21/08/2024: Abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per una cena a Siracusa, attratti dalle foto apparentemente invitanti pubblicate online. L’accoglienza è stata nella norma, ma già al nostro arrivo abbiamo avuto la sensazione che qualcosa non andasse. Il menu è piuttosto limitato, con prezzi sopra la media per la zona. Ho ordinato un antipasto, una caponata con mandorle, ma ciò che mi è arrivato era tutt’altro che una caponata siciliana: una terrina con una sorta di marmellata, dolciastra e assolutamente non commestibile. Ho chiesto spiegazioni e mi è stato detto che la cipolla caramellata è un ingrediente, ma il piatto sembrava più un dessert che un antipasto. Per primo ho scelto un linguino con vongole e bottarga, che si è rivelato mediocre e sicuramente non all’altezza del prezzo esorbitante di 25€. Giro spesso per ristoranti e non ho mai pagato tanto per una qualità così scadente. Per il vino abbiamo chiesto un rosé, l’unico disponibile sul menu, ma ci è stato detto che non era disponibile e ci è stato proposto un altro rosé, che però non era fermo e, come se non bastasse, è arrivato anche non freddo. Un’altra delusione. Mia moglie ha ordinato un linguino con pomodoro e pesce spada, ma il piatto era talmente carico di menta che sembrava di mangiare una granita. Alla fine abbiamo mangiato solo per fame, ma il conto di 80€ è stato assolutamente sproporzionato rispetto alla qualità offerta. A peggiorare ulteriormente l’esperienza, il conto ci è stato presentato come un semplice “preconto” e non come ricevuta fiscale, una pratica che sembra essere comune in zona, ma che è del tutto inaccettabile. In conclusione, ci siamo lasciati ingannare dalle belle foto pubblicate dal proprietario, che risalgono al 2015, ma basta guardare quelle recenti dei clienti per capire quanto sia scaduto il locale. Un’esperienza deludente che non consiglio a nessuno
