14/07/2025: I found this place by pure chance, but it was a wonderful surprise and ultimately satisfying. The place is small but very well-kept, the waitress is incredibly helpful and kind, and the food is truly special, both in its deliciousness (the pasta alla norma was the best) and its abundance. I'll definitely be returning when I'm back... and highly recommended for anyone passing through or on vacation.

02/07/2025: Even arriving by motorbike as part of a group is a highlight: a huge selection of covered parking spaces. Thanks to the advance online check-in, we received a brief, warm welcome and then went straight to our rooms. They are very comfortably furnished and equipped with a great bathroom and comfortable bed. The service is super friendly and the food is excellent. The drive to the Sella Passes takes 30 minutes. After the tour, there is a cozy terrace with fantastic views and cool drinks served very quickly. We successfully tested the drying of wet motorbike clothes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a motorbike group.

09/07/2025: Words can’t express how VERAMENTE ECCEZIONALE (truly exceptional!) this experience was for my partner and me last night. We went all in with the tasting menu, a bottle of wine, and a digestivo to end — and I can honestly say it was the best dinner of our entire trip and well beyond. Chef Maurizio is inventive, authentic, and fun! Absolutely outstanding. His lovely wife was just as wonderful. We stayed until closing, and they welcomed us like old friends sharing music, stories, and great tips for the rest of our travels. We wanted to book again for tonight, but sadly they close on Wednesdays. We’ll definitely return to Syracuse with this unforgettable stop always in mind.

09/07/2025: Very rarely do you come across restaurants where every little detail is curated to perfection. From the moment you walk up to the restaurant from the street the colorful umbrellas and lights that decorate the restauraunts external terrace greet you along with an eclectic soundtrack gently playing through the speakers. On the inside the restaurant is a melting pot of vintage decoration pieces, paintings and furniture that all tell a story. To say it has character is an understatement. The restaurants owner Maurizio greets you with a smile and some friendly words as you walk in, take a seat, and keep admiring all of the restaurants decoration. Its as if the entire place is speaking to you and telling you to feel at home. Ive traveled the world extensively and have eaten in many of the world's greatest restaurants on most continents but when I discover gems like this place it makes me happier than dining at any world renowned establishment. In Japan, the most highly renowned style of cuisine, is Kyoto based Kaiseiki cuisine. Its a style of dining where every single element in the room and on your plate is meant to inspire a sense of zen. The ceramic for each dish is carefully chosen, the type of flowers and decoration in the room, the way every dish is presented at your table and every course is prepared to make you feel as zen as possible. Sicilian dining is not in any way Kaiseiki, but dining at Maurizios establishment felt like a joyful colorful Sicilian version of this all encompassing style of dining, all senses are stimulated in a blissful way. I highly recommend choosing the 4 course tasting menu, besides being able to taste a larger variety of dishes in one sitting, it will also include, as a bonus, Maurizio presenting each dish at your table with a few fun surprises. Restaurant owners who actively work the floor in their restaurants tend to have to repeat all their stories and conversations endlessly with every evenings customer which I imagine can get exhausting but Maurizio tells you about each dish, every item in the room and art piece decorating the walls with joy and excitement as if its the first time he's telling the story. Make sure to ask him about the big painting hanging on the restaurants wall. You cant miss it, its the center piece of the restaurant, and like its owner, it's story is comical, joyful and unique.

19/07/2025: More of a restaurant than a wine bar. Every dish is unique and high-quality. Excellent mussels with gorgonzola. Fried fish with the freshest fish and the lightest fried fish. The almond and chocolate desserts are delicious.

26/06/2025: We were looking for a place near home to have breakfast. Located right in front of Cala Rossa with a breathtaking view, this restaurant/cafeteria offers both sweet and savory croissants, granitas, Sicilian brioches... Fresh products and good coffee. Very kind and attentive staff. All young and "ALL ALL" available. Animals are welcome, we have always automatically received water for the dog. Not to mention the delicious cakes!! We bought a whole lemon one to bring to my parents who were pleasantly surprised by the goodness and freshness of this cake! What can I say, a highly recommended place! 31/05/2025: Am Weg zur Burg liegt dieses kleine Kaffee mit einer Vielzahl von Kaffeesorten in verschiedensten Röstungen. Ich habe die eigene Röstung gewählt und einen hervorragenden Kaffee erhalten. Dazu ein Cornetto con Crema. Eigentümer/Kellner sehr freundlich, sprechen gut Englisch. Am Weg zur Burg jedenfalls einen Abstecher wert.

06/07/2025: Worth every penny, an amazing location inside a deconsecrated church. The food was great and I highly recommend Pasta alla Norma and the Cannolo at the end. I will never forget how much I loved these 2 dishes.

02/07/2025: A high-level location in Noto, very particular from an architectural point of view because it was created from a crypt. A refined mix of ancient and modern. A little overpriced and overrated (like all of Noto) but then again the prices are displayed, it is useless to criticize the prices after eating. However, the dinner was very pleasant with a particular note of merit for the maitre, a person of taste and very nice.

08/07/2025: The oldest bar in the renowned ancient city of Syracuse. The Viola bar is like a heritage monument, and its layout is in keeping with its setting. The staff is very professional, and the outdoor veranda is beautiful and quaint.

Despite a small initial inconvenience with a bottle of wine gone bad, the staff handled the situation with extreme kindness and professionalism, making us feel truly at home. An experience that we recommend to those who want to taste the real Sicily, in a welcoming, quiet and authentic environment.

19/06/2025: Una vera scoperta! Questo ristorante di pesce è una garanzia per chi ama la qualità e i sapori autentici del mare. Il pesce è freschissimo, cucinato con semplicità ma con grande maestria: si sente tutta la cura e l’esperienza dello chef in ogni piatto. Abbiamo assaggiato i crudi, e la degustazione di cotti , i primi di mare, e i dolci e ogni portata era una sorpresa di gusto e leggerezza. Porzioni generose, ingredienti di prima scelta. Il servizio è stato cortese e attento, senza essere mai invadente. Atmosfera rilassata, perfetta sia per una cena romantica che per una serata tra amici. Se amate il buon pesce, questo è un posto da non perdere. Ci tornerò sicuramente (e molto presto)!

10/07/2025: What I probably dislike the most is the communication between the staff and the customers. Ask them to repeat in English and still only in Italian. But otherwise everyone is nice and the lady at the pool bar is always smiling and a pleasant person :) Breakfast not much and the restaurant in the hotel - we have had better food
