Delicious, perfect. We ordered several dishes and none disappointed. I'm not giving it 6 stars because there aren't any. I loved it.

We had checked the reviews beforehand and then went to the restaurant. The appetizer was fine, but the main course, at €19, was a real disappointment – just ordinary mashed potatoes, ordinary octopus, and a generic salad in that portion size? The service was okay, but they didn't ask if we wanted dessert. I have no idea if it's normal in the area that they don't ask if we want anything to drink after the main course.

Very disappointing. Very hard to book, with high expectations, recommended from a sommelier friend in Milan.
Francesco gave us a warm welcome, but he was completely overwhelmed working alone in a large room full of American tourists (which is exactly what we did not want).
As many other reviewers have noted, the portions are extremely small for the prices.
The wine list is short but fairly priced (roughly 2x retail markup, which is genuinely honest). That's the one bright spot.
Food was ok, but underwhelming. Service was bad, timing was VERY bad. Prices are unjustly high for what you get.
Very sadly, NOT recommended.

A small trattoria on a street off the beaten path, it proved to be a truly perfect choice.
Family-run, with a short menu featuring top-quality ingredients and a wide selection of wines.
The food was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning so as not to overpower the flavors of the ingredients.

Why you shouldn't miss this restaurant tucked away on a small street in Ortigia: for the quality of the food, prepared by the owner herself; for the warm welcome and helpful advice from the owner; and for the discreetly efficient and friendly service! A word of warning: if you're tempted by dessert (and you'd be right to be, because they're excellent!), don't eat too much beforehand! Bravo and a thousand thanks to Francesco and Patrizia.

Excellent food! Really creative and original cuisine with wonderful flavors! Nice environment, friendly staff! However, if you are from Greece, ask for the pasta to be boiled 2 minutes longer!
