Family restaurant, good treatment and good product. We loved the pasta with hedgehog (the best pasta we had on our entire trip to Sicily) and the antipasti. Great quality/price

Very well run family restaurant. Francesco is very friendly and presents the menu as well as the fresh fish with great expertise. The food was very tasty and you feel very comfortable. Nice ambience. Highly recommended especially for fish lovers.

Small but welcoming family-run restaurant in the center of Ortigia where you can enjoy excellent fresh fish: the first courses on the menu are few but delicious and the homemade desserts are superlative. The staff is friendly and helpful and I really appreciated the fact that the wine selection did not have a monstrous mark-up as is now often common in restaurants. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back.

Simple, family atmosphere with excellent traditional cuisine. Very fresh and well cooked fish, just a little expensive (45 each fish of the day for two, with just one starter and one dessert shared)

Lovely place, great food, everything super good, fresh and tasty. The family management of Francesco and Patrizia is the gem, they are welcoming and make you feel at home. The food is really very good. Super recommended!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a nice visit. Owner is happy to explain everything about dishes and fish available on that day. Menu is simple and this is the way it is supposed to be when everything is fresh and made before serving. This is a typical fish restaurant and you will not find many alternatives if you are not feeling like eating fish. I disliked that fish was fried with husks and they got burnt. Smell of burnt destroyed my experience of eating quite good fish. Antipasti selection was vey nice, with good you will not find anywhere else like zucchini fondant with cheese sauce. Very good tiramisu.

If you are in Ortigia then this Trattoria is an absolute MUST!!! The seafood on offer is "simple" (in that there are no false sophistications) but cooked to perfection and every ingrediant is so fresh that it's practically "alive". On top of this the host is not only helpfull but also ready to bend over backwards to help out with allergies and dislikes and is ready to modify the menu to suite just such a problem. Definitly a jewel in the middle of the city.

05/04/2024: Small and familiar place but tremendously pleasant. Excellent service with good quality dishes and off-menu suggestions of the day. The boss is approachable and shares fantastic recommendations on the less touristy areas of Syracuse that are worth visiting.
05/04/2024: Fantastic fried fish, we had ravioli stuffed with fish with lemon fish sauce and lobster pasta. The service was excellent!

04/04/2024: Overall, we had an OK (on the level of a Michelin star restaurant) experience at this restaurant. We had the meat 5-course tasting menu. The first amuse bouche was excellent: a “fake” oliver with lots of aromas inside. The following two dishes (egg with truffle, artichoke) were nothing special and even lacked some flavour. The Primo pasta dish was very good, as well as the Secondo main dish, although not much can go wrong with the goulash-type of sauce for this kind of dish. The dessert, cannoli with ice cream, was very good but again, lacked a bit of creativity for a michelin star restaurant.The service was so-so: they first couldnt find our reservation and had to spell out the name twice; they seem to have never heard of sharing one wine pairing menu with two (1/2 a glass each), as we are moderate drinkers, which is very common for this level of restaurants; and at the end they forgot to pass by to ask if we wanted any coffee or tea, so we just paid and left.
03/04/2024: Amy wife and I went on the off season so it was easy to get a mid-week table. The food was traditional Sicilian food done to an exceptional level with a bit of theatre built in. The service was great. The atmosphere was very pleasant especially for privacy, I have marked it down purely on personal preference for a more active environment.
