Antonello da Messina towers above all the rest, but it's a shame it's in such poor condition. I couldn't tell from the panels what great calamities it endured; it would be interesting...between the missing parts and the copious replacements, very little remains. The Angel's nose was badly restored; perhaps such a fundamental detail could have been given more consideration. Instead, the palace was greatly restored, the atmosphere intimate, and there was time to observe some interesting details.

02/04/2026: We visited this restaurant while staying at a resort down the street and wanted to try something a little different, I’m so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, this family owned spot made us feel incredibly welcome and guided us with great recommendations. I ordered the spaghetti with scampi, and it was truly some of the best pasta I’ve had in the two weeks we’ve been traveling through Italy. My husband had the seafood spaghetti, which was just as impressive, light, fresh, and perfectly balanced with a citrus garlic sauce. Thank you for the warm hospitality and an unforgettable meal. We’ll absolutely be recommending this place to others visiting the area.
