26/05/2026: Best pasta I’ve had in Ortygia/Siracusa hands down. I’ve been looking everywhere for some more versatile flavors and their aglio e olio with chili peppers was truly so so AMAZING. Never had something that tasted like that. The flavor and spiciness of the chili peppers was infused into the sauce and it was creamy and flavorful and fresh and just fantastic overall. Also, the staff was so so friendly and made conversation with us which really made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic and you could tell they loved what they did and did it well.

11/06/2026: We tried their granita, followed by canolo therapy. Both were majestic, easily the best experience of canolo among those we tasted in Sicily. And the best of all, we felt like coming to a Sicilian family.

13/07/2026: We've been in Sicily for a few weeks. We are a large group of 14 people, kids and adults. I must say, this is by far the best restaurant we've been too. There was something for everyone. The Massara pizza and Salmon were my personal favourites. The owner was extremely personable and made sure it visit was spectacular. The ambiance was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant

09/07/2026: It didn't meet my expectations. The place is very nice, but I didn't find the food exceptional, and the prices tend to be high. I think there are places in the area that, while more rustic in style, offer tastier pizzas and fried foods.

25/07/2026: Courteous and helpful, excellent traditional food beautifully presented with some interesting innovations. Refined, carefully prepared, yet authentic cuisine. Excellent value. A comfortable atmosphere and tastefully decorated venue in keeping with the culinary offerings.

09/05/2026: The food is excellent and served with great kindness. I tried the delicious lupini tempeh with seasonal vegetables and kimchi, and for dessert I had a chocolate mousse with dates. They also brought me whole-wheat bread and organic olive oil. Highly recommended!

08/05/2026: A vibrant place. They are food artists if you ask me. The vegan carbonara was so creamy and tasteful. Friendly and knowledgable staff with a real passion for good vegan food and wine.

08/04/2026: Absolutely outstanding. Omg. Service, food, vibe. I cannot recommend highly enough. The filled pasta was out of this damn world, carbonara was rich and the cannoli: Creamy ricotta, crunchy shell, silky ganache. To top it off, there is a cute little meow you can snuggle 😍. Go support this place. It's totally worth it!

13/06/2026: At Via Trento 14, in the heart of Ortigia, on a cool June evening we discovered a true gem of Sicilian dining. We love and know Sicilian cuisine well. But "Ci Voleva" truly surprised us with its combination of professionalism, constant yet extremely discreet customer service, and the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Francesco welcomed us with a beautiful smile. We sat outside, and the wait was very short. I greatly appreciated Francesco's care in suggesting a pairing with the freshest octopus, having the chef prepare a cream that took into account some of my intolerances. My husband chose the linguine alla Ragusana. Ecstasy! During our stay in Syracuse, we will return (the restaurant opens continuously at 10:30 am) to enjoy the extensive menu once again and to meet Giusy's smile once again. Last but not least, excellent value for money. ..."It was needed" ..."It was worth it"!!!
