little attention to detail. From the responses he gives to reviews, it's clear that the owner is unprofessional. I'm a local, so obviously I won't be coming back for an aperitif! Desolate!

15/06/2025: Buena ubicación. servicio razonable. muy ruidoso. comida mediocre. tenía costillas de cerdo que eran posiblemente las peores que he comido. embutidos italianos estaban bien, pero nada más allá de lo que uno compraría en un supermercado. la t - hueso / fiorentina también era apenas mediocre y yo diría que es un insulto al nombre del plato Mejor prueba algo menos turístico

12/06/2025: La vista era la mejor que había tenido en un restaurante! Solicite una mesa junto a la ventana al hacer su reserva o llegue temprano, espere afuera junto a la puerta principal y luego corra y tome una mesa junto a la ventana. La comida era buena pero no excepcional. Lo que no me gustó fue que no pudimos elegir el tamaño de nuestra bistecca toscana. Nos enseñaron un trozo de carne y cuando le dije a la camarera que era demasiado grande para nosotros, ella dijo que era eso. Así que, por supuesto, era demasiado grande para nosotros y terminamos dejando un montón de carne muy cara en nuestros platos.

02/06/2025: Intérieur joli, de caractère avec des vielles pierres. Un peu excentré par rapport à la foule (appréciable). Terrasse simple mais agréable. Foccacia ok, sans plus. Manque de goût et fort gras.

26/06/2025: Beautiful hotel located near San Gimignano. The location is perfect if you want to visit different villages and cities in the area. The breakfast is good and offers a variety of food - coffee, water, juice, fruits, salad, breads, eggs and pastry. We stayed in room 110 which has been fully renovated (I am not sure about the other rooms, but at least rooms 100-120 are fully renovated). The room is cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis, including new towels. The swimming area has also been upgraded with large, comfortable beds and parasols. In addition: some other areas have also been renovated, making it a much nicer place compared to some photos we've seen in the reviews from 2 years ago.

19/07/2025: This place is a great find. The food is excellent and the service is friendly and prompt. The wild boar and rabbit fresh pasta dishes were really flavoursome. We will definitely be back for an evening meal.

13/07/2025: A quaint restaurant on the town's main pedestrian street. Quick service, perfect for a quick bite. The pappardelle with wild boar ragù is delicious! However, the wine selection is limited, and €6 for a house Sangiovese is perhaps a bit too much. The desserts are good but a bit pricey (€7-8.50).

01/08/2025: One of the worst coffee experiences I’ve had in Italy. We ordered cappuccinos and croissants for breakfast. Not only was the service unfriendly, but we weren’t even given a receipt. After finishing my meal, I tried to use the restroom, only to find the door locked. A middle-aged woman with short blond hair rudely told me the toilet was for customers only. I calmly explained that I was a customer, but she demanded to see a receipt—in a patronizing tone—clearly unaware that her staff had never given us one. Unwelcoming, disorganized, and rude. Never again. If I could I would give no stars.

13/07/2025: The place is cozy and quaint, but the food and prices leave much to be desired. The menu is limited if you don't want toasts, which are expensive (€15 on average) for what they offer, although there's a lot of variety. The ravioli and lasagna are good, but very average; we weren't impressed with the quality at all. They charged us €10 for five slices of bread with olive oil, and the drinks are very expensive. The service is good.

23/06/2025: !!Tourist Trap Alert!! We paid €9 each for bruschetta and received a single slice of bread with a drizzle of olive oil and one lonely piece of garlic in the center—definitely not worth the price. While paying inside, I saw the chef preparing more bruschetta and casually sniffing the sausage before using it. After that, we were actually relieved we’d only ordered the plain version. Strongly recommend avoiding this place.

09/04/2025: Secondo me, questo posto vince per la miglior posizione in assoluto! Abbiamo fatto un aperitivo a pranzo, con ottimo vino e salumi/ formaggi con una vista bellissima! E prezzi onesti!

10/07/2025: Unfortunately, we were rather unpleasantly surprised by this hotel. We chose it after seeing their good reviews online, but the welcome we received was truly subpar. The place is absolutely charming and the staff friendly, with the exception of the receptionist, who is deceptively friendly, cold as a prison door, and completely rigid. This was the only hotel during our entire stay where we weren't even allowed a bottle of water per person in the room, and when I asked for one, she told me we had to use the ones in the minibar and therefore pay for it, even though we had booked the best room at €360 per night. Bravo for the sense of welcome and service! Check-in at 3 p.m. but check-out at 11 a.m. My husband kindly asked if it was possible to have a late checkout at 12 p.m. like in all the other hotels we'd stayed at: a categorical refusal from this unfriendly receptionist, who coldly referred him to the rules. The pool closes at 7 p.m. in the middle of summer! Every time we came back from a visit around 6:30 p.m. or 7 p.m., it was already too late, and the children couldn't swim anymore. On the last day after checkout, the children finally went to the pool to enjoy it a little before leaving, and then she told us that we were no longer guests of the hotel and that we weren't allowed to go in the pool. Shocking!!! Never before seen! Especially since there was absolutely no one in the water and only three people on the poolside loungers, even though she also claimed there were already a number of guests, even resorting to lies to justify the unjustifiable in terms of customer service! We have never been so poorly received in Italy, and even less so in Tuscany, where the people are particularly lovely. There is no restaurant in this hotel, and in the evening we have to go to dinner at the hotel next door, La Capuccina, where the reception staff are, however, lovely, especially the charming Gaia, who gave us a very warm welcome. Overall, it's a shame for such a beautiful establishment, and we don't plan on returning there one day or ever recommending it to anyone we know, as we felt so unwelcome despite the beauty of the place. Putting such a person at the reception desk of an establishment is a real casting error! Not to mention the equally restrictive rules put in place by the owner of the establishment, who, of course, is not on site to listen to customer feedback, which he probably cares very little about.

17/06/2025: Beautiful property and friendly staff. We stayed here for 6 nights with our 3 month old. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was great but the same options for 6 days got a little boring after some time. Also for food after hours you have to drive to town. One suggestion I would make is to add a coffee or tea maker in the room. It was advertised as the rooms have one but they don’t. A lot of early mornings I would have loved to enjoy some coffee/espresso on my balcony but did not have the option. And the Restaurant doesn’t open till 8am. Overall still great stay.

01/08/2025: Waited around 20 mins after getting the menues, no one came around, even after looking at us multiple times. We can spend our money elsewhere.

09/06/2025: Waren zum ersten Mal in San Gimignano. Am ersten Abend wurden wir in einem Lokal abgezockt. Sehr wenig auf dem Teller und teuer. Dann haben wir das Magnino entdeckt. Echt lecker. Vernünftige Portionen. Nettes und freundliches Personal. Wenn man nur etwas trinken möchte...kein Problem. Dann gibt es noch kleine Leckereien sowie Chips und Nüsse dazu. Wir können die schlechten Rezensionen nicht nachvollziehen. Preis / Leistung ist ok.
