17/05/2026: Nice place, there were two of us, and we got a table without having to wait. We had an appetizer with mixed crostini... delicious, and two slices of steak. The one with mushrooms was very seasoned and flavorful, while the one with arugula and parmesan... the meat was delicious, tender, and tasty. The only problem was that the arugula didn't have a minimum amount of seasoning, like in other places. The condescension was minimal. For dessert, I recommended the panna cotta, which was homemade and very tasty. The only flaw was the slightly slow service, but perhaps because there was a table of about twenty people in the other room. Perhaps that's why the two waiters, a man and a woman, neglected us a little. But aside from this, the staff were very knowledgeable. They also make pizza in front of you; it looked very topped and appetizing.

05/04/2026: We came tonight and were greeted late. We ordered pizza, a porcini mushroom steak, and wine. Everything was delicious, and the waiter was very welcoming. We didn't have to wait long, especially since it was late in the evening.

23/05/2026: Mega-disappointment. Extremely slow service, tiny portions on the children's menu, high prices, mediocre food. Slow, boring, tasteless. I don't recommend it to anyone. The service charge is included in the bill, but there was nothing to pay for. The service is sluggish.

22/05/2026: Visited for lunch. The two- or three-course set menu. The food wasn't great; the pasta was too al dente and tasted like packaged products. The dessert was good. I think the à la carte menu in the evening is better quality and more varied.

02/07/2026: Great products, including delicious fresh fruit, a wide selection, and everything is neatly arranged! And: very, very fair prices 👍🏻

23/05/2026: I ordered a 15-ounce pizza well in advance with 1 gluten-free one. When I went to pick it up, the gluten-free pizza hadn't been made and I hadn't been notified, so I was left without dinner.

22/03/2026: I stopped in at this restaurant today for an expresso. It wasn't a bar/cafe so they don't serve drinks without a food order. The gentleman saw the disappointment on my face and said, "ok, I'll make you one". He made this Canadian's day. Such kindness was very much appreciated by this lass!

28/02/2026: February 2026: Best pizza in Volterra. Crowded with locals who grew up with pizza. Interesting menu with many, many different interesting pizzas (none with pinepple and/or french fries). Moderate prices, friendly service.

30/04/2026: Delicious pizza, especially the light and fluffy crust. The salad and bruschetta were also superb. Unfortunately, despite the great weather in April, the terrace wasn't yet set up with tables and chairs. But the season here doesn't really start until May. The staff speaks Italian and English; for everything else, you just use gestures. 😄😇 It's definitely a great place to stop by the campsite and feel right at home. We ate there three times during our six-day stay with our campervan, enjoying delicious meals at a fair price.

02/05/2026: A little bar. Nothing more. Practically on the lake, but nothing special. Small, good service, average prices.

27/04/2026: We had a cappuccino and a coffee affogato at a table overlooking the lake (the only positive note). The cappuccino was full of bubbles and the coffee affogato was disgusting. My wife went to pay and came back telling me she spent €10.00 and didn't even get a receipt because the cash register wasn't working (I wonder how many people she told the same thing to). Avoid!!

02/06/2026: We went there for dinner. It was incredibly delicious and the staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

01/06/2026: I stayed at Villa Nencini in Volterra and had a truly pleasant experience. The relaxing atmosphere and panoramic location offer splendid views of the Tuscan landscape. The property is well-maintained and welcoming, with comfortable rooms and well-organized common areas. The restaurant was a real surprise: traditional Tuscan dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, served with courtesy and attention to detail. The outdoor pool is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city or the surrounding area. I highly recommend Villa Nencini to anyone looking for a rejuvenating and authentic stay in Volterra.

12/12/2025: I'll explain the reasons for my review: 1: You order a pizza but then you find a cracker in the box, 2: You order a marinara but there's no garlic or oregano on it. You go in and point it out to her, and the lady at the counter says "annoyed," but she didn't tell me on the phone! As if my marinara was any different from the usual. I go back a few days later and order a white pizza with sausage and a red pizza with sausage. On the white one, I find mozzarella, as it should be, but on the red one, only tomato and sausage. I go back in and point it out to her, and for the umpteenth time, the "annoyed" lady tells me I didn't tell her on the phone, as if the red pizza with sausage is normally without mozzarella! Now I ask myself, are you really pizza makers?

10/09/2025: Average restaurant, fast food at best. The cook smoking a cigarette behind the stove doesn't exactly inspire enthusiasm.

07/09/2025: The food was delicious. Fresh ingredients, well-seasoned. Nice atmosphere. Service was not very motivated.

20/01/2026: Best hotel for a winter visit. Warm rooms heated with geothermic power. The whole hotel is a cocoon of warmth and comfort no matter what the temperature outside. Breakfasts are simple but with home made nonna's style cakes. Well priced.

07/07/2025: 24.05.30 They made such a pizza and carbonara that our ears were ringing! I think it's a family business. A nice cold Peroni beer went with everything. We arrived early, nothing was open yet, around 5 o'clock in the afternoon, but they politely offered us a seat. Other diners were even spreading the tablecloth and looking at us like a pyromaniac at a wet straw. We sat down and could order, and we got it 10 minutes later, since it was just us. The pizza was heavenly, my son licked my carbonara and ate it up. Good place!!!***** And the point: we paid under 50 erika with more drinks for the 3 of us!
