30/05/2026: The menu doesn't match what you see online, neither in terms of dishes nor prices, and since I'm vegetarian, I only had vegetarian options for fried foods. The smell wasn't great, but the food was good and the staff was friendly.

17/05/2026: I've been to Bonobao several times and have always had a great experience. The place is small and cute, with a bench to sit on for drinks. The guys wrap everything up nicely, writing the names of the sandwiches on the foil and leaving the bag closed with a stapler so everything stays warm until you get home. Drinks are placed in a separate bag so the sandwiches don't get cold. The menu is super cute, in pure geek style, with Zelda, Kirby, Mortal Kombat-themed sandwiches, etc. If you don't want anything on the menu, you can create your own piadina or sandwich by writing on WhatsApp or directly on the spot in a notepad. You can order takeout (on your own or via Deliveroo) or dine in. The staff is kind and friendly, and always a pleasure to chat with. It used to be open later at night, but the city changed the hours. The phrases you find at the kiosk are fun, in true Lucca style. The only drawbacks are: - Parking, unfortunately, being at Giannotti, requires either paying or double parking near the kiosk, but be prepared to move it because there are people who rightly need to leave. - They rarely answer the phone at all. We've often had problems because we weren't sure if they were open. If you're passing by, no problem, but we live far away and making a waste of time isn't ideal. I understand, however, that if they're busy during a busy period, it's not easy to manage the phone, but they could call back or text once they're done (once, I got a response after a week and a half). Otherwise, it was a positive experience: good food for a quick snack, they can also make vegetarian sandwiches, and there's even a sweet piadina with Nutella for those with a sweet tooth.

08/04/2026: We were very pleased with the very friendly and helpful staff. Even on a day when they were supposed to be closed, we were served. There were four of us adults and a very welcome dog. Recommended for those who love Tuscan cuisine. The cuisine is vast and delicious.

01/06/2026: I had a seafood pizza where, instead of enhancing the flavor of the seafood with a good tomato sauce, it was literally covered by excessive mozzarella, completely obliterating its flavor. I had to remove it to enjoy it, and the seafood was nothing special anyway, and significantly less. My husband had a sausage pizza, also overloaded with mozzarella and barely any sausage. Finally, we had to put up with the guy at the next table who overbearingly started playing a Vannacci video at high volume, which I definitely didn't appreciate. I wanted to get coffee, but I avoided it.

31/05/2026: Wonderful and friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, and delicious food. We were in a hurry to catch a train, and Beata prioritized our arrival so we could make it on time. Highly recommended!

18/05/2026: One of the nicest bars/cafés. We always enjoy coming here. That was once the case… unfortunately, it's no longer our favorite bar in town. Significantly more expensive with worse service.

In addition to pizzas, you can order simple appetizers such as a selection of cheeses, a selection of cold cuts, or a mixed selection. We tried the mixed selection, which was a great way to start the meal. You can add ingredients to the pizzas or modify them based on allergies/intolerances. The best dessert, in our opinion, is the delicious tiramisu. It's definitely a lovely place to eat in the summer when it gets late and you can enjoy some fresh air away from the smog and traffic of the city.

25/08/2025: We stopped in Torre del Lago Puccini with our caravan and arrived at this place in the evening. We were warmly welcomed, and the playground was huge for a restaurant. Surrounded by greenery, it was truly beautiful. I had a delicious pizza, and the kids had a kids' menu. The price was super fair.

11/05/2026: We were supposed to go to another restaurant in the area, but it was closed for a private party. I asked the manager where I'd go for dinner. He sent me to Beppino, and I'd say he was right. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was the place I like: rustic but well-kept, the staff were kind and friendly, and the dinner was excellent, featuring traditional local products. I was also satisfied with the bill, which was very good value for money. So, what can I say? I'll be back when I'm in the area and will recommend it to friends and readers. Bye!
