23/01/2026: We had an amazing experience at the ice cream shop in Casa del Gelato in Fontana Bianca! The staff are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us, even assisting with buying bus tickets and giving great tips on the best local spots to visit. The atmosphere is lovely, making it a perfect place to relax. The coffee here is hands down the best in the area, and the fruits are not only fresh but absolutely delicious. The croissants are also a must-try, they’re perfectly baked and super tasty. We visited in August when it was around 25°C, which made enjoying everything even more delightful. I would highly, very highly recommend this shop to anyone visiting. Five stars all the way!

25/10/2025: Very warm welcome, the lady is very kind and speaks French fluently. The coffee is good, the brioches too and the cannoli are generous. A small selection of ice cream flavors but our children enjoyed the chocolate ice cream. We had breakfast there every day.

06/08/2025: A small pizzeria, but in addition to pizza, it also serves other local dishes, such as arancini. This was the first place we went to eat after arriving in Syracuse. The Google reviews and the proximity to our apartment (a few minutes) were important factors, but we didn't regret it. The pizza was delicious, as were the arancini. We even went back there just to buy bread. Giovanni, I think, was the name of the gentleman who served us – smiling and helpful, which, combined with the food, gives us five stars.

07/03/2026: Good food, but for me personally too expensive, now any excuse is good to raise the prices, I'm not the type to create inconveniences but I advise the company to create a detailed price list because if you take someone who likes to argue they won't pay you if you don't have the detailed prices of what you order also because the law requires it, surprise prices are not given at the checkout

07/03/2026: My husband and I had dinner this evening. I have to say the food is good and the quality is excellent; I have nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, however, the prices are incredibly high and, in my opinion, completely disproportionate to the market. Using the excuse of price increases and the war, they even overcharge for add-ons: for example, adding porcini mushrooms costs €5. Furthermore, the wait times are very long: we waited over an hour for two pizzas. A small piece of gelatin, which you'd normally pay around €3, here sells for €12 for maybe 100 grams. In conclusion, yes, the food is good, but I personally don't recommend it. We won't be returning. There are places around with much more reasonable prices. With these prices, honestly, it's better to eat at home: a pizza shouldn't become a luxury. After paying the bill, given the high price, I even felt a bit heartburn.

30/09/2025: Had some chicken and it was a go to for locals and tourists like me. Very simple, moist and hit the mark. Was sold out in the first instance so they are clearly very good or do not cater for enough traffic (even though the place is sleepy )

09/09/2025: We had a wonderful experience here! The staff brought the chicken to our table and prepared everything for us outside—such kind and thoughtful service. Everything was done with a smile, and we felt truly welcomed. With Google Translate and a few gestures, we got by just fine. 15/08/2025: After ordering four granitas and four brioches, our order arrived 15 minutes later with only the granitas (which were already melting). After another 10 minutes, the brioches arrived (we had kindly asked for them to be reheated, but they were cold). The result: we ended up with melted granitas and cold brioches; the complete opposite of what we had planned. Not recommended!!!

14/10/2025: Came here on a whim. Best pizza I’ve had in Sicily! We actually came back again! That’s how good it was! Can’t wait to return when we visit Sicily again!

19/08/2025: I found this place by chance, nothing special.... They told me on the phone that I could choose inside or outside upon arrival, but then they chose outside on a veranda, as they said!!! There are lamps overhead that give off heat and there is no air conditioning or ventilation. These open lamps are full of flies that fall onto the plates.... happened to my daughter. The bruschetta appetizer consisted of 2 fresh breads and 2 non-fresh ones, very hard. The pizzas were the same as those in Sicily (hard-boiled eggs everywhere), but the ingredients were fresh. I wouldn't recommend it, everything needs improving, even the welcome they give to local moms.

08/12/2025: A small trattoria in the heart of Ortigia. The staff is welcoming and very friendly, and the food is excellent and very fresh. Ideal for a lunch break, before or after a stroll through the beautiful streets of Ortigia. The prices are fair and average.

11/10/2025: Incredible meals, pristine fish and pasta quality, cozy atmosphere that feels like home, plus friendly cats in an open patio. A hidden gem of Syracuse.
