23/04/2026: We had a wonderful and reasonably priced meal here. Attentive, fast and friendly service, indoor tables beautifully set with tablecloths in a nice quiet environment. Above all, delicious food and wine.

10/04/2026: Great food as everyone here says. We sat outdoors in a quiet corner just off the street next to the church. Benvenuto tasting pieces before the meal. We had the lamb cutlets and pork shin for lunch. All perfecto!

02/05/2026: We found this place in the Gambero Rosso guide. When we arrived, we asked if we could eat inside, but were told they were all busy, so we sat outside, even though it seemed pretty empty inside both when we arrived and when we left. Service was very slow, both taking our orders and delivering the food to our table. The food itself was good, but nothing exceptional; the portions of vegetables were extremely meager. I found the total bill, for a first course, a second course, and a side dish, slightly disproportionate.

A word of advice: if you want a high-end clientele... keep rude and disrespectful customers away... people who literally sit around at tables for hours, consuming a few coffees, preventing other customers from sitting down to enjoy the excellent specialties and the elegant atmosphere of the place... you get the idea! 😏

12/05/2026: Yes, it has always stood out for its courtesy and elegance, a location suitable for everyone. Breakfast is special in its variety, and coffee is served with a lid in a cup. It's a commendable note, not the usual glass of water but a minimalist bottle with a lid. It thus becomes an experience, not just a simple coffee break. The staff is competent in elegance and hospitality. Emphasis on Pastry, which excels in its attention to detail in terms of presentation, creative ability and above all the quality of the ingredients. If you love organoleptic contrasts, try the single-portion Mango Mousse together with their Setteveli. It is not intended to be the original creation: The Dance of the Beautiful Salome by the Three famous Italian Pastry Chefs who won and patented the coveted world pastry award back in 1997, but this is equally remarkable... Pastry is not a dish but Art and millimetric Order where the Whole is held in the little, for Beauty, Creation, Order and Quality of the Compounds.

02/05/2026: A place with rustic, home-style cuisine, free of unnecessary frills. We ate the best parmigiana of our lives, fresh handmade pasta with delicious sauces, and a tomato sauce that tasted of sunshine. We found it by chance thanks to the recommendation of a girl at the cathedral ticket office, whom I can never thank enough.

09/06/2026: We dined at this restaurant a few nights ago when we visited Modica. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the menu isn't the usual run-of-the-mill fare, with Mazara red shrimp and fish taking center stage. It's a selection of dishes that grandma makes, like the pasta with tinnirumi, which was excellent, and the rabbit alla stimpirata, which I'd never tried (the mint balanced the other flavors well). The almond jelly was highly recommended. When paying, we noticed that they sell the ingredients used in the dishes, such as Cosaruciara beans and Modica broad beans, which we were happy to purchase.

22/03/2026: I walked away feeling ripped off - especially since this was the first restaurant I’ve encountered in two weeks that sought a tip - starting at 24%. I found this place using the Michelin app and it currently has a 4.6 rating on Google. I got the “SHEEP MEAT /ENDIVE /BAKED RICOTTA CHEESE.” I didn’t know what to expect, but most other dishes were made from organs so I hoped to play it safe. The waiter described the sheep meat as a “pot pie,” made from different sheep meat “textures.” In essence, it was a compilation of sheep (lamb?) stripes and what appeared to me minced of sheep meet. It was ok, but nothing exciting. The “endive, baked ricotta” portion of the meal was a a small salad. The endive was boiled and impossible to cut. The taste of the ricotta was lost on bitterness of the endive. This certainly was not a Michelin not a Google 4.6 experience.

13/05/2026: Came here as recommended by the local tourist office and Gemini. It was very busy at 1pm when we were there. There were only two chairs for inside seating. The scacca was amazing. When we first saw it in the display case, it was honestly not too impressive. Folded flatbread with tomato sauce, cheese and herbs. After just one bite, we couldn't stop eating it. Flavour is rich and has a lot of depth. You can see the layers. It's like a lasagna made by layers of bread, eaten handheld. So good!

02/05/2026: When I visited Ragusa, I heard this was a shop where locals go to buy food, so I went to check it out. Even when I was there, customers kept coming in one after another! It might be an exaggeration to say it was 30 centimeters in diameter, but it was about that big, like a pizza with a lid (?!). I bought a biscotti & focaccia for 4.40 euros. It was incredibly delicious! Very filling too!!! When I bought it, the shopkeeper asked if I wanted it warmed up, so I said yes. They wrapped it in aluminum foil, and I devoured it piping hot while looking at the night view of Ragusa Ibla. Moments like these are unforgettable moments in life, this is happiness for me!! I want to go back and eat it again. Thank you to the shopkeeper for your kind service!

16/11/2025: We stumbled upon Al Gradino by chance and instantly fell in love with it. Around 9:45 pm, we were lucky enough to snag a spot on the steps – very cozy and with a unique atmosphere. They don't serve food at that hour, but the drinks were excellent. The service was quick and attentive, and the view of the illuminated city of Ragusa was breathtaking. An absolutely atmospheric place for an evening drink!
