12/08/2024: Dining in this restaurant is a unique experience. All the raw materials are excellent, the dishes very refined. The staff is very attentive to every detail and made us feel pampered all evening. We will be back soon :)

27/08/2024: Bad Bellini, no air conditioning, unfriendly waitress and 10% tip is automatically charged. Sandwich (pannini con prosciutto) was dry. Instead of water with gas, we got water without gas.

08/08/2024: In terms of cocktails, it's perfect: choice, good ones and reasonable prices. On the other hand, the dishes are really excessively priced for the quantity.

16/08/2024: The food was delicious, especially the grilled sea bream, which was very tasteful! The sardine fries with pine and raisins weren't particularly good for me. The food came with a 30 minute wait and the service was friendly.

15/08/2024: Go there for the kitchen. Doesn't look like much from the outside. No air conditioning. Small terrace on the side in addition to tables on the road. A bit of a wait but ultra fresh and mouthwatering for those who love fish. The tuna is very good. Pasta dish for children at 6 euros.

20/03/2024: We have been to eat pizza in this place several times with my girlfriend during a week in August and I can say that it is by far the best pizza in the country, a pleasant certainty and a point of reference for our future travels. The prices are honest, the service is fast, the girl who serves is very smart and that's why you have to book to find a seat. Well done.

27/08/2024: Excellent experience. We were welcomed by Alessia who guided us in choosing the food and wine. The mixed starter and the two first courses we took were excellent. I particularly appreciated the swordfish roll and the pasta with scorpion fish. The wine, Cataratto dell'Etna, is also excellent. We will return on our next visit to Ortigia. Well done!!!

22/08/2024: Atmosphere: Almost perfect dining experience but for 2 things. We can walked in on an August evening without reservation and were accommodated by the owner/maitre de. This is a small family owned and run restaurant. Husband manages the front and wife is the chef. Food: This restaurant serves FRESH seafood if that’s what you’re craving for in Ortigia. We ordered the mixed appetizer and it was amazing. 10/10! For main course, we had vegetarian pasta (not on the menu) and whole Red Snapper prepared Sicilian style (steamed w capers, olives and tomatoes). This dish was 8/10 only because the fish was not properly descaled. Taste and presentation were great. Service: 8/10 Our server wasn’t attentive beyond dropping off the food. The owner came once to check on us after the appetizer was served. I had to get up and ask for some salt and pepper. Price: Bit on the high side. €48 for the whole snapper. Our total tab with 3 dishes, water and a glass of of wine was €100.

02/08/2024: Our experience was not as good as expected. The location in an interior courtyard is very pleasant. The service is friendly. The cocktail was passable (for example the mojito was made with lemon juice and not lemon crushed with mint). On the other hand, we didn't like the food. We had a charcuterie cheese board and a tomato and ricotta foccacia as well as a cheese bruschetta. The cheese bruschetta was very good but we didn't like the rest. The cheese and cold meats didn't seem to be of very good quality. It seems to us that you can find better value for money elsewhere.

24/08/2024: Excellent time at Cala Piada. Welcomed by a very warm Frenchman, we were pampered, table prepared outside while we received advice on choosing in French, local and excellent products. Everyone is very attentive and it was a perfect and inexpensive lunch break that was offered to us. Specialty between sandwich and panini with homemade bread and a huge choice. Salads etc. Far from the tourist trap restaurants we recommend!!!!

16/08/2024: They charge for service when in reality you are paying to be able to sit at a table, because no one is going to serve you. That is, you pay for self service. Furthermore, they don't let you pay by card if there is no minimum consumption, something that no longer happens even in the smallest store in the most remote place. In my opinion it is just another place, opened by a speculator, with zero reasons to recommend in a place as beautiful as Ortigia.

06/08/2024: We had dinner last Saturday at this place! Everything was really good and the prices were normal! For a nice generous portion of french fries, a parmesan pizza and another tricolor pizza we spent 24 euros. Approved!

29/07/2024: Had an Aberdeen burger with Black angus meat and it was some very finely chopped and delicious meat, such a good steak. The waiters were fantastic and the hygiene did not disappoint in any way

13/08/2024: Good good good. Excellent dishes, right portions. The staff is very welcoming and wonders come out of the kitchen! I wish I lived close by so I could go more often! Non-trivial and refined cuisine, top quality ingredients. Truly highly recommended!!!
