A very serene, well-maintained atmosphere with attentive staff. The dishes were carefully presented, and the portions were tailored to personal taste. The dishes were delicious and delicate, without overdoing the flavor. It was a pleasure dining at this restaurant.

For me, Cabreo had taken on a special meaning in my heart, and beyond. It was my comfort zone when I wanted to eat something traditional, simple, and well-made in Viareggio. I won't deny that when I learned that Signora Iole and her daughter Elena would be ceasing their long-standing business, I was deeply saddened. So, as soon as I learned it was under new management, I immediately went there for lunch with great enthusiasm and high expectations, especially after speaking on the phone with the new owner, Signora Debora. The restaurant has remained virtually the same, but the walls have been freshened up, and both the furnishings and the tables have taken on more marine tones. But let's talk about the most important thing: the cuisine. Personally, I haven't noticed any differences from the past, and believe me, that's a sincere compliment. Even though the kitchen staff is different, the approach to the dishes is based on continuity with the past: simple, authentic dishes with clear flavors, without frills or unnecessary and misleading embellishments. The ingredients are of excellent quality, and the fish is delivered daily from trusted fishermen and suppliers. Table service, however, has significantly improved, and is handled both by the kind and courteous owner and by a highly experienced, professional, and reliable waiter, with extensive experience working at Viareggio's top restaurants. The wine list is interesting, with fair markups. The quality/price ratio is excellent, especially considering the ingredients used. In short, an excellent start for the enthusiastic new management, which bodes well for the rest of the adventure. Best wishes.

The highest quality! A truly historic restaurant in Viareggio: even by the sea, it's hard to find such fresh and well-cooked fish. The menu is varied; I've been several times and appreciate how short it is, but with just a few truly good dishes. Always friendly and genuine! The dishes are generous, not gourmet, and next time I'll take some photos. Highly recommended!
