14/07/2026: A truly wonderful experience.
First of all, the setting is magnificent; dining in the courtyard is pure bliss—beautiful, authentic, and full of flavor.
The menu itself is equally delightful.
Three daily specials featuring ultra-fresh ingredients, and then a selection of well-executed, flavorful, and superbly presented à la carte dishes.
The wine list is also excellent; the Sicilian rosé from Mount Etna is a pure marvel—fresh and perfectly crafted.
The only downside is that you need to book well in advance, but that's the price of success.

Le sorelle bandiera

06/08/2026: As they say, you have to experience Syracuse at least once in your life, and the restaurant Le Sorelle Bandiera is a must-try.
It's a true Sicilian trattoria, where you feel more like you're being welcomed into a friend's home than a restaurant.
You'll be itching to come back and try another dish.
Thanks to the three sisters!

The menu is full of delicious options, especially seafood.
The owners are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to offer suggestions on the dishes.
The restaurant is small, intimate, and meticulously crafted.
I personally recommend the "pasta alla disgraziata," a recipe passed down from generation to generation.
I recommend this place near Ortigia.

Very good pizzas! We got takeout the first time and loved it so much we went back. Special mention for the Margherita, which was delicious. The only slight drawback: the pizzas could be a little bigger for this pizzeria to reach perfection. Grazie mille!

28/05/2026: While passing through Noto, the owner of the Antico Trappeto agricamper recommended this restaurant to us. The location is very special, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent and high-quality. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.
28/05/2026: Hidden on a small street 10 minutes away from the proper touristic centre.
Beautiful courtyard of a seemingly old house, with maybe a dozen tables, exactly what we expected to feel in a charming small baroque (in the centre) city of Sicilly.
Great food, good wine, very good nonintrusive service.
So good I am almost afraid to advertise it.
Bravo!

06/08/2026: A fantastic experience in the heart of Ortigia! We enjoyed a platter filled with typical Sicilian specialties, all of excellent quality and passionately presented by the staff, who explained each product to us, making the tasting even more special.
The wine was excellent, perfectly paired with the flavors of the platter. And to top it off, a cannoli with authentic sheep's ricotta... simply spectacular, one of the best I've ever had!
The staff were welcoming and attentive to detail. If you're passing through Ortigia, this place is a must-visit for a true taste of Sicily. Highly recommended!

14/07/2026: "Caught cleverly" by Mr. Gaetano, we hesitantly enter the restaurant. The place is well-maintained, without any stylistic flaws. The welcoming greetings, accompanied by spontaneous smiles, and the typical Sicilian menu convince us to take a seat. Warm bread bites with oil and vinegar (on the house), mixed fried fish, egg fusilli alla norma, caponata, pasta with tomato sauce and French fries: all delicious, no complaints. We didn't have room for dessert, but the sweet couscous piqued our interest, so we must return. A digestif is offered. Prices are reasonable. A pleasant final chat with the lovely Mrs. Carola is a pleasure. Those lucky enough to linger beyond the main course can try it for themselves.

13/05/2026: We had checked the reviews beforehand and then went to the restaurant. The appetizer was fine, but the main course, at €19, was a real disappointment – just ordinary mashed potatoes, ordinary octopus, and a generic salad in that portion size? The service was okay, but they didn't ask if we wanted dessert. I have no idea if it's normal in the area that they don't ask if we want anything to drink after the main course.
