10/08/2024: We had a great time in this restaurant! I enjoyed a perfectly cooked octopus, while my husband enjoyed seafood pasta. For starters we opted for the arancini as well as the polpo alla Luciana. These were great! The products were impeccably fresh and the flavors simply exquisite. Every bite was a real treat. There was a bit of a wait for the service, but that really doesn't weigh heavily on the exceptional quality of the dishes. 17/08/2024: Crazy sandwiches! These delicacies are unmissable and will satisfy even the most demanding palates! Excellent product quality! Difficult to choose between the various truly gourmand proposals! I opted for a burger with cheddar and bacon, what a great deal, even the bun was delicious!

17/08/2024: Let's start from the assumption that they already deserve a visit just for the kindness, courtesy and dynamism of the staff, but do we want to talk about how good the products they make are? Gourmet sandwiches with a quality/price ratio, where the quality far exceeds the price, prepared with fresh and excellent products. In short, if you are in the area, don't hesitate to stop there, it's 100% worth it.

10/08/2024: Great expeirence, not to miss this spot when you’re in Ortigia. They served us cheese selection with local jams, but prepare it according our suggestion. Also try local wine 😀 Service was excelent, atmosphere amaizing and foooooddd delicious!

09/08/2024: We stayed in a place near by and had our first breakfast here at Fratelli Burgio. We thought about checking out other places but the food, the coffee and the service was so good that we stuck with this place for our whole stay. The sandwiches are amazing but also the baked goods and the coffee is also lovely. Everything is fresh and the servers are super nice and attentive, if you ever go to Ortigia check out this place and you won’t be disappointed.

L'atmosfera conviviale, la passione , la ricerca degli ottimi ingredienti locali fanno di questo ristorante uno degli ultimi avamposti di cultura del cibo . La location è inoltre degna di nota poiché Il piano inferiore del locale è una grotta . Prezzo adeguato alla qualità.

26/05/2024: A hidden gem on a narrow one-way street in Lentini, A Maidda serves up a wonderful dining experience that I'm fortunate to have stumbled upon. Beyond the front section and its tables are tunnels which Executive Chef Salvatore says was used by Greeks of antiquity to escape enemies when the city was under attack. Today, they keep wine safe from Sicily's summer heat; a no less important task. I went with a few friends and left the evening's selection to the Salvatore. He presented a four course meal that began with an antipasto of seasonal vegetables: Pepperoni, caponata, zucchini, and artichoke hearts amongst others. A trio of pasta dishes followed as the primi: fusilli flavored with pesto, pistachio, and eggplant with mint. Sausages of wild pork drizzled with balsamic came out next as the secondi. Traditional Sicilian cannoli were dessert with a digestif homebrewed by the chef from a native plant that struck me as a cross between wild sage and mint. It was sweet, but strong. Imbibe responsibly. And naturally, espresso was served last because drinking coffee at 11pm is what Italians do. When in Rome I guess. It was a lovely meal and I intend to return soon to try the chef's speciality, linguine with blood orange and tuna.

21/08/2024: Superb experience with beautiful taste associations specific to the region. A very fine selection of organic/natural wines that will satisfy even the most picky eaters.

20/07/2024: Perfect ice cream, the fruit ice creams were icy but the pistachio and straciatella were tasty and good. The staff was not very service-oriented, but it was probably because they didn't know English.

18/07/2024: Excellent gelateria! I recommend their pistachio granite (an Italian slushy). We also ordered the Sicilian pistachio ice cream and tangerine ice cream. They were all delicious! The staff speak English and explain the flavors. It is a must if you are in the town. A small portion costs about 3-4€. You can get two flavors.

08/08/2024: Wide choice of dishes, all equally inviting, among which we recommend the calamari... truly magnificent! The fish is very fresh and masterfully cooked. The wine list is also excellent. Very trained, honest and pleasant waiters. The only flaw: the environment was a little too hot. Overall, a highly recommended experience (and one to be repeated :))!

06/08/2024: One of the best dinners of my life! Friendly and helpful staff. The first courses were superb (Paccheri with swordfish and Paccheri with seafood), but the second course (tuna with corn breading and caponata) truly left us speechless! Furthermore, a very good white wine was recommended to us and the decomposed cannoli with which we finished dinner was also a wonderful surprise. We will definitely be back, we recommend it!
