02/12/2025: We trusted the reviews and we're so glad we did! What a wonderful time! The welcome was incredibly warm. We ordered the antipasti platter, then the pasta of the day with black pork sausage, followed by the fish of the day (a very generous portion), and finally a tiramisu. Everything was delicious! The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely. The owner speaks French, and we shared memories of Provence. Her husband is in the kitchen. Thank you again to everyone for this wonderful evening!

05/12/2025: Visited Seby – L'Osteria on our first night in Ortigia, and it set the tone perfectly. The atmosphere was cozy and rustic, creating a warm, romantic vibe, and the service was both friendly and professional. Tried one of my all-time favorites — Linguine alle Vongole — and it was exceptional: fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of clean, briny flavor. 23/11/2025: We had an absolutely incredible Sunday lunch here. They serve fresh seasonal dishes in November, and since the menu updates seasonally, I'm sure they present the best of what's available whenever you visit. While early in the season, the Carciofi Ammuddicati (artichoke hearts) were delicious—topped with crispy breadcrumbs and served in a decadent, more-ish Pecorino cheese sauce. The oranges in the Insalata di Arance (fennel and orange salad) were deliciously tart and juicy. For our pastas, the Cacio e Pepe con Gambero was out of this world. The Spaghetti alla Siracusana was a delightful, rich mix of anchovies and peppers, which melted down into a rich savory sauce, finished with toasted breadcrumbs, and served with perfectly al dente pasta. We were very happy to choose this restaurant for our one "treat ourselves" meal in Sicily. It was 100% worth it.

29/10/2025: Dinner at fish bar ortigia was very nice. Fresh gamberoni grilled, fritura calamari also very good. A quiet place a bit outside the busy city. Emily Service and accomodating for portions for kids.

19/10/2025: We dined here on 3 occasions as we were staying in the hotel, even though we had plenty of options in the area, this was one of the best restaurants around. The service was outstanding. The food was always fresh, beautifully presented, and of the highest quality.

Having tried almost all the restaurants in Porto Palo, I can say this is the best for food, service, and quality!

01/10/2025: Not a fan. Ordered the tagallini with prawns, expecting regular size prawns. Instead the dish was filled with overcooked tiny baby tiger prawns. Not good. My husband ordered the tuna. Would not recommend if you’re used to a tuna steak. It was a poor piece of paper- thin tuna that was medium rare on one side and well done on the other. The owner was rude when we told him that we were disappointed with the tuna. He told us that he would have to charge us double if we wanted a new piece of medium rare tuna. With so many good restaurants in Syracusa, find another place to eat.

13/10/2025: Good food, excellent informal location overlooking the sea, friendly and helpful staff. A wonderful discovery. One suggestion: I would add a few more vegetarian dishes.

02/11/2025: Among the restaurants on Ortigia, we were pleasantly surprised here too. The portions are large, the waiting time and service are average. Let's look at the dishes. Spaghetti carbonara - the sauce was too thin and salty for us, we would rate it 3.5/5. Fritti fish mix - 5/5, the portion is enough for 2 people (according to our appetite). The fish was tender, octopus and squid were in the right consistency and quantity. We couldn't even finish it, so we asked for a takeaway box. They were attentive and didn't forget to put the lemon in it. Veal with lemon and orange - 4/5, the texture of the veal was not bad, but it didn't stand out. The sauce - although it was strange to us - was tasty. We will visit them again for lunch next time, and try the other dishes. The table next to us had boiled mussels, which were also very nicely served. Oh, and the bill is also more favorable than in the interior of the island or even in the market.

I personally ordered: octopus on creamed potatoes and sweet and sour red wine as an appetizer; spaghetti with clams, shrimp, and Bronte PDO pistachios as a main course; and a glass of white wine (Grillo from the Rapitalà cellars). The portions are generous, the place is very charming, the staff is friendly and welcoming, the quality and deliciousness of the food is exceptional, and the price is fair. Highly recommended!

19/11/2025: We had a wonderful evening here. We booked online, everything went smoothly, and we got a table right away. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, and the chef himself even came out a couple of times to check if everything was alright. We felt completely comfortable and welcome, and the food was truly excellent.

15/11/2025: I have come to this restaurant the last 2 nights since coming to Siracusa. Mirko and his people have treated my wife and I like family. The food is unbelievable.....the best Burrata in Sicily....I have had the Sea Bream served table side as well all the crusted swordfish....both the best I've ever eaten. So, this may sound like most reviews....but Mirko has stopped at our table explaining which wine, which fish, which dish as prime and segundi.....and served them with love. Tomorrow night, as my wife and niece go to a cooking class I plan on eating there again as a single...knowing that a feast is in store. This made Sicily.....

04/10/2025: Me and my sisters went to this restaurant yesterday and omg where do I start! The restaurant was fully booked when we arrived yet the owner managed to find us a table to accommodate 5 of us. The owner Simone was amazing from the outset his service was excellent he was very accommodating and sweet. We ordered many different dishes which were all delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant especially if you’re a seafood lover like us. 10/10

03/10/2025: The meal was tasty, the service was quick and welcoming. However, was charged more for servise than advertised and found the aperol spritz more pricey for 8 euros than elsewhere.

24/10/2025: Exceptional experience. We had a wonderful meal!! The owner is truly friendly and helpful. The ravioli are superb, as is the swordfish. The baked ricotta is a special highlight. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent. See you next time!
