During my travels, I had the supreme privilege of sitting at the table of this elegant banquet, where fish is treated with the respect due to sacred things. As my compatriot Pellegrino would have stated in his 1891 manual, cooking is naughty, but when it is based on raw materials of such sublime freshness, it can dispense true happiness.
The furnishings and aesthetics of the room are admirably decorous, offering a refined atmosphere that prepares the mind for a dinner from another era. Here, table hygiene, economy of expenditure, and good taste blend in perfect harmony, offering an experience of supreme well-being for body and spirit.
A solemn applause must be given to the young staff, capable of providing a warm and attentive welcome, making the diner feel pampered and divinely served. Among them, special thanks go to the steward Giovanni, a true master of the art of serving, without whose courtesy and wisdom the dinners at this osteria would not have the same splendor.
It's true that the final price accurately reflects the nobility of the food and the attentive service, but it is money spent with the finest judgment. The wallet feels a slight relief, but the stomach is heartily grateful, and the night passes in the most peaceful and digestible of slumbers. A must-visit that deserves the most sincere applause.
