10/05/2026: I attended my niece's birthday/baptism party last night. Everything was perfect, from the welcome, to the impeccable service, to the fantastic food, and the wonderful location inside the beautiful Umberto I pizza place in Avola. It was my first time here, but I will definitely be back.

08/11/2025: Excellent food, good value. My husband and I had two excellent main courses with sides. I especially loved their onion, tomato, and basil roulade, which was truly delicious and flavorful. If you like these flavors, try it—you won't regret it! Fast service, very kind and friendly staff. Recommended!

15/05/2026: Antonello da Messina towers above all the rest, but it's a shame it's in such poor condition. I couldn't tell from the panels what great calamities it endured; it would be interesting...between the missing parts and the copious replacements, very little remains. The Angel's nose was badly restored; perhaps such a fundamental detail could have been given more consideration. Instead, the palace was greatly restored, the atmosphere intimate, and there was time to observe some interesting details.

25/04/2026: Even though it was a holiday, it closed at 12:30. It's a shame, especially since there were so many people around.

12/12/2025: Top pastry shop in Syracuse. A must-visit for breakfast, lunch, aperitifs, and catering...I highly recommend it.

05/03/2026: The location is great, but the rooms are awful... The bed was so hard it was impossible to sleep, and instead of a duvet, there was a sheet and a blanket thrown over it, which was completely unhygienic... The bathroom was large, but the shower was tiny - washing feet was impossible even for people of normal build like us... The water heater was tiny, so a shower for two people was out of the question - unless the woman decided not to wash her hair... The tiny window had bars like a dungeon... The hotel has potential because it's located in a beautiful place, but the interior was decorated terribly... Old Ikea furniture... Breakfast was a pleasant surprise compared to the rest of the stay... it was really good. The hotel photos on Booking.com don't reflect the actual conditions... I don't recommend it.

02/01/2026: Just checked out of Palazzo Landolina, we had a great stay. Rooms very clean, location fantastic, just across the road from Caffe Sicilia. The breakfast was amazing! Special thanks to Monica, Anna and Daniela!

06/09/2025: I had one of the best pizzas here. They have so many other equally delicious treats, all worth trying. The ladies behind the counter are truly kind. We ate in, and there's always a lot of people who order takeout, too, which is a great sign of the quality!

20/08/2025: I often visit this place for takeout pizza and rotisserie, and it never disappoints. The quality is always excellent: light, easily digestible dough, and truly well-balanced flavors. The combinations are original and incredibly flavorful. One aspect I really appreciate is the attention paid to non-meat eaters: there are excellent non-meat alternatives. This is a truly worthwhile stop, both for the quality of the products and the care with which they are prepared.

11/01/2026: Sicilian cuisine with influences, revisited in a creative and surprising way, with carefully crafted and never boring dishes. We had the dining room all to ourselves, an added bonus that made the experience even more intimate and enjoyable. The chef guided us through the dinner, explaining each course with great clarity, demonstrating passion and expertise, as well as genuine friendliness. At the end of the evening, we stayed for a very informal chat, and he even offered us a taste of a truly excellent local gin. A unique, welcoming experience, and highly recommended.

06/06/2026: At the entrance to Ortigia, an excellent seafood restaurant. Excellent appetizers and good first courses. Well-stocked wine list, attentive staff. Prices are reasonable.

06/06/2026: After the show at the ancient theater, even though it was late, they greeted us with a smile. Both the tagliolini allo scoglio and the pasta with swordfish roe were excellent. The courtesy of the waiter Ezechiele did the rest! Recommended

15/05/2026: Last night we ordered three Pizzoli and a pizza from this pizzeria... and we can say without exaggeration: a spectacular experience. You can immediately taste the difference of a real wood-fired oven, with a light, tasty dough, and truly made to perfection. The quality of the toppings is incredible: top-quality products and authentic flavors. The horse meat I tasted was simply exquisite... tender, flavorful, one of the best I've ever eaten. We ordered everything to go, and yet it arrived perfect. Furthermore, the staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, meeting our every need with a smile.
